It is very unfortunate to leave such a negative review but I do believe it is necessary when it comes to speaking about Dentist at Westchase. I became a patient here back in 2024 where I went in for x-rays due to tooth pains. It was determined I had two cavities that needed to be filled and would be regular fill since it was not attacking the nerve. I can't even begin to type how terrible my experience at this dentistry was. To keep this statement short over the span of a year I received one fill, three adjustments, a refill on BOTH cavities, and an additional adjustment. Not only did they not fix the pain but it only made it worse. I am now dealing with the worst sensitivity and pain on the right side of my mouth that I've ever had. The pain Is nowhere near as bad as the pain I had from the original cavity and every single time I back to Dentist at Westchase with my concerns in finding a solution they told me they were not sure what was causing the pain that they will try to adjust it again. Eventually it came to a time where I could no longer deal with them, I asked for a second opinion and the doctor chuckled and said a second opinion at my dentist would be a bit off since they will ALL have the same opinions. This is the moment I knew that this dentistry was extremely unprofessional and was not looking out for their patients best interest. I am no longer a patient at this dentistry and I would recommend for everyone to find a better alternative. When I went to a new dentist they told me the fil was done way too wide and there was debris left in my gums! DEBRIS LEFT IN MY GUM! I am currently filing a complaint against Dentist at Westchase and I will be furthering the investigation. Not only was my experience terrible, procedure done incorrectly, material left in my gums, but they totally overcharged me and I paid double the amount of money then the new dentist I'm at charged me for the same procedure. read more

Everyone here is very nice, but I can't help but feel like they go in looking for issues to charge you thousands of dollars. I highly doubt my last dentist was so incompetent to miss these things. They also have a strict cancel/reschedule policy and charge a fee if you have to change your appt last minute. Also most things require payment up front, no payment plans. I do have very strange experience with this office. Went twice for the periodical teeth cleaning which was never done. The first time it was gingivitis problem. The second time they started from checking my blood pressure. Of course my BP went high regarding the entire thing. Than received bill with tremendously increased interest rate for the tooth removal done in 2024. Although I did have dental insurance...So far my dental insurance wasn't charge for anything. About one week ago I called this office again, and tried to ask dentist some professional questions, but was put me on hold for about half an hour. Didn't make any appointment. While waiting I spoke with three different people. It wasn't possible to make an appointment to dentist. Finally, I lost my patience. Then, the receptionist started to yell at me. After that, she put me on hold for good and never connected again. Definitely it wasn't professional and I'm not recommending this place to anyone. read more

I would highly recommend visiting Dentists at Westchase for the most professional and kind dentist visit you will ever experience!! Dr Tauland Kruja, Nicole, Sean, Lili and everyone on the team were so incredibly helpful, patient, caring and very informative. I had an emergency situation with a broken PFM crown and they scheduled me right away and miraculously were able to fit me with a CEREC Fired Ceramic crown that they made right there in their office!!! AMAZING WORK!!!! They also were able to extract a back molar for me that was cracked and untreatable and I can tell you I feel so much better. The pricing was very reasonable and they were able to help me to stay within budget!! I can tell you that I have trust issues with dentists from work done in the past but please believe me when I tell you that this team of dentists can truly be trusted with your teeth and even your kid's teeth. This place worked quickly to help me get my oral surgery done! Sherry was an absolute legend. She stayed after hours the night before just to call my insurance and get me a quote. I think every office needs a Sherry! The other office staff were super friendly as well. The Dentist was a stand-up guy and my whole entire experience was 10/10. This office does not practice dentistry, it practices fraud. You need a deep clean on 1st visit your gums are inflamed! My prior dentist of 7 years that I saw every 6 months never said that. OK no deep cleaning for $135 out of my pocket then you don't get your scheduled routine cleaning. Oh no! The special xrays you took are not cover by insurance, never said anything about this and never heard of these type of xrays. NOT PAYING!!! never asked! Got new dentist, said teeth in good condition, deep cleaning not necessary. This what waiting for to file complaint with State of Florida, Agency for Health Care. Encourage All Others! read more

The dentists created this extravagant treatment plan for me and I trusted them. Came up with over $2000 for it. The insurance company denied all of it. I know insurance companies can be full of it, but for the Drs to request multiple services and they denied ALL of it is insane. Something isn't right here! I fault both, but okay. The office offered a settlement of 40% off and I countered offering to pay 50% of the remaining balance. Bottom line is I don't have extra hundreds of dollars just laying around! Nicole and Sherry both said they can't do that because they aren't authorized so it will have to go to collections. Well who can authorize it? I'm sure Smile Generation would love to take my money. Debt is sold for pennies on the dollar and they wouldn't even get half of what I'm offering by selling it. Not to mention I intended on staying with the office. So this makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. They'd make significantly more money keeping us as patients and taking my settlement. Needless to say I am immediately finding a new dentist for my family. UPDATE the office called me back to settle for 50%. I'm still upset at having to go through this, but I will consider staying. Up until now I have never had a bad experience. Going forward, I would suggest for patients to have the provider request prior authorization for the procedure they are recommending so you won't get stuck paying 100% of the bill when you have insurance. read more

VERY WEIRD VERY UNPLEASANT EXPERIENCE. Unfortunately Jovanka the hygienist has a hard time answering questions without getting offended. She's very defensive. If you are performing any form of health on patients you need to be prepared to be asked questions and educate them. Was a terrible experience from the moment I first asked a simple question. Appointment was for 1030. Didn't get seen till 11:10. Then after the 4th attempt at Jovanka taking my blood pressure and not liking the results and trying it again. I asked if they are acting as a general physician now since she was performing the typical questionnaire of a nurse rather than what I've experienced with hygienists. She couldn't answer without giving so much attitude and got really emotional and defensive. Then even though she's running late? And even though we haven't started yet by 1115. And this was the kicker for me... She finds it more important to go tell the doctor that she's upset with me rather than getting started. Shame. Because the first time I went here just a few days ago I had a totally fine experience. Dr. Button will answer your questions and take his time. He was patient and kind. And The dental assistant was sweet. Jovanka found it easier for me to walk out and get a refund then complete her job because she can't handle a question on why she's doing what she's doing without taking it very personally. Went to Sophia Mikhail and told I needed 4 root canals, 5 crowns, and previous fillings revised and fixed due to decay present under the fillings. I asked what I could do to prevent this from recurring and she responded that there wasn't anything I could do, that it's due to my thyroid issues. I got a second opinion and discovered I do not need any root canals, crowns, or fillings redone. The second opinion dentist also placed me on a prevention plan as I do have dry mouth which can cause imbalances in pH of saliva and cavities. Be careful when reading these reviews... many posters are office staff, such as Ivette Olivera. I am 100% positive of this as she sent me my X-rays to give my new dentist. I've also now read of multiple complaints on google and yelp of others discovering that most positive ratings are completed by staff members. read more

Tried to scam our insurance company, did not confirm authorization for major dental care with us adequately nor service us for nearly 2 hours our initial appointment for exam and cleanings. Added over $2800 of dental work onto our care plans, making it sound worse than it was to manipulate us into financing part of the payment and letting them file a claim under the assurance the insurance would accept it. Office manager and dentist are both negligible and incompetent as well as shady. When I tried to resolve things the office manager replied " how do you expect me to run a lucrative business " You are providing medical services it's your job to verify waiting periods and service plans or options in depth with all parties involved not only the patient. I have filed a formal complaint both with the BBB and Florida Health Assurance Department overseeing dental licensing. read more

I've seen two other dentists my entire life (my grandfather was a dentist) so I was a little nervous about going to a new dentist. I've seen Dr. Button and Dr. Mikhail and both have been amazing. They are quick to see you and are very thorough, professional, and personable. They have made me feel comfortable and walked me through the next steps each time. I absolutely love hygienist, Jovanka. Office manager (Ivette)is the worst and is the reason my family left this practice. She doesn't think it is her responsibly to answer your questions, return your call for weeks, and she is rude/unprofessional. I had to contact the district manager to get a refund due to me, and even then it took a while and many phone calls. See the other review comments about her. Under the new management the doctors and techs were quality and we will miss Jovi. It's unfortunate that one staff member ruins the place. read more

Shady. I'm not saying there aren't nice people working there, but the business model is focused on separating you from your money. The guy who tells you your price is going to be "ONLY" $785 needs to cut that crap out. You don't know me - don't tell me what is "only" for my finances. Unfortunately I also suspect shoddy work. This dentist came highly recommended by a colleague. I loved being able to schedule an appointment on their website without having to speak to a receptionist. The online paperwork took 10 minutes or less and was painless. When I got there the first thing that caught my eye was the treatment room on the corner of the building with windows on all sides. In the predawn light. It looked pretty awesome! The next thing that blew me away was when Doctor Pritesh came to get me himself from the waiting room. This was all part of the new customer experience. The thing that I liked was the photos on all the walls. Interspersed throughout stock images of common objects that look to be smiling, were family photos of the doctors and staff. This was the most comprehensive dental exam I've ever had - bar none. Even when it came to detecting that I'm a frequent tongue biter and referring me to a specialist. Jody, the dental hygienist, was amazing!! I highly recommend this dentist!! read more

Sales sales sales sales sales. 10:00 am x Ray and cleaning appointment and 12:00 pm still no cleaning has started. Stay away. Office staff rude and do not text when they say they did to pre register. I came into do the $59 cleaning and X-ray but needed deep cleaning instead so office staff said no cleaning today or "you only get polishing why would you do that?" Tried to pressure me to pay for the deep cleaning instead of asking me to do it later. Blood pressure taken completely wrong. Dr Button is nice and pleasant. Too bad he's with This group. read more

I needed to find a new dentist as my current dentist no longer accepted my insurance. I really wanted to stay with my dentist but we are on a tight budget so it was important to stay within our network coverage. I booked an appointment for a cleaning, xrays, exam with Dentists at Westchase. To sum things up, I take very good care of my teeth and have been told so. Floss and brush 3 times a day, dental cleanings and visits every 6 months. Now suddently, at my exam, the dentist and her office manager tried to push deep cleanings on me, stating I would basically lose my teeth if I did not follow through on treatment. WHAT???? Never have I been told this. I refused to go through with their very pricey treatment plan, as I felt something was not right. At that point, the dentist basically gave me what I would refer to as a "drive through cleaning", lasting about 5 minutes. Nothing but the ultrasonic tool, no taking her time with the other dental tools I am used to per my prior cleanings. She and her staff basically lost interest in treating me as I would not go through with their pricey treatment recommendation. Fast forward to today, one month later. I decided to suck up the costs and continue to see my other dentist and low and behold, all is fine - no major issues. BEWARE - This is not what I feel to be a reputable business. They are just out to make as much money as they can from you. Extremely dissapointed and expected more from the Westchase area. read more

I've seen the negative reviews. I can only state my positive experience at this office. My impression is they are very much on top of mine and my son's dental health. I had 2 crowns for my molars put in. They gave me the option of going with a bridge where im missing a molar with 2 crowns or just crown my molar that was already set up for a crown. Dentists at westchase have a great team of professionals that are incredible. Dr.Nicholas not only took care of my unusual mouth retainer that got broken, but also took time to go over my diagnosis and discuss treatment options. Dr.Jovanka was wonderful, she combines expertise and willingness to listen and discuss. The whole staff was very helpful and kind. It's rare to find a doctor that combines such personal touches and care for a patient as a person with outstanding quality of medical care. We had a great experience! The place is fairly new, so it's clean, with new machines. The staff was very considerate and friendly. They took the time to go over the procedures, and gave us a few options. They have flexible hours and now opened on Saturday's. Under new management and it is so horrible. I previously had my dental work here but after today this will no longer be my dentist. The guy at the front desk was new and had no clue what he was doing! They then tried rushing my husbands service because they said they were running behind... it was so bad my husband ended up walking out and we did not get serviced! Highly recommend this office. The woman up front (forgot her name but very nice) was cooperative and efficient in getting me checked in. Dr. LeClair was very thorough, extremely nice, and knew how to explain things to meet you where you are. Mel, the lady doing the charts, was very nice and knowledgeable. Paige, the DA made great conversation and was very quick in the x-ray field. Jovi, the hygienist was a pleasure to talk to and knew what she was doing through every step.
