I have now missed 3 appointments, in as many months; part in due, to the 'changes in practise: the Practice USED to send phone reminders, a day prior. This procedure, in hindsight, would have been the reason of never missing an appointment during the 6 or so years of being treated here; I have evaluated my mental state, due to my recent non-shows; attributing this to declining memory, or stress. It seems, that with the withdrawal of the phone prompt, there will be a streamlining of elderly patients attending, or being struck off the books-which, I suspect, is now the case with me- due to no longer receiving these phone prompts.
I am disappointed in this development; I once held this practice in high regard, especially during and after the pandemic of 2020; singing the praises of this once resilient, friendly practice, which demonstrated common sense whilst other NHS services seemed impotent in the previous crisis. This sharp practise, of 'streamlining' has changed my view, and others, I believe. I hope this review will be a wake up call for Lea Bridge Dental practice. read more
