I recently took my kids here for the first time after switching over from Western Dental. Such a huge difference!! Not only were they attentive but they also listened to my concerns. The lady in the front office was very nice, helped with paperwork and answered all my questions prior to seeing the dentist. The woman at the front desk was incredibly kind, all of the staff was so caring and brought out a very kind side in my family, they brought us in incredibly fast! Not only that but the anesthesia was put in quick and pretty painlessly, they didn't need too much of our information even though we just walked in! This review is about three weeks late but I couldn't let my terrible experience go unshared. My son had a 10:30 appointment on a Friday morning. We arrived on time to a full waiting room and waited for 35 mins to be called into the exam room. This was a follow up appointment for him to have 2 fillings done and was expected to be a 25 minute procedure; it ended up being a 2 1/2 hour appointment. Turns out one of my son's teeth was cracked and the tooth needed to be extracted instead of capped. I'm okay with this change, my issue is with the doctor because she had zero bedside manner and honestly looked like she didn't want to be there (it was giving intern biding their time and completing hours in a predominantly black and brown area...ugh). The dental assistants were all friendly and personable...shout out to them! It has to suck to work with doctors who overbook themselves and leave you to manage anxious and bored children though. I was able to help my son regulate through the wait but it became increasingly difficult because they wrapped him like a burrito and left us WAITING for a solid 45 mins...(he's 4 years old) it was a recipe for disaster. Needless to say my child is now traumatized because it was the dental visit that the fear and loathing of dentists is made of and I have extreme mom guilt for staying and just wanting to get the work done instead of leaving this place as my impatience and irritability grew. The dentist didn't even give after care instructions....I had to ask; CRAZY!!! Avoid this place at all costs, I most certainly am after this horrible experience. You're welcome! read more

Receptionist was friendly. I brought my 8 month old daughter to meet a dentist her first visit due to a concern lip tie. The dentist rushed the exam I told her my concern and she said it's not a big deal. And walked away and said they were going to do a cleaning lOl? How? my daughter is to young for a cleaning she only has 5 teeth that are barley coming out . I said no that's fine I know for a fact she won't let herself thank you. Then the dentist quickly replies no she will and walks away. So I get up because at this point I feel like they are forcing the cleaning and I bring back the topic of lip tie and she said I can talk to my pediatrician about it? Sorry, I just thought I would get a talkative, informative dentist but no. They don't care. They just want to charge your insurance for something ! read more

Since my daughter was little I have taken her to this dentist. However lately they haven't been attending well, they are always rushed. They filled my daughters cavities and they didn't even give her a gauze to bite on. They had a really bad attitude. I called the lady that works in the front and she said to do whatever I want. They are good when it comes to charging people but they don't have good customer service. I don't recommend this place and it's obvious that I won't be coming back again. read more

So far they were pretty quick with service and my little boy receiving his fillings for cavities. The dentist took her time and was patient while administering the shot in his gums. He did cry of course but it was brief. He got the work on his teeth done fast even with him not having an appointment. They use the old school filling which I didn't like but I guess you have to request the 'non Mercury' containing kind or an alternative filling.Im just happy his tooth pain is gone. The Doctors are unprofessional and rough! Be aware, they have no bedside manners! Maybe because of the area, they feel as if they don't have to offer the same sense of consideration and decent conduct! My children both had swollen gums after general cleaning! So I took my son for in for treatment and my daughter for her progress on stained teeth. First Dr. Jay had the assistant ask me what was done to her in the past (she is only 1) I explained I was told 2 months ago about her stains and was told to come in a couple months to see if they had gotten worse. I explained my point of view of the progress to the new assistant, she then went to explain Dr jay they had their conversation going on, I was expecting Dr jay to explain to me her "crown recommendation" but she send the new assistant. NEVER DID SHE CROSS A WORD WITH ME 3FT AWAY!!! EVERY SINGLE TIME BEFORE ALL THE DOCTORS WOULD TAKE A MIN OR 2 AND EXPLAIN ME EVERYTHING AND ANSWER ALL MY QUESTIONS AND THOUGHTS. But As usually it's always different Dr that's on site for their check ups. It's like they hire foreign trainers or people just starting the dental field. Never in the 10 years with them have I seen the same Dr twice! I was advised he would get treatment for 2 cavities and a 50/50 chance for a rear upper crown, if they touched the nerve then they had to proceed to a root canal by the male assistant. At that moment I left like walking out as for them not knowing what was going on. I did not want to put my kid in a painful situation because of their fault. I hoped for the best and for them to avoid the root canal procedure. I signed his anesthesia consentient. Meanwhile I had to ask about 1: The laughing gas they were applying on my son and that they recently started to use (I've been coming here for over 10 years), 2:how many cavities he had and the process. 3: The afterward care to the receptionists, before I walked out because I wasn't told anything. I was back and forth with both my kids today but my husband was with either one, they were not a second unsupervised. I then went back to get my daughters X-rays. 5-10 min later that I'm back to check up on him Dr jay and the male had already put a crown on him! I was advised there was a 50/50 chance by him! I would of appreciate it if I was advised before hand! THIS IS MY 5 YEAR OLD SON GOING UNDER PAINFULL TREATMENT!!! I was extremely upset! My husband was right behind the glass door for good sake! How hard was it to tell a parent?! I will not be bringing my kids back here EVER! and I will tell all my family members to finally stand up to what they have also done here. It just seems that over the years it's gotten worse! Half of the staff is very professional friendly and polite and I'm talking about the receptionist the 2 female assistants that have been there a pretty long time they know who they are. The male assistant wasn't nice at all today! IF THEY SEE MY KIDS IS SCREAMING IN PAIN, THEN MAYBE YOU SHOULD ASK IF HE IS FEELING THE PROCEDURE, NOT JUST CONTINUE LIKE IF IT DOESNT MATTER!! I AM BILINGUAL AND IF IM ASKING QUESTIONS AND RESPONDING IN SPANISH ITS BECAUSE I PREFER TO SPEAK IN THAT LANGUAGE, ANOTHER NEW FEMALE ASSISTANT KEPT RESPONDING IN ENGLISH TO ME WHEN SHE CLEARLY SPEAKS AND UNDERSTANDS BETTER SPANISH THAN I DO. I had asked for what was done with my son in written and specially with the Drs name! They did not provide me with her full name even though I requested it. I had to call back for it. All the staff there are always nice and so welcoming. I take my kids all the time and they love them. Especially Mary. She's the best.

Dr. Amber didn't introduce herself on two occasions and didn't even give my 4 year old time to numb his mouth or get anesthesia even after I signed paperwork for it. I paid $150 for him to have a white cap put on instead of a silver crown & he was back there screaming like he was dying. They don't let you in the room while they are doing work which is understandable but you can look through the door and she wasn't even trying to soothe him or say it's okay or anything. The assistants & staff are nice and came in and tried to calm him down but Dr. Amber never said anything to my son as if he was getting on her nerves. I got that exact vibe from her the first time because she didn't come in & say, "hi my name is dr whatever" but I gave her the benefit of the doubt. She just kept going while he was screaming, "it hurts" and I'm standing there thinking how? I even cracked the door and asked her could she let him catch his breath. She was rushing like he's an vicious animal. Didn't even take 10 minutes to finish because i let my daughter watch Cocomelon on my phone & before I know it my son was yelling. I was so upset. She does not need to work with children at all. She is so rude & has no patience with innocent individuals. I have never written a review on anyone but people like that do not need to work with children because they are too precious. Even my son's little sister started crying for him. Amber Hsieh is evil and if his tooth comes out I'm going to sue her for rushing & all the other horrible reviews I just read. She didn't instruct me on how to care for him afterwards or how long he can go without eating or anything. He'll be going elsewhere. read more

The very first time for teeth cleaning, the place was great, the customer service the establishment. It was great, But when my grandson went in there for a crown, the service was horrible. Dr. Amber was laughing at remarks about my grandson being in pain.... she tried to complete the job now my grandson looks like he is asking for a kiss... horrible job will not recommend this place to no one. read more

WORST !! WORST !! Dental Experience. So Dr.Amber Told me that my son needed a crown, but I didn't want my son to get a silver crown. So I decided to pay $150 for a white crown and when she was done she didn't even look at my son she just got up and left . Since my son was crying I immediately grabbed him and comfort him while I was walking out the door I checked the work she had done and it was completely Horrible the crown was so Bulky and my son look like one tooth was coming out of his mouth and it was so missed placed. I was so upset and asked to talk to her. When I did while I was telling her how I felt about the work she had done on my son she was smiling at me like i was saying some time of joke. SO NOT PROFESSIONAL! I got so upset I left . Made an appointment and went back a day after To get my sons tooth fixed. Can't believe I had to put my son in double pain all because she missed placed my sons crown and didn't care about the joy she had done. I AM NOT going back to this place. My husband recently visited Dental Playground near his work to get fitted with a mouthguard. The entire process was quick and easy from taking impressions of his teeth to his follow-up visit to ensure his mouthguard fitted correctly. Dr. Bae and Dr. Wu were both very personable in making sure that they had ordered the appropriate custom mouthguard and spending time to answer all his questions even though the waiting room and office was busy. I would definitely recommend this office for anyone near the area. This office also seems to be very children-friendly with many younger patients so I would recommend this place for those with kids. read more

Brought my son here for a dental exam and 2 cavities were discovered. The dentists and the assistants were very sweet and considerate of my little ones fears and anxiety. He was finished up in about 5 min and although he was scared he is okay to come back if ever needed. I'm grateful for the experience he had here and their attention to detail. read more

I visited this office on 1/25/16 with my 10yrs old daughter and I thought they did a great job that I immediately booked an appointment to return with my other 2 daughters the following day. So I returned today 1/26/16 and dealt with a different technician and the service was TOTALLY DIFFERENT! She was very irritable, and even was yelling and being aggressive with my 6yrs old. She had no patience for my daughter, who was just scared for she had not been to a dentist in over a year. She did not even explain what was happening with my daughters, instead she stood aside whispering to the other techician that i guess was in training. My daughter calmed down once the Doc returned and started explaining and showing her how the tools worked. I was able to expressed how I was treated to the office manager, but really don't think anything was truly going to be done. I will also be following up with the insurance company to give them my feedback from today's visit as well. At this point, I honestly don't know if I'll return but if it wasn't for today, I would have given them 4 Stars. That technician needs to understand when dealing with kids they can be very unpredictable and being patient, friendly and calm will help suffice the situation. read more
