I have seen the…read moresame dentist every time I have visited (usually every 6 months as I have a problem with my jaw) which is great; continuity of care is a rarity in the NHS and it makes so much difference to me to build up a rapport with medical professionals. The receptionists, my dentist, and all of the nurses who have assisted with my appointments have always been lovely. Especially my dentist who I trust implicitly always has time to explain things to me on my level and lets me jump around to see my X-Rays when they are taken (yearly, as standard NHS preventative care) as I'm always curious to see (I study human biology). The practice offers both NHS and private care. I have used both services and I have always been very pleased with them. The building itself is very nice - quite newly built (or refurbished). The waiting room is nice (although you might want to bring a book) and the treatment rooms are really very nice - all the mod-cons (as far as I am aware!) and much nicer than several other dentists I have been to. I usually opt for early morning appointments as that usually guarantees you will be seen with the least delay (I forgive them in the evenings if there's a bit of a wait - I assume my dentist cares for each patient individually and provides the care they need be it on a shorter or longer time than allocated (15mins per patient). I would recommend to everyone and anyone in the area. I always leave my dentist happy that I've received VIP treatment.

I have now missed 3 appointments, in as many months; part in due, to the 'changes in practise: the…read morePractice USED to send phone reminders, a day prior. This procedure, in hindsight, would have been the reason of never missing an appointment during the 6 or so years of being treated here; I have evaluated my mental state, due to my recent non-shows; attributing this to declining memory, or stress. It seems, that with the withdrawal of the phone prompt, there will be a streamlining of elderly patients attending, or being struck off the books-which, I suspect, is now the case with me- due to no longer receiving these phone prompts. I am disappointed in this development; I once held this practice in high regard, especially during and after the pandemic of 2020; singing the praises of this once resilient, friendly practice, which demonstrated common sense whilst other NHS services seemed impotent in the previous crisis. This sharp practise, of 'streamlining' has changed my view, and others, I believe. I hope this review will be a wake up call for Lea Bridge Dental practice.

So I gave it a try and the dentist was good. There are a few dentists in the practice, I have seen 2 of them and they are pretty good so I would assume the others have the same standard. My dentists was thorough, she kept reassuring me that it won't hurt when she was cleaning my teeth. She told me what needed to be done and she'll tell you what needs doing if there is any. The first time I was there she took an x-ray and she said she would call me when the results came out that day. It was really good to get her call and she said there was nothing wrong with my teeth and that I only need to go back in 6 months.

I booked an appointment with the receptionist who was extremely helpful. The check-up was very thorough and as expected the dentist recommended a hygienist appointment. However, what I didn't expect was for him to tell me he could do the hygienist appointment there and then. I jumped at the chance as it was well overdue and saved me going back. I was extremely impressed with Chrysanth and will be back to see them soon when I've made a decision about my wisdom teeth!

As it was just across the road, and my wisdom tooth was refusing to stay submerged, I went over to pay her a visit. She turned out to be even more of a good character than I originally thought. After explaining to her what the problem was, she not only made me an appointment, she also gave me loads of tips on how to try and fix the problem myself. She obviously didn't tell me to take it out myself, she just offered cleaning tips.
