In my long years of going to the dentist, Dental Devotion is BY FAR the best place I have ever gone to. Dr. Movaghari and Dr. Urtega are serious the nicest people you'll ever meet. They run their facility with the utmost class and respect for their patients/customers. Their office staff displays the same kind of affection and courtesy towards the patients as well. They go above and beyond making you feel comfortable, safe and most of all, satisfied with your dental care. They really devote their time and effort to YOU. Their office is top notch with the latest technology, supplies, even all of their exam chairs all have massage capability. I mean, how much better can you get than getting a massage while getting your teeth worked on! Its a brand new office, clean, beautiful and it makes you say "this is definitely the place I'd want my teeth worked on. On top of all of that, they're just awesome dentists! They know the ins and outs of your teeth and do what is in the best interest of you and your teeth so you can get that beautiful smile that's gonna get you invited up for a netflix and chill session. Another thing that is great is that their office is open on Saturday, which allows for those who's job schedule may not be as flexible to come and get their teeth worked on. I highly recommend this office to anyone in the arlington or adjacent areas. They have a parking garage, which makes it way easy to access their office (which can be hard in arlington), right down the street from the metro (if that's your choice of transportation) and near the ballston bus stop. It's such a warm and friendly atmosphere and the dentists and staff have a great sense of humor, so I felt totally comfortable there. (And, I've never laughed as much while at a dentist's office. Dang, what a good dental experience. I abashedly went in for a cleaning/exam after putting off a dentist visit for the few years I've been living in the area, and I left wondering why I'd been dreading anything in the first place. Everything about the process was easy, and everybody I met at the office was friendly and kind. They were also super efficient-- I was in and out in an hour. It was easy to get an initial appointment and the doctor and the hygienist did a good job. They were thorough and talked me though what they were doing and I appreciate that. They seemed to enjoy their work which I think makes a difference. However, I had a cavity they weren't able to fill do it that appointment and I wasn't able to schedule a follow up for a month. My schedule is kind of difficult but it was still unusual. Also, when I asked about the promotion on Yelp for the free whitening kit for new patients the receptionist gave me an appraising look and asked, "Haven't you been in here before?" I in fact had not, it was my first appointment and she personally ran my insurance and intake paperwork. She then told me that it was an old promotion and they aren't doing it anymore in a dismissive way. I don't know why it's still up on Yelp if it is expired but most of all she was rude about it. Overall, I really liked Dr. Mo but thought it was odd it took so long to get a follow-up and the receptionist's response was unpleasant. Update: went for a second time and reception was much friendlier. I had a cavity filled and as much as possible they tried to make it pleasant. I was nervous since the last dentist I saw didn't get me fully numb before he started working but they were very diligent and would frequently check in with me. They also focus on complete oral hygiene which is nice. read more

Customer service is amazing! Receptionist, and the apprentice set the tone for the awesome service I received from the doctor! The ambiance of the office is really nice, and clean. I loved the enforcement of environmental friendly products! The doctor, I have to say is the nicest health care physician I have ever met in my life. The calmness of her voice, and reinforcing statements that I would be okay really subsided my anxiety. She was very attentive to my signals of pain, and always made the effort to ensure that I was comfortable. I will make this my permanent dental home! As a new patient going in for a cleaning, my first impression and experience was stress-free after a stressful commute on the metro. I gave the office a quick call letting them know I had taken the wrong metro line and would be cutting it close to my appointment. They were understanding and made me feel relaxed after I arrived a couple minutes late and were able to see me right away. Today was my first time at dental devotion and it was great. I was on the waitlist for an appointment on March 31 but was called off the waitlist for today which I really appreciated. They were helpful with getting my dental insurance set up as well. My hygienist, Dominique, was very nice and helpful throughout the process of renewing my records, taking dental X-rays, and scaling/polishing my teeth. (The massage chair was on the whole time, which was AMAZING). I felt next to no pain. Then I saw Dr. Urteaga who was very informative and helpful with reviewing my X-rays and what follow up procedure I would need and answered all my questions. It was easy to schedule my procedure and next dental cleaning. Their COVID precautions made me feel safe when having my mask off for dental work. Also, they validate parking for an hour! I definitely recommend this place! The only thing I was wondering about was if they could turn up the intensity on the massage chair, or if that would interfere with the dental work!! This place is amazing, I've been a patient here three years and go 1.5 hours out of my way after I moved to still see Dr. Mo and Dr. Urtega. I've had plenty of terrible experiences with dentists in the past but Dr. Mo and Dr. Urtega go out of their way to explain why any filling needs to be done. If I needed a filling they take a picture to show me, show me the xray, and let me see the tooth in the mirror. It's been such a relief finally having a trusted dentist after getting ripped off with useless fillings several times with past dentists. All fillings I've had with them have been quick and painless. I had a great Dentist in Arlington that I have been going to for many years. Unfortunately due to insurance changes, I had to search for a new dentist and was very fortunate to find Dental Devotion several blocks from my house. The reviews about this practice and Dr. Jair Orteaga were very good so I took a leap of faith. Very modern office in Ballston. The initial cleaning and consultation was both thorough and excellent. I had a follow-up appointment today to take care of two old fillings. Once again, excellent job with upper and lower Novocain shots (painless) and new fillings. My wife's and my dentist recently sent a letter to all of her patients, informing them that she was discontinuing her practice and turning it over to another dentist. We really liked her, but felt that if we were going to be using a new dentist, then we should be the ones who decided who we'd work with. As an active member of the Arlington Chamber of Commerce, whenever possible I like to do biz with Chamber "family" members, so I looked at the member directory to see which dentists were members, and Dental Devotion was on the list. After doing a little more 'due diligence', I decided to give "Dr Mo" a try. From beginning to end, I had a very nice experience with Dr Mo and her staff, Desiree and Kara. Everybody is very nice, welcoming, gentle, and caring. I reported back to my best babe about my good experience, and she made an appointment for herself. She just returned from her appointment (with Dr U) and had the same positive comments about everybody that I had. She said "you should write a nice Yelp review about them", so here it is. I have just come back from a cleaning appointment with Dr. Mo. Well, it's been a long time that I am so eager to write a review about a business that deserves 5 stars. After a comprehensive exam, she decided that it would be better for me to have a deep cleaning so I'll need to schedule for it at a later date and I'll update my review after the procedure. But overall, the office staff was pleasant, everybody said "Good morning" when we entered the office. The rooms were clean, the bathroom was carefully decorated with all the essentials like a spare (individually packed) tooth brush for after treatment comfort, the x-ray equipment was new and looked very well maintained. Unfortunately I cannot remember her assistant's name but he was such a pleasant person and he professionally helped Dr. Mo during the evaluation. Dr. Mo has a genuine smile on her face, elegant, kind and passionate. She takes her profession seriously and wants you to know everything about your mouth's health. She takes the time to explain everything. After we left her office (my husband was with me during the exam), we said "We wish we could go back in time" each other because we had sooooo many problems with our previous dentist offices (Billing, extremely incompetent front desk, rude staff, moody dentist, etc). They quoted me for the deep cleaning procedure. Since I don't use a dental insurance currently, I can tell it is on the high end but cannot compare it to the other offices because I'm not planning to price shop. Sometimes you pay the high price if you really think that you might be in better hands. I am sorry that I haven't found her office before, but hopefully I'll be really glad for a long time. And finally, I was sceptical about all the 5-star reviews. So wanted to chime in for the other sceptics like me :) read more

I am new to the area and was looking for an excellent dentist. My family has been with the same dentist since I was in elementary school and I was nervous about finding anyone that could compare with them. I looked up several different offices and read a ton of reviews. I called a few offices and left messages and Dental Devotion got back to me right away with an appointment just 2 days later. The receptionist was so friendly over the phone and answered all of my questions. Once I got to my appointment they were prompt in seeing me and very welcoming. I could tell they were all sincere and once again answered every question I had. I sometimes get nervous that I will be recommended for unnecessary work but this wasn't the case at all. Doctor Movaghari explained everything in terms that I could understand and even showed me pictures along the way of my teeth she was talking about. I have never had a dentist do the actual cleaning but she did along with the help of her assistant. I was so impressed with their care and service. I would like to hit on three areas; customer service, aesthetics of the location, and the actual work performed. I will begin by saying that I was offered an appointment very promptly upon calling; unlike many offices that schedule you out 2 months in advance for their next availability. I was greeted by an enthusiastic receptionist who was very friendly and outgoing, especially with the kids that were present. Concerning the location, it appeared very clean and welcoming. They were playing some type of home improvement show which I could not resist in watching. The chair that you sit in is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!. its soft and comfortable and it vibrates ever so softly. The work performed was very good, the dentist was actually involved and not just someone who checks in at the end and says "see you in 6 months". At the end he laid out any future work that needed to be performed without any sales pressure. I enjoyed my visit and would highly recommend this establishment to anyone. read more

After many years of neglecting my teeth, I am so happy to have first met Dr. Mo at a previous practice where she preformed my root canal. Although I was nervous about the procedure, I was surprised at how pleasant and painless it was with Dr. M (she even called me personally to check up on how I was doing after the procedure!). I had a very positive experience visiting Dental Devotion. Having recently moved, I required a new dentist. I choose Dental Devotion because they accepted my insurance and they were very close. I was pleased that I did. In the past when I've visited a dentist I've only spent a small amount of time with the actual dentist. The bulk of the time is with a hygienist or an assistant. Most of the time, I've been lucky to get ten minutes of face time with the actual dentist. This was not the case with Dental Devotion. The vast majority of the appointment I was able to spend with the dentist. It allowed time for me to think of issues and questions I wouldn't have been able to think of in a high pressure short meeting with the dentist. He explained things to me clearly and showed me the problems that I had. I would strongly recommend Dental Devotion. They are kind and attentive to their patients. I'm afraid it will be difficult for me to go to another dentist when I leave this area. read more
