He told you up front what he felt you could expect from his work. In my case I had a large dent on the rear bumper of my new Telluride. Someone had hit my car hard while I was parked and they were turning into a parking space beside me. Joe thought he could get the dent out but the way it was hit and where it was hit the job was a little complicated. Joe took his time working to remove the dent for almost a couple of hours but in the end he got the dent out. He even buffed out the scuffs on the fender from the hit. He even helped with the touch up painting of the scratches left from the accident which I am not sure was part of his quote. If you have an issue, I highly recommend you give him a call. But clients should be aware that by going to your house you are missing on the improved quality that a proper shop environment would provide (improved tools, paint job and more materials), and this is not well communicated by Fender Menders. After the service, I called mentioning that it wasn't looking finished yet, I was told that I should, myself, wait for 3 weeks then wet sand the area then wax it. If this was mentioned prior to the service I would be fine, but it wasn't. I guess to summarize my feedback: * Over-communicate what is and what isn't included on the service. * Make sure people understand what they are missing out for not going to a proper body shop space. * I'd suggest doing a second visit for so that the sanding and waxing can be done properly and so that any missing imperfections can be fixed. Since I was told the tailgate and fender would need total replacement because the aluminum cannot be repaired that the damage was too extensive. I went to two other body shops and they told me approximately the same thing. VAS repaired the damage for $1000. you cannot tell it was ever damaged. The owner of one of the other shops recommended I go to VAS, that he is the only one they know to fix it without replacing the fender and tailgate. Surgi, the owner, I found is a wonderful man also.
