With four visits in the books, I feel it's time to expose Dr Sladics to the community…read more This guy has the most incredible bedside manner (for lack of a different term). He's as knowledgeable and gifted as any dentist or doctor, for that matter, that I've ever experienced. From my initial consultation I learned I have a couple fillings and a tooth in the back that needs extraction. The good doctor examined the X-rays and explained in great detail all my options, their pros/cons and most importantly, his opinion. I may be dumb, but I'm not stupid. We went with his recommendation. He painlessly numbed the area to the point where you could have hit me with a sock full of quarters and I wouldn't have felt a thing. He then took care of the biggest concerns and again explained my dental situation to me. After the insurance kicked in, the cost was shockingly low. The whole was over in a very short time and there were no complications. All I have to compare him to is the questionable dds' in Nevada, Texas, Alaska and Utah. He was far better then any of them. Of you have the opportunity, get in to see this man. His staff are wonderful and efficient. His assistant, Daphne, is witty and talented. Great day for us. Five stars, hands down. 02/24

1 star is far too generous for my experience with Northern Periodontics & Implant Dentistry and Dr…read more Elizabeth Nesmith. I was referred there by my dentist specifically for periodontal treatment after being diagnosed with gum disease. Instead of discussing treatment options or preventive care, I was essentially told that I "just need to brush my teeth," which came across as dismissive, insulting, and completely unprofessional. The implication that my condition was simply due to poor hygiene was both inappropriate and scientifically questionable. What shocked me even more was being told that periodontal treatment is only necessary if you have large gaps in your gums where food gets stuck. That is simply not an accurate representation of periodontal care. Gum disease is progressive, preventative treatment matters, and delaying or refusing proper care can lead to worsening gum deterioration, tooth loss, and expensive restorative work later on. Since the time I was referred there until now, I have had to undergo multiple filling procedures costing me several thousands of dollars out of pocket. Beyond the physical deterioration of my gum health, this has also caused a very real financial burden that could potentially have been reduced with proper preventative periodontal care. I left feeling dismissed, judged, and denied access to treatment I was specifically referred for. There was no meaningful explanation, no preventative approach, and no concern shown for the long-term consequences of untreated periodontal disease. What makes this even worse is the fact that there are virtually no other periodontal specialists in town, which leaves patients with very limited options for proper care. Being dismissed so casually when specialized treatment is already difficult to access is unacceptable. This experience felt less like professional healthcare and more like being brushed off entirely. I would strongly encourage anyone dealing with gum disease to seek a second opinion from a provider who actually takes periodontal health seriously.

This was 5 minutes before we were heading out the door for our long trip to the initial consultation. I have no problem that a doctor chooses not to accept a patient; I have a serious problem when the doctor has the dental records for over two months but waits until two hours before the appointment to decide it isn't a good fit. Getting implants taken care of is a very important, time sensitive issue so other teeth aren't affected. There is no excuse; this behavior was extremely unprofessional. The office manager sounded like a broken record just trying to get my mom off the phone, "The doctor will not see you; we're referring you" - no compassion or understanding at all. After our experience, I don't recommend wasting your time or money.
