Upon landing I immediately tried to find a dentist to help me but being July the first four I contacted were on vacation! Through a recommendation I called Dr. Whitcomb's office and what a blessing that was. His staff is absolutely wonderful and gave me an appointment right away. They were very sympathetic to my dilemma and so kind when I arrived at the office. Dr. Whitcomb was outstanding to say the least and did a fantastic job repairing my tooth. I actually had another situation the next month with another tooth and both Dr. Whitcomb and his staff graciously took care of me right away. I am deeply grateful to all of them and plan to go back to Dr. Whitcomb this summer when I return to Petoskey for some more consultation on further treatments. They are the BEST!!!

You can take off work and drive an hour or two only to find that you must pay out of pocket when the office can easily run this stuff in advance. You may show up and find out you have to pay cash which is a significant advantage to his practice at your expense. He may have quality care but his office doesn't do much to avoid unnecessary out of pocket expenses that are avoidable. They also can't handle being called out for this practice because they know it is reprehensible. All of this is avoidable. I made an appointment for my elderly mother who was in need of dental care. She could not get into local providers so we made an appointment with Dr. Forsmark's office which is quite a distance from her home. I offered to provide the insurance information through UPHP and Delta but the office said they did not need it now. Mom shows up to the appointment and finds out she is not covered at Dr. Forsmark's office and they never tried to run coverage prior to her showing up. I am sure at this point you can understand the frustration. Dr. Forsmark's office was not sympathetic in any way and were in shock that I would call them out for the practice.
