I had a dent the size of a head, on the lower part of my driver side door. There is a horizontal body line in the middle of the dent, and also, the bottom of the dent was at the bottom of the door, where the metal is doubled over, so that the dent didn't push in that part of the door panel, creating a crease. My husband had brought the car to 3 body shops. 2 said they can't do the job without replacing the door panel and gave us referrals to dent removal services. One told us that they will do the job the best they can, but replacing the panel is the best way to go, which cost over $2000. Once I had some time (several weeks later) I contacted the dent removal referrals (emailed photos for starters), as well as the one body shop that saw my car in person. The body shop started changing their story and basically told me that they will only be able to make the car look 50% better and I would have to sign a waiver and they will be using a dent removal subcontractor. One referral told me he can't do the job and referred me to someone else. Long story short, none of the dent referral services other than Keith actually looked at my car before giving me a good quote. Keith's price was in the middle of the pricings and the fact that he actually saw the extent/difficulty of the damage made me feel much better. Being that some people didn't even want to do the job, I wasn't sure how anyone could accurately quote me a price without looking at the car.
When I met Keith for the quote, first of all, he was very nice and professional. Even as a woman, I felt very comfortable that he wasn't trying to take advantage of me, or anything like that. He explained the process to me in detail. He has a pricing system based on the size and difficulty of the job. When I asked him how well he thinks the dent would come out, he said 97%! He pointed out to me exactly what might not come out perfectly. He also told me to go on his website and look at a particular video of the repairs he had done, so that I can see what kind of a result I can expect.
Keith came out to our house exactly on time and my husband was very pleased with his attention to detail (wheel chocks to prevent car from moving in addition to parking brakes, etc.) as well as how pleasant and professional Keith is (I was out of town). Keith spent a lot of time making sure that the dent could be removed the best it can be (I think he was at the house a little over 3 hours). My husband poked his head into the garage to check the progress throughout the process, and at a certain point, he told me that he wasn't sure how Keith was going to get it to look anywhere close to 97% better and Keith himself told my husband how difficult the job was. Keith still didn't give up and kept working on it. Although he had told us to expect a 97% result, once he was done, my husband couldn't believe how good it looked. If you didn't know that there was a dent there and if you didn't look very closely (because I have a small chip in the clear coat that happened when the dent happened), you would never know that there was this huge dent there! I really can't be more pleased.
It upsets me to be so thrilled that I found someone that takes pride in their job and does it well because that's what you're paying for, but so frequently, you get subpar service for way more money than it's worth.
Keith charges a very fair price (especially considering how good he is!) and he is obviously very knowledgeable and skilled at what he does. It's not like he has some equipment that pulls out the dent and makes the dent disappear. It's really all about his technique and patients. I'm going to recommend him to anyone that's looking for a dent removal service!!! read more
