And still loves going to the dentist. Never had a cavity neither. Since bringing my son here and loving the place the Dentist's son has aged along with mine and they play sports out of the same place. I can add that this man truly cares about kids. He's one of the few dads you'll see bringing his kid for some extra practice or to have fun. It's that same kind of caring and compassion you will see when you go here. His people skills as well as dental are unsurpassed. As can be expected. All his dental hygienist are stellar as well. If I ever move I'll more than likely be driving my kid to Springfield every 6 months. It would be that hard to go somewhere else after experiencing this.

Dentists are trained to clean around ortho. They should want the best care for their patients and they won't do the job if they have to work a little harder. My son saw them regularly twice per year and they didn't do X-rays for 18+ months. Had they done the X-rays yearly like most places, we wouldn't be in this position. POOR POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! I offered to call in tomorrow to set up a new payment plan with the office and was denied by their office manager. As I left the office with my daughter, the office manager emerged from the back room as we were leaving to announce to the entire waiting room that my card on file kept getting denied. I told her I had switched banks and that I had not authorized them to continue to run my card. She told me I was wrong. I told her I could call back after I get paid again and SHE FOLLOWS ME AND MY FAMILY INTO THE PARKING LOT (as other people were arriving for their appointments) and yells across the parking lot "You'll be hearing from our lawyers!" As a local business owner, the experience was unprofessional to say the least. At most, it was an attempt to shame my family and I in front of other people. I pray that Dr. Ward speaks with his office manager and perhaps is able to offer any professional development resources to this woman. I am confused by her behavior and contempt for me not being able to pay the amount she demanded. Her behavior was atrocious and hateful and uncalled for. He arrived at that time, only to be told he should have been there at 9:00 AM to complete paperwork--and that there was no longer enough time for his appointment. He rescheduled for Monday. Shortly after, the office called to change the rescheduled time, which was fine. But then they called again to say he had "rescheduled/canceled too many times" and that the dentist was refusing to see him at all. Just be aware--this is the kind of policy and attitude you're dealing with. If anything goes wrong with your timing, even on a first visit, you may find yourself dropped altogether. We've brought our children here multiple times in the past, but after this experience, we won't be returning. I've never encountered such inflexibility in a practice that serves the public. It just doesn't make sense. Thankfully, there are plenty of other dentists out there.
