The doctors are decent but the front desk staff is always frowning , no smiles and always pretending to look busy. I do not understand why they are no longer doing the reminder calls and why when you call you have to wait for more than 15 minutes on hold. This could be a great office if there's not for the unprofessional, unfriendly front desk staff. It's sad they treat everyone like this. read more

Dental Dreams? More like Dental Nightmares! I am not kidding. If I could give this place negative stars, I would. I went in on or about 6/12/2020. I was complaining of pain and After cutting about a 2" gash in my mouth. My friend who came with me has video of me crying in pain. They refused to give me anything more than Tylenol 3 for pain. Before I even sat down, I told them that I have a low tolerance for pain and am already in pain and that I would need something for pain. There is no excuse for that. I cried all night with an ice pack on my face. It was awful. No one should ever be in the kind of pain that I was in. They made me pay before they finished my treatment - and I have Delta Dental PPO. I have NEVER paid before the work was done. Usually they come and tell you how much it is going to be and you either agree to get the work done or you decide what you can and cannot do and They also charged me for a cavity that they did NOT fill. I was in this location last night getting teeth extracted. I was the last operation of the night, and once finished the Doctor there who was really nice told his employees to send my prescription in and it never happened. Instead of taking care of me their patient the immature, inattentive kids they have working there never sent my Prescription in and were too excited to just go home instead. I will never go back to this location again and they are lucky I don't sue them for malpractice. Hire some people that want to work and help people not amateur kids that don't know left from right! I don't recommend going to this place if you're taking time off of work mid day. I got there on time and filled out my paperwork and waited 45 minutes until I followed up and they told me I was waiting an additional 10-15 minutes and the cleaning and exam would take 30 minutes. At that point, I had just had enough and I had to go back to work due to meetings later that day. I am not going back. The staff was decently nice and followed for me when I asked them too. Just be prepared to wait over your appointment time and make sure you don't have anything else going on that day. read more

I took my seven year old for a filling today and the dentist filled her teeth completely connected the two teeth. He refused to fix it while she was numb after I noticed it and tried to bring her right back. She will have to have it fixed by another dentist now. read more

God. Where do I start? So I went in for a couple cavities, and I had the WORST experience possible. So I was in the chair and they numbed me up (mind u it wasn't more than like 2 mins after the injection) then she starts drilling on my GUMS and I can feel the heat, right? And I start pulling away and telling her it hurts. (While gasping cus you know pain) She ignores me and continues then when I start having a full blown panic attack and tell her to STOP she stops. Tells me to calm down and I just say stop I'm done and she said "oh ok, well maybe u should have your dr prescribe you something to calm you down next time u come in" I literally didn't get anything finished and nothing done but a numbed mouth and a panic attack. At the risk of "piling on", I'd like to add my endorsement of a Dental Dreams dentist, Dr. Gao. I have used dentists throughout my life, beginning in childhood with one who never used an injectable pain killer when filling my cavities. (Ugh! Remember, dentists were the first surgeons!) Dr. Gao is among the best dentists I've had the "pleasure" of using to maintain my teeth. She is professional in every respect. Attentive, communicative, responsive and knowledgeable. Dr. Gao is not new to her profession and works hard to preserve existing teeth. She has done everything from cavities to crowns to extractions in my mouth. I have super weak teeth, definitely had a period where all I did was sip on Mountian Dew, and not brush regularly, and it shows. So I see Dr.Pattel at this location, and I have nothing but good things to say about him. I've been to him multiple times in the past couple of years, and every time I leave that place, I feel more confident about my smile. My only complaint, is that during this Pandemic, they're Still pretty busy. I had originally scheduled an appointment for last Friday at 2 pm, and there were people standing it was so busy. I went there for a cleaning and all they did was spray air in my mouth and the waiting rooms a mess kids everywhere barley anyone actually wears a mask the rude staff there I heard them talking about me and other patients during the half hour wait in between the questions and cleaning they said none of the stuff would hurt but there where other patients who where crying from the cleaning so find any other dental place. read more

Dr. Gao is the worst dentist I have ever had, she spent 4-5 minutes trying to hang a picture on the wall with her gloves and mask on while I sat in the chair waiting, she never got checked any of my teeth, didn't get out any dentists tools either to check my teeth, then she cleaned my teeth like she was is in a race, she didn't use Dental floss in the cleaning or any dental picks either as a real cleaning calls for, she also hit my teeth with her metal cleaning tool 2-3 times and coughed twice in my face, I had water going down both sides of my neck and my shirt was all wet, water in my eye,nose,and face, and nothing to clean it up with,and when she was done, she just walked out of the room without a word, didn't ask about another appointment, nothing,the dental assistant also was bad and rude, beware,avoid at all ""teeth"" ALSO THE WAITING ROOM WAS THE FILTHY. read more

Don't go there after 3 p.m. as a walk-in because they won't wait on you, they'll turn you away. Just a heads up!!!

I would like to be seen by my dentist within 20 minutes of my appt time. Having to wait anywhere from a half hour to 50 minutes is unprofessional and unacceptable. This would not be tolerated if the dentist were the one made to wait. If my appt time is 2pm, I should be addressed and given the dental procedure that I made the appt for. Time is precious, thus most people are on a timely schedule. This has happened to me several times and not only does it create anxiety, it also creates anger. Thank you. read more

RUN!!! And run fast and far. This office is a zoo with the people that are cycling threw, the kids running everywhere, parents yelling, and the rude staff not knowing what's going on. It takes forever to get back to get your teeth "cleaned", it's not sanitary in the "rooms", and the "dentist" was worthless. The X-ray pieces for your mouth are set on a desk that isn't cleaned off, the "room" is not blocked off from the commotion of the rest of the office, the cleaning was the absolute worst cleaning that I've ever had which I do a better job at home with my floss and toothbrush, the dentist came in for maybe a minute and left. WORST DENTIST OFFICE I'VE EVER BEEN TO! Took my 2 1/2 yr old son there for his first ever dental appointment. Walked in and it smelled like straight oriental food, lights werent even turned on, and the 4 receptionists were talking about their personal life drama. We finally got called back and the dentist literally took a toothbrush and brushed over my sons teeth once and then said "ok! all done, no cavities" I said " Are you sure??" All the people here were friendly and kind, from the receptionists to the dentist, Dr. Manley. My husband had a serious problem that was plaguing him for months and needed the tooth pulled. He has a serious fear of the dentist. He was a walk in/first time client, and everything went smoothly. The staff took their time with him and were very careful and kept asking him if he was okay. After the tooth was pulled and everything was done, he was given scrips for pain medication and antibiotics to ward off any infection. He has been able to sleep peacefully since the procedure - no more being woke up with a throbbing mouth. Worst dental experience of my life! I went in for an infected tooth that I wanted extracted. They proceeded with not one or two but 3 failed exrays and didn't put the radiation jacket on me. Dentist came in and said everything looked fine and started to numb around my tooth. She started pulling and I had en extremely sharp pain and numbed me up more and the same pain occurred. Tried again and took a big chunk of my tooth out and she gave up and sent me on my way with antibiotics and a strong Tylenol. I've never had such terrible tooth pain in my life. I'm going to the ER and hopefully they can help me. I've had 5 other extractions and I can say that they are incredibly unprofessional! read more

First of all im a person that really takes care of my teeth. My dentist always said j have perfect teeth. Few months later i moved to roscoe il and tried to find a dentist for a cleaning. So i found dental dreams in machesney park. And they told me i have 13 cavities. I couldnt believe it but i had them fill them in. 2weeks later all of my teeth that they filled in started to hurt constantly. So i went back and they told me i need a root canal on all of the teeth that got filled in. And the worst part is they scheduled the root canal a week from now. So gonna be in pain for another week and then spend more money on rootcanals. Honestly i dont think i ever had those cavities. I think they are doing stuff that os not necessary for the money. I would not recommend this place. They will just screw you. read more

Now after a very pleasant experience i will fear no more! :) My dentist was Dr. Gao and she was extremely nice and went at a pace that made me feel comfortable. Time to call the Attorney General and blow the whistle on this money making scam! Almost 6 months working with this company both at the Rockford office and the Machesney Park site. Over 20 appointments and still no dentures that are fit to chew or even talk! They fired the HR corporate person, Morgan, who was advocating for me. Now they have no obligations to return my calls locally or at the corporate level. Called my insurance provider and told her to make sure they did not pay for non-existent and useless dentures. Now it's time to complain to the Attorney General's office. No wonder health care has become so expensive...they just ignore you, provide lousy services, inferior goods, probably still get paid, and leave you hanging in limbo. read more

All I can say is find another dentist! I've already wrote a review and I thought they were trying to make things right! I went back got the xrays I was asked to get so they could resubmit to my insurance company it took 2 weeks to hear back from them( the first time it took 3 days) this time I was approved for the top dentures and teeth pulling I need which I was so happy to finally get this mess cleaned up but then comes the catch instead of the immediate dentures I was originally going for its just regular dentures which is no biggie until I heard after the teeth are pulled there's 4 steps to the denture process each step has a 2 to 4 week waiting period in between so basically I'd be without upper teeth for 4 months I've already lost quite a few and that's been since July IM FED UP! With the job I have I can't be without teeth for 4 months and expect to make a living! I've researched and talked with other denture wearers, a dental asst, and also a former employee of this office and they all agree with me 4 months is ridiculous actually if we get technical by the time all is said and done it would be 7 months since this process started but I'm not letting it go that far I'm going another route and will never recommend this place or step foot in this place again!!!! read more

Dr. Mannely SUCKS at pulling lower molers, he fractured my lower jaw on my left side and broke a ton of bucle bone, not to mention he wouldn't give me Vicodin for 2-3 days tops. That's no more han 12 pills tops. He did great on my upper plate, I will never go back there. !!! It took a month to heal where I was pulling bone and tooth out for a month. read more
