He ordered parts immediately and returned a few days later to perform the work and get me up and running again. The technician was prompt, professional, extremely knowledgeable and really nice. This is the second time that I have used Marathon Appliance and I will definitely use them again in the future. They go the distance!

I actually kicked him out of my house within one minute of him arriving which I NEVER have done for a service person before. I needed our dryer repaired because heating element was no longer working. My husband had removed the front cover of the dryer to replace the thermal fuse to see if that would fix the problem. When it did not, we called marathon to come out for a diagnostic call. We figured leaving the cover off would be no problem and allow for easy access. John arrived, wasn't particularly warm on the onset (seemed annoyed or stressed). As I led him to the laundry room, I acknowledged that the dryer was partially disassembled. Which honestly was a stretch because it was literally just the front cover off, no parts were undone. He immediately says "Uh, well that's a problem. I can't fix a dryer I can't diagnose." When I paused for clarity, he goes on to say (in an excessively rude and condescending tone) "I mean I'll try because I'm going to charge you the service fee anyway, but you really should have mentioned that in your scheduling. I usually charge an additional fee to put the dryer back together before servicing it." Had he said all of this in a polite tone, I would have inquired about the cost to reassemble the dryer, and then with understanding, say go ahead and do what you need to do. I wasn't trying to withhold any information, And honestly, it wasn't even really disassembled. His tone, approach, manner towards me was so incredibly rude and offensive, and frankly, I don't think he would've talked that way to my husband (or a man) like that. I simply asked him to leave my house. He promptly says " OK, Good luck" With an arrogant tone and then proceeds to walk out of my house and slam the door. Clearly, he doesn't need the business. Ladies, if you want to be treated with respect - AVOID!!

Our refrigerator in our garage is only a few years old but it started making a noise off and on so…read morewe called John's Appliance Repair last week. Aaron came out the next morning and was able to make a repair that was definitely less expensive than replacing the entire condenser fan motor. Aaron was very nice and professional and ended up gluing the magnet onto the motherboard or something like that. We had to keep the unit unplugged for 24 hours to allow the epoxy type glue to dry completely. I plugged it in 24 hours later as instructed and the refrigerator and freezer compartments got cool and have since stayed at the appropriate temperature. And here we are a week later and it is still doing just fine. If that repair hadn't done the trick and we did need to replace the fan motor, they are all on back order and I am confident Aaron would have been able to retrofit one that would work, with no problem. I am just disappointed at how cheaply appliances are made these days. But glad that I know who to call to fix them when needed. I highly recommend John's Appliance Repair!

I needed an electric stovetop burner control switch repaired, a job John's Appliance Repair had previously performed on another burner switch without any drama or issues. In contrast, Action Appliance diagnosed the issue, claimed it would be a major two-person job, and requested half the payment upfront before starting the work. Furthermore, they quoted me more than double the price I had previously paid. Consequently, I paid their trip fee and hired another company instead. The new company completed the job with a single technician, charged less than half of Action Appliance's quote, and did not require payment upfront.

Thankfully, Tim Tardo came to the rescue like a true laundry whisperer. He literally listened to the dryer for a few seconds and said, "Yep, sounds like a busted drum support wheel." And sure enough, he was spot on. After the repair, it went from sounding like a jet engine taking off to a quiet hum -- like a proper Speed Queen should. And the best part? The repair was a great value. For the price we paid, we now have a solid, reliable machine that runs like new -- easily one of the smartest investments we've made for our home. Tim also took the time to show me a scary amount of lint buildup around the heater coil. Hello, potential fire hazard! He explained that was causing the odd smell when we first turned it on. He gave great advice about routine cleaning to keep things running safely and smoothly. Super knowledgeable, honest, and just a great person to have in your corner when appliances go rogue. If you've got a machine that needs some love, don't hesitate -- call Tim!
