According to my experiences he is not even number one dental technician!! The first part of my dental care was a success because surgery performed by incredibly qualified surgeon Dr. Omar Lugo, who actually performed my entire implant surgery and ensured painless recovery and healing process, which was monitored by my local dentist as well. But unfortunately Neo Dental so called #1 dentist took out one of my perfectly fine implant for his own convenience so he can finish quickly and hop on to the next patient!. Upon checking the scan Dr Miler him self confirmed everything was integrated properly. But unfortunately when it was time to work on that implant I received a message that my appointment has to be rescheduled and that I have to stay in Cancun for another two weeks because they didn't have an abutment for that implant (proof on file). (There was plenty time to order that before I returned). But...it wasn't. I had to extend my stay because of that and after my husband went home Dr. Miller told me he will manage to finish my treatment sooner so I don't have to stay too long. To make that happen he personally picked me up the next day and worked on my implant that he didn't have abutment for. At some point he called to his assistant for extra Anastasia and soon after I was done. He the went outside and made a phone call and when he returned he set down and said; "here is your implant, it failed". I was speechless. To make things worse I still ended up staying two more weeks and even after second attempt my teeth wasn't made any better than a horse shoe. To fix my problem contacted Dr Omar as I figured he would be the most appropriate one to contact I was fortunate to arrange that and went to see Dr. Omar on October 1st, 2023. I am happy to say that he was able to fix the issues created by Neo Dental clinic which involved tightening and replacing some abutments, correcting my bite, aligning my teeth and giving me new set of beautiful set of zirconia teeth that brought my natural smile back. According to SOTA dental owner and Neo Dental this wasn't possible, SOTA Dental owner sees a smoke on the scan and Dr. Miller said I had a such a small mouth. If I had such a small mouth how did he manage to put such a big teeth in such a small mouth? Well, I got news for them with passionate team of professionals like Dr. Omar anything is possible. In response to SOTA owner response to my review. your emails said enough. When it comes to speaking of truth, you and truth are very far apart! Your emails and Millers messages could make a lot more interesting story than your Drs notes. I have a have great smile and fully functional mouth thanks to a Doctor Omar Lugo, you definitely can't take credit for that!! This time around I personally managed my care!!! And don't worry I I got in touch with Dr. Miller and dropped him a few lines as well.

We knew Joaquin when he was on the LSU Dental Faculty, teaching "Prosthodontology" under Art Mendez, and like them both. Berron is much more personable. If considering a trip, some considerations are: 1) How easy is it for YOU to go back-&-forth? 2) How much work do you need? 3) Do you like & feel safe in Mexico? 4) Do you have a local. Family Dentist for minor follow-up services? Berron & his staff/facility are BETTER than any dental operation we've been to in the USA. He gives detailed plans with cost & options ahead of time. Their Achilles' heel was the slow dental prosthetics lab, which took a week to make permanent devices. Then, if there were any problem, it would take a week to fix it. Berron is dedicated to providing World class services; so I'd bet the lab issue has already been fixed since our last visit around 2018. If one lives where there are direct flights; the best may be to go home for a week, then go back to finish. In our several experiences there, we found that the dental costs, plus the costs of the vacations, still beat U S prices. Also, I cannot speak for any of the other practices in "Dentaris Riviera Maya", which seems a loosely associated group with separate office facilities. Dr. Berron is quite expert at doing his own extractions & grafting, so most services are one-stop. If these considerations fit you, do consider going. We stayed at the local LaQuinta Hotel, but there are many other options at the beach. Once you see the quality, expertise, & detailed care; you will be confident. The entire operation is World Class. They will advise on, or even handle, some ravel details and provide local pick-up & drop-off for dental visits (only). The visit preparations resemble a concierge service in many ways. The only negative we found in our several visits was the slow prosthetics lab. Dr. Berron was well aware of this and was working on improving it on our last visit. As Cancun's Intercontinental Airport has grown into a major "Hub", other "international medical services'' flourish there, it has become an important industry for Quintana Roo & all Mexico. Dr Joaquin Berron' and Staff-…read more I hired Dr Berron to remove an old "ALL in 4" and place a new one. This would require 3 trips to Cancun. Nov 2024- Trip # 1 would require the removal of the existing ALL in 4 and bone grafts Bone Grafts- I had extensive lower bone grafts done at this clinic. However Dr Joaquin Berron' was not capable of completing them and hired a specialist from outside his practice. The surgeon hired did an excellent job and when my dentist back home took a 3D xray upon my return- he praised his skill Jun 2025- Trip #2. Dr Berron placed 4 implants on the bottom and fitted me for a lower temporary prosthetic. The implants were imbedded into the lower bone at a slant! And the temporay lower was poorly made and a colossal fail. It pinched and didn't fit properly. The day or surgery- I was taken back to my hotel room in pain and he knew this. I was told to give it a chance and he would see me again the next day. Upon arrival the next day which was Thursday morning- it was not any better and I wanted him to remove it and improve it. But he refused- instead he attempted to "grind" it down- while it was screwed down on my lower jaw. Only then did he inform me that he planned to leave town and I would have to wait 5 days to see him again- which would be late the afternoon the following Monday. At that point- I changed my airline flight and flew back to the states the next day and told him I would find someone else.. Upon arrival locally - I made an appt to see my regular dentist. When he looked at the recent xrays he was shocked and refused to comment- other then to say "I will keep my opinion to myself" Dr B and myself exchanged multiple emails - and text messages and I have copies of everything I have quoted on this email. I waited 3-4 months to heal and then In Oct I hired another dentist to make the permanent lower and his clinic did a fabulous job. In closing- I will add this. Dr B deserves a 1 star for the inferior job that he did- and for abandoning me and leaving Cancun when he knew perfectly well- it didn't fit and I was in pain because the quality of the prosthetic was so poorly made. The office manager, Aurora--not a doctor--is someone I now see as dishonest and completely unprofessional. No compassion, no accountability. I did some online searching and spoke to a couple of dentist. After I found Dental Design Studios on Google and spoke with Dr. Ortega DDS I knew I found the right place! Dr Ortega was always available to answer ANY and ALL questions with great patience, I wasn't even a patient yet and I would have thought she was my local dentist since childhood! So off to Cancun we went. It just so happened that My wife and I 24th anniversary fell on the same week we both needed work! So in just a 2 week span we coordinated with Dr Ortega and the resort and we found ourselves in paradise! Upon arrival to Cancún Dr Ortega had setup our transportation! The trip started off great! Monday comes around and that is when we met the Dental Design Studios driver Karlo! He pulled up in an almost brand new amazing van and we spent 5 days getting to know this awesome guy. He was kind and thoughtful and always on time! After getting to the office for the first time everyone was amazing. Liz at the front desk was welcoming with a smile. MY wife and I needed pretty major work done and they were so accommodating to our anniversary and made everything so smooth. On top of that we both needed additional unexpected work and they accommodated amazingly well and even stayed late and started early to make it happen! While having 5 root canals between the both of us and 5 crowns we saw 4 amazing Drs. Dr. Aldo Enriquez: Restorative Specialist he actually placed and set the crowns. He spent hours making sure they fit perfect and that the bite was amazing and he truly wasn't satisfied until we were. Dr. Aniria Castellanos: Root Canal Specialist she is a true specialist in her trade! She is actually a professor at a top rated dental school! She was insanely thorough and gentle! Dr. Mariale Corbie: General and Orthodontics Specialist did an amazing job completing a deep cleaning of my teeth with extreme gentleness! I actually fell asleep during the process! Gaby: she was the Dental Assistant, my wife deals with extreme anxiety from dentist in USA being so harsh a d rough and rude. Gaby made sure my wife felt extremely comfortable even kept her covered with a warm blanket! Lizette: Front Desk was always on her "A" game! Always had the appointments set and paperwork in order. I need to finish by saying that when we arrived we were quoted for what our local dentist had recommended, which was completely wrong! Unfortunately we needed more! Dental Design Studios was more thorough. The cost quoted was exactly what was charged. No upselling, no pressure for more! Every single aspect was all in the same building and so convenient! Dr. Marcela Rojo de La Vega spoke very good English, and after xrays and an examination determined that I needed an emergency root canal. Her associate Dr. Diana M. Lopez Canto did the actual root canal procedure. I'd never had a dental experience (or dental emergency) like this before and both women were very patient, explaining everything, really holding my hand (I was alone) making me feel comfortable, etc. They made time for me to come back 2 more times to complete the root canal work before I left to go home. There were a few times I had to use Google translate to communicate with them, but it was fine. Their prices were incredibly affordable. It's a small one-story building ( a very pleasant office) located off a busy thoroughfare on a side street. Very easy to get to on the public bus. Outside the hotel zone. I would consider going back there for other dental work because it was so much cheaper than the US, yet good quality work. It's easy to reach them by regular office phone or WhatsApp.

I went to Cancun and got the first part (the surgical part) of the All on 4 dental procedures. I did not feel any pain during the surgery, because they do sedate you thru an IV. After they took out what remaining teeth I had and placed the implants, I was done for the day. YAY! I went to the beach and the pool. I had swelling which is VERY normal. I did not have teeth for about 4 days, eh, not too big of a deal, because I knew that was part of the process. I received a set of temporary teeth and was sent home for 6 months for the implants to fuse to the bone and become part of my body. I came back to Cancun 6 months to the day of my arrival the first time (April 4, 2021 - October 4, 2021) I was so excited to get my permanent set of teeth!! AND I LOVE THEM! I have had them in now about a week. Still learning how to talk with them and not bite my tongue. I have been able to eat everything that I have wanted including steak! I wish I would have seen Dr. German a bit more during my two trips, but he does stop by to see how you are feeling and I felt like he generally cared about the well-being of the patients. Another thing that I wish could have been changed is that the taxi driver is included in the price. I do have to say, Francisco one of the Taxi drivers they use IS TOTALLY AWESOME!!!!!!!!!! He was my driver for both of the times that I was there. He even drove me to the airport when it was time to go back home. I just wish that that was included... from my hotel (Riu Caribe to the dentist was about 10 dollars each way; not including tip).
