While South Melbourne Dental Group won't make you LOVE going to the dentist, you certainly won't dread it nearly as much. I used to go to these guys purely for the convenience when I worked just around the corner. However I have continued to go there even though it's a decent car ride away. This dentistry group has a number of dentists on hand, however I go to see Adrian, who is an absolute delight and I highly recommend him. He's charming, will make you laugh and definitely put you at ease before he scrapes your teeth clean. Their equipment is top-notch and they offer other services such as teeth whitening, x-rays and wisdom teeth removal. Their infection control is impeccable which is really important for root canal as there needs to be a sterile field. The dentist was really thorough he checked my perio ( gums) and took an x-ray , he is also excellent at numbing up usually it takes me ages I was numb within 2 minutes which was great. I couldn't be more happy with the service of the dentist and his dental assistant who was friendly and efficient . My tooth now has a favourable prognosis he even managed to get part of a broken file out which is nearly impossible even for specialists . I have seen it time and time again people getting teeth extracted because it is cheaper but replacement options are just as expensive and they don't last forever not even implants. My advise as a dental assistant to anyone who needs root canal is to make sure they use a rubber dam to isolate the tooth from bacteria and also to help you to avoid swallowing the bleach solution used to irrigate the tooth, look around to ensure the staff aren't touching anything with their dirty gloves this can spread infection via other patients and know that root canals should not be painful it is the dentists job to be able to numb correctly. Don't sit there in agony, tell your dentist, they have an ethical obligation to stop and give you more anaesthetic The staff here tick all those boxes I couldn't be happier I would recommend them to anyone .

I felt very comfortable asking any questions that I had about the procedures/treatment. Dr. Patterson's assistant Loretta was lovely and gave me a lot of informative and personalised insight into the specific orthodontic treatments that were suitable for my teeth and the pricing options for each of them felt very reasonable and affordable.

The new orthodontist had it fixed in 4 weeks at about one tenth the cost. The premises are bright and modern but it is really like a factory. One of those was a 'consulting' visit. Of the remaining seven, 4 were to fix the brace that had come off. Only 3 appointments actually provided orthodontic treatment. At less than twenty minutes for each appointment that is over $8,500 an hour. If you take actual time with a dentist (at most 5 minutes a visit) then you are talking $26,000 an hour. I can come to no other conclusion that this place was over-servicing us and under-providing. I strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

I was very impressed with their service the first few times I was there. The cost of that was ridiculous but that aside, I would pay however much it takes to keep my tooth anyway. For some reason I decided to get a second opinion at another dentist and she did some x-rays and told me she couldn't see any crack. In fact, I needed fillings on other teeth and she even showed me the x-rays and explained my teeth issues. I was shocked!! Is K1 Dental one of those unethical dentists who tires to gain extra $$ by recommending unnecessary treatments???? .............I am going for a 3rd opinion. I arrived at Dr. Sourial's office the moment they opened and was greeted by a friendly staff. When I told them my problem, they immediately sought to work me in (as I did not have an appointment). I waited maybe 30 minutes and was seen by Dr. Sourial. The news was good that they could put my crown back on the tooth and it would only take a few minutes.
