I went in mentioning that I would like to get a second pair so that I wouldn't have to move them as much from shoes to shoes but wanted to know if there was anything they could do about the pair falling apart. I was told to go to my podiatrist, get a new prescription and come in, then they could tell me if they could do anything about the first pair. Bottom line, they wanted me to pay for an office visit with my podiatrist, get a new prescription, come in and possibly be told, "Sorry, we can't do anything about the pair falling apart. Would you like to buy another pair?" I even offered to leave the old supports for the clinician to take a look at. I was told that the clinician wouldn't have time. "Would you like to make an appointment?," then he could tell me. Couldn't believe that I was being told this.

That doesn't seem far unless you are dealing with Los Angeles traffic driving time. My last diabetic shoe purchase took 3+ months to arrive. I arrived to pick them up on the 3rd rescheduled appointment to be told tat they were not there again. As i was readying to leave, i was told "wait, let me check the box that just came in!" There it was. I just barely avoided another wasted trip. Today I drove the hour to my appointment to be told that "my diabetic inserts were not ready. Would I come back in the afternoon." Since I have been receiving almost daily text messages reminding me of my appointment, I know that they value their time. I only wish that they extended the same courtesy to my time. It would have been more professional to call me and confirm my products were available for pick up or to reschedule for a date when they were. My lesson learned is that from now on I will call the office to confirm availability before I drive all the way into the office.
