Based on that, we trusted the process. Then communication from Lily and Aiden completely stopped. For three straight weeks, multiple follow-ups were ignored. When Lily, the Chief of Staff, finally responded, there was zero accountability for the lack of communication. Instead, the response was dismissive and defensive. At that point, we were told our son could play--but not on the team we were originally assured wouldn't be an issue. By then, the opportunity for him to play with his friends was already gone. This wasn't a complicated situation--it was simply handled poorly from start to finish. The lack of responsiveness, organization, and basic professionalism is unacceptable, especially for something involving kids. The entire experience felt careless and poorly managed. If you're a parent considering this organization, don't rely on what you're told upfront and be prepared for little to no communication when it actually matters.

For our nine year old, the coach had three additional practices during the week for an hour and a half each. He also said that if he didn't come, he wouldn't play. I understand commitment and had I known of the extra practices, I wouldn't have signed him up. In addition, the coach would just yell at the boys. He was very rarely encouraging. Unless you are looking for a "professional" league for your kid, I would absolutely not recommend this league.

If you have played here, you know it's hot, though they do try to combat this with giant fans. My #1 issue is the lack of room for guests/watchers. I would always invite friends and family to our games and they would sadly sit one the concrete floor. I understand that is how this place was built, but just an honest review in comparison to some of the other facilities I've played at! Glad it's still around. The desk with snacks also has a ball pump which is super helpful. Also shouts out Orlando, he is such a kind, fun, and honest ref.

Needless to say, I had an awesome time and decided to join their Bar Sports league. Fast forward a few years.. I've made so many friends and connections through Nakid. I want to reiterate, this is a social league. If you're looking for an ultra-competitive kickball league, this is probably not going to be your cup of tea. This is an amazing league for people who want to meet more people and be social. Oh, and did I mention that we love to drink? Schaefer Athletic Complex has multiple ball fields for games. There are smaller bench seats for…read moreseating, but no covering or shade. The walkways leading up to the fields are all dirt. Be prepared if you watch games in hot weather or during the many unpredictable storms in the Denver metro area. Bring an umbrella for shade or rain. There are also trees in the center between all fields, where chairs can be set up to watch games in the shade. Concession stands are open depending on the event.

Plus this organization not only "supports drunk people running around in the hot, arid summer air" they also have fundraising and charity events and get 20 & 30 somethings together weekly in an active event. And if you think kickball is "easy" I'll have you know it was hard to walk for about 2 days after my first practice. And if you pitch it's basically like doing lunges for an hour and a half. The games are fun to play and fun to watch and whoever wins at the end gets the magical Golden Boot as a prize. Man, I'd like to touch the boot.

Plus, if you're a member (or pretend to be), every first Wednesday of the month, Play Coed and Wahoo's Fish Tacos team up for happy hour provide free drinks (um yes, beer!) and free food at any Wahoo's location. At the 20th and Grant location, they even give away free tickets to any KSE (Kroenke Sports Enterprises, for all you non-acronym geeks like me out there) sports game, i.e. if you wanna go to a Rapids, Nuggets, Mammoth, or Crush game for free, get your tight and toned butt (from all that kickball you've been playing) down to Wahoo Wednesdays!
