This was my second appointment at Dental Care Plus, but my first time being treated by Dr. Genato Tongol. Unfortunately, the experience was concerning. To start the tool he was using on my mouth malfunctioned twice in the middle and he said nothing and tried to repair it, when his assistant Lupe Garcia recommended to move rooms. He said nothing and continued to fix the tool. It took about 2-3 minutes each time. During my filling procedure, he held my mouth open with his hand instead of using a proper bite block. At one point, he discarded the napkin he had been using to keep his gloves clean directly onto my dental bib--it hit my face, and both he and his assistant, Lupe Garcia, left it there. I moved it myself now uncomfortable and agitated myself. When I raised my hand due to improper suctioning, he was irritated and said to his assistant, "Suction here," in a tone as if speaking to a child. At another point, I thought he told me to "close," so I closed my mouth. He abruptly ordered, "No, open," and scoffed. Taken aback, I said, "Huh?" He chuckled to himself, looked at his assistant, and said, "Was talking to my assistant," while rolling his eyes. The interaction was to say at the least aggressive, unprofessional, and dismissive. As a person of color, I left feeling that my concerns were not valued and that I may not have been treated with the same respect as other patients. This is not the quality of care I expect, and I hope the office takes these concerns seriously. read more

I'm here to accompany my girlfriend to get Invisalign. In the end i am having cleaning for myself too. This place is the best Dental around Tracy. The price is reasonable and Dr. Emil is really nice and definitely know what he is doing. Their staff also really helpful. For sure i will come back for my future cleaning. read more

I've been a patient of Dr. Emil Villaroman ever since he opened his clinic in Tracy in 1998. He is very professional and really cares about his patients. You'll be very satisfied w/ his work. He has a very gentle touch plus he makes sure you feel the least amount of pain possible. You will be very comfortable & relaxed on your next appointment with him. There was a point that I had to travel at least an hour just to see him when I moved away for a long 8 years. I'm now a local resident so it is quite convenient again. I get a lot of praises from relatives, friends & even strangers who sometimes ask me & insist on finding out who is my Dentist. Of course I'm always proud to tell everyone that my dentist's name is Dr. Emil Villaroman for over 18 yrs. One time I was at an Orthodontist in San Ramon three years ago for my Invisalign. the Orthodontist couldn't tell which teeth are crowns or not. That's how good Dr. Emil's work is. The best dental office I have been to. Me and my husband travel 3-4 hours to see both doctors for our dental appointments and invisalign. I have never received exceptional service from anybody. The office is super clean, environment is pleasant. Wait is not too bad as long as you know you will receive A+ service. Clinic staff are all professional and courteous. Drs. Villaroman & Villaroman are both honest and will only recommend the best treatment possible. I would highly recommend them to anybody who is looking for exceptional dental care. read more

I started coming here when we moved to the area from the Bay Area. I was not disappointed! My husbands been coming here for 15-20 years! The last time I went, Dr Emil rounded out my very square, straight edged front teeth and did a little padding and patch up to make things even. I'm amazed! It was subtle but a much needed improvement!! It's nice that he knows how to fix my problem teeth and has a twist of semi cosmetic fixes too! Thanks Dr Emil and the whole staff there. My husband and I are very happy with Dental Care plus. Excellent hygienist Sosan, she is awesome! The dental assistants and front desk are very friendly and helpful. I referred my sister and her children and they absolutely love their services. My younger niece she is Down syndrome and Alex the hygienist was very helpful and patiently got her teeth clean! I was recently relocated for a job promotion to Roseville California, 93 miles away from his office. I absolutely love this dental office. Staff is very nice. Dr Emil is great at what he does and it's evident that he really cares for his patients. I live in San Jose and make the drive to Tracy because I feel very safe in their hands. I've been with them for over 4 years and I've never once regretted making the commute. The assistants are very nice and conscientious of your dental health and physical comfort. They were not in a big hurry to get me out, but they were very careful and thorough in my teeth cleaning. The dentist was very thorough in explaining why I had gotten my cavities and what I need to do in the future. The front office is very friendly. The only reason I could not give 5 stars is because some of the assistants did not seem very confident with the the x-ray procedure and there was some miss-communications with the front office. read more

This place is a joke! The receptionists takes personal calls while the customer /patient is checking in. The help forgot to do the history back ground check before starting. A simple cleaning takes over an hour. And they don't even open the office on time if I am the first appointment I shouldn't need to wait an hour. read more

I have never been so disappointed in a dental office as I was with this one. First I made an appointment with Dr. Villaroman JR. I came in for my appointment and was seen by his assistant apparently he was on vacation and they never told me. Then it took 2 dental assistants to do my x-rays because they could not figure out the x-ray machine. I mentioned I had dental anxiety as a lot of people do when it come to dental work being done. On my next appointment I was going to get a filling done with Dr. Villaroman. I came in and it was the assistant again, the receptionist told me they never received a medical clearance from my doctor and couldn't see me. I was never told before that I needed a medical clearance before dental work. So now I'm really upset at this point because not only is the back office incompetent the front office is not doing their job either. So I call my doctor to get a medical clearance faxed over. Then the dentist tells the receptionist to reschedule me with Dr. Villaroman. I reschedule and go home. A week later they call my home to inquire about the medical release and tell me it has not been received. I call my doctors office and their records indicate its been sent over twice. Needless to say I canceled my future appointment with Dr.Villaroman I have never nor will I ever deal with a incompetent office like this again. read more

julie b......sorry to hear about your experience, but i differ from what you have gone through....i am not related to both husband and wife (who are terrific dentists ) that you might be thinking why i am biased.....dr. emil and dr. liezl will go out their way to render a wonderful dental service - there are many occasions, both of them will open their office even after hours to accomodate me in an emergency....you really have to meet and know them....for those who are patients of dental care plus, i ask you to give your reviews....everybody are entitlted to their opinions but 1 bad review will not give justice to their excellent dental service they are rendering..... read more
