When you walk into FID the atmosphere screams "kids" which is PERFECT. It is clean, professional, organized. There are fish tanks, which are so fun for kids to enjoy while they wait, and they are immaculate inside. Which, anyone who has fish, knows how much work they are. Everything is safe for kids of any age, there is a climbing area and slide near the back, comfortable seating all around, books, etc. Plenty to keep your child entertained while they are waiting, and give them a positive feeling about the experience in general. Until a child is 3(or so) they get an exam in the parents lap. So we all went into a room which had some fun toys in it, enough chairs for all of us, plus a small one for her, and had her exam. As expected, because it was something new, our daughter was a little apprehensive and cried, but the staff were super calm and efficient with her, so that she didn't need to be upset any longer than necessary. Our hygienist(Kendra) was really knowledgeable, friendly, gave us a ton of good info, and sent us out the door with her next appointment scheduled, feeling good about the next steps in her oral care. The dentist(Joe) was really kind, professional, great with our daughter, and quick while working with her as he could see she was uncomfortable. They were awesome with her, patient, and forgiving as she had a meltdown because she was scared of the new experience. Honestly, they need to make adult dentistry businesses like this, because it was a fun, friendly, and great atmosphere for her and me. I would 10/10 recommend them to anyone with kids, especially those that are a little shy, or nervous around strangers. The staff and facility here are excellent and I cannot wait to continue doing business here as my daughter grows up and we continue to care for her oral health together.
