Quite possibly the worst experience I've ever had at a restaurant in town ever! There was only 3 tables worth of people when we came in so there was no reason for it to take 45 minutes for our waitress to bring out 2 salads and silverware to the table. Then when the food did start to arrive my husbands order was completely wrong and he was so hungry he just ate it anyway. But then she never brought my sons food and when we told her she went back to the kitchen to find out and when she came back she said that another waitress must have taken it and they'd make him a new one. At this point we'd been there for 1 1/2 hours and everyone else was done eating. We were trying to get to a show and we asked them if they would hurry and if they would be comping his food and she said that the manager told her no way would they be doing that. So not only did a child have to sit and wait for over an hour for his dinner they did nothing to make it better. But then the real kicker was when we went to the register to pay and we had our checks split up they didn't even split them correctly. Both parties ended up paying for my grandmothers meal. So not only did they not comp my son's meal that he ended up EATING IN THE CAR. We paid double for another meal in our party. The manager Richard was a complete jerk and has zero business being in any form of customer service. This was the last time we will ever be in this restaurant. read more

Arrived in Vernal late on a Sunday, giving few options of places to eat. The building is new, but the wait staff appear tired. Our waitress was unfamiliar with the menu, unable to list all the dressings that are offered and didn't offer to find out. Didn't know whether they have sourdough bread (they don't) and screamed "white is fine" into the kitchen when I told her I was white bread for a sandwich. When she brought out our order, more than half the fries in my plate flew off and landed on the table. All she said was, "Oops! That wasn't supposed to happen." She didn't offer to bring more fries nor did she clean up the mess she had made. The salad my mom ordered didn't taste fresh. While I don't expect a superior dining experience at a Denny's, I expected better than what we had. read more

I have been to a number of Denny's restaurants across the country, that have been subpar and not effective. I've had some really bad experiences in Denny's restaurants, however the one located in Vernal Utah is an exception. Great service, great food quality overall, clean restaurant, and overall a great experience. I was a little concerned though about the mozzarella sticks which were open instead of filled with cheese, but that might just be a supplier. The regular food was very delicious and I will definitely recommend and come back to this location. read more

We got the Cobb salad with the grilled chicken and it was delicious. We also got the fruit salad which was exceptionally good for a simple combination of strawberries, bananas, and grapes. At least as good as I would make it home. We had DoorDash delivery and the service was very quick. The food was very freshly made. read more

Awful evening. I have a severe, potentially deadly allergy to peppers, paprika, the like. The server was made aware and assured us that my food would be cooked entirely separate. When the food came out, the hashbrowns were burnt and the bacon was most likely from earlier and reheated. Gross. When I actually ate my hashbrowns I realized they were spicy immediately. I stopped eating them and tried to finish my pancakes. I ended up covered in hives and had to go to the emergency room for epinephrine, all because of someone's incompetence. Basic human decency, basic chef/server SKILL is to listen to the customer and take what they say seriously. Y'all are real lucky nothing worse came about this experience. The only reason I selected one star is because that's the minimum, which clearly this denny's can't even provide. read more

Where to even start, Not a SINGLE staff member was wearing a mask properly. The service was poor and half fast. The door says masks are required yet every customer who entered didn't have a mask on and was still given service, completely unprofessional in a pandemic. Our orders kept getting placed wrong. It took twice for my son's order to be corrected and three times for my daughter's order to be corrected. Traveling through Vernal and stopped at Denny's. I am an older man who recently lost my glasses, which can be embarrassing trying to read a menu. The young lady who waited on Sierra was her name was so kind and patient with me...she told me to take my time, was never anything but pleasant and helpful. Worst Dennys ever! They were out of everything! They seriously need new management or something. And this is not the first time something like this happened. Denny's is a family favorite here! I love the fact they are open 24/7, cause you never know when you might want some pancakes. . The food is always good when me and my husband visit! I have only had one time the chicken sandwich I ordered was messed up, but the server made sure it got fixed and I didn't get charged for it because they messed up. I found that to be awesome that they do that. I love the "Lumberjack Slam". It is a perfect variety of breakfast meats, along with hash browns, eggs, and PANCAKES! The chocolate shake is SUPER good too! They are fair in price for the food quality. I enjoy going because the servers are always super attentive and they make sure you are taken care of. Denny's is pretty much the same no matter where you go. Same food, same price. It's predictable, and that's good when you have picky little eaters. The only reason this particular location gets 2 stars is because it was pretty dirty when we were there, and the staff was very disorganized. We were seated right away, and the hostess was friendly. That was pretty much the good portion of our visit. Kids eat free at this location on Tuesday and Saturday, from 4pm to 12am. Hence our visit. And just as I suspected the place was packed with families, and lots of little kids. I knew service would be slowed because of all the kids, and it was. Which was fine because we expected it. What we didn't expect was our waitress had no idea we were her table. After being seated no one came for our drink or food order. After about 15 minutes a waitress said she'd find out whose table we were. She returned a few minutes later to let us know we were actually her table. Not surprising since she had every table around us. We quickly ordered drinks and food before she could run off. The drinks came out quick, and so did the food. Unfortunately that wasn't a good thing. Our kids complained to us that the sausage was "nasty". But they were hungry from being out all day, and they ate it anyways. My husband also tried it. He said it tasted almost like boiled meat. And he refused to eat any more. We paid our bill, and left. Side note: kids drinks are not included in the free meal. But they're only like .99 so no big deal. Fast forward a few hours, and my husband and two kids that ate the sausage are extremely sick, and throwing up. Pretty sure they got food poisoning, and that it'll be a loooonnnnnggggg time before we go back to Denny's. The reason they do get 2 stars is because the seasoned fries. They were really good. We are not demanding and are very low key people but this was the MOST unpleasant experience on Monday 8/6/2018 at the Denny's Restaurant in Vernal UT We arrived around 7:30 pm for dinner. Drink order was a Coke and an ice tea. We were informed they were out of ice tea. ???? Weird to be out of iced tea so it was 1 water instead." We ordered 1 Cesar salad and 2 Chicken Fried steak dinners. The drinks were brought to our table table and eventually the Cesar the salad was presented. The server dropped by several time and asked how we were doing. Reply was "fine, waiting". After about the 4th or 5th drop by I asked "When are going to get out food"? We were coming up on a hour at being there. The serves sort of winced and said "I think yours is coming up next". She went back to the pickup window into the kitchen and we hear "I don't have any white gravy". Server returns to us and asks if we would would like brown gravy. I said no, I want white gravy on my mashed potatoes and chicken fried steak. She returned to the pickup window and we hear a shrill voice from the kitchen "I don't have white gravy, they will just have to wait". At no time should a customer be able to hear a comment like that coming from the kitchen. At the point we got up from out table and walked up to the cashier and asked to speak to the manager. Up walks a young lady who was the one back in the kitchen yelling that we would just have to wait. Obvious to me the manager does not know how to manage. I can't imagine a Denny's that has no ice tea and white gravy. We will not be back as long as she is the "so called" manager. read more

Our kids and I came to Denny's and the waiter not only said that kids eat free today but that their drinks were included (even after I mentioned the menu said $.99 for the drinks). We waited an hour for our food (there were less than 4 tables with other people waiting). Half of the food was cold, or wrong and a burned English muffin. When we received our check the kid's food was not deducted. After asking the waiter about it, it took quite some time for them to remove the kid's meals but left the $.99 kid's drinks. I haven't EVER not left a tip before. We were there for an hour and a half. ridiculous. read more

Best breakfast in town and I say that knowing it's just Denny's. I will say that this is the most consistent and good breakfast I've had and I come here quite often; partly because my girl friends a cook here and partly because I am literally addicted to the reeses pancakes. The service is fast, the food is good, and they are welcoming. I go out to dinner with a cute 4 yr old boy there almost once a week. He can be a handful at times but they are always so accommodating when I ask for a booth so that he doesn't become over stimulated by all the people. Also if I don't like a certain booth because of say the air conditioner they don't have any problems making us happy by sitting us somewhere else. My son always orders spaghetti and gold fish off of the kids menu and I usually try to order something from the breakfast menu. The food is always good but even if it wasn't I wouldn't complain they are always helpful in making our mom son date night a success before or after our trip to Lowe's to check out garage doors. Your selection of employees have gotten good our favorite is a waiter on the evening/night shift (I cannot remember his name all a sudden but he always tells me that my son is his favorite, he even bought our dinner for us one time.) My son will tell him all about the garage doors and how they work and it never gets old to him. He enjoys telling him all about them. Thank you. read more

Probably the worst service I've ever had. When we arrived, all the booths were dirty and employees were standing around doing nothing. There were also dirty dishes on nearly every table and we had to wait for them to clear a booth out for us. They also did not leave any silverware on the table so when we got our food, we had nothing to eat it with. We ended up asking for silverware and syrup multiple times and finally we just grabbed the silverware off of another table. As for the syrup, we had to call the waiter over, and ask for it yet again. Throughout our dinner, we had to tolerate an annoying waiter and extremely loud noises coming from kitchen. The food was also mediocre at best. My husband and I just came from eating dinner at this Denny's. The food was fine, typical Denny's fare. However, our server left a lot to be desired. If you are put at one of Jordan's tables or booths, get up and go to a self-serve like Panera or Kneaders. You will end up saving yourself time and aggravation. I ordered soup. Just soup. My husband ordered eggs and pancakes. About ten minutes later, I received my soup, but no crackers. After waiting another ten minutes, my husband got up and asked another waitress for crackers, which she brought. Five or so minutes later Jordan brought my husband's meal and my crackers. When my husband questioned why the soup was brought out so far ahead of his meal, Jordan actually argued with him. So I didn't bother asking who would want their crackers fifteen minutes after their soup. We were never asked if everything was OK. Another waitress refilled our waters. After eating, we asked for the check. He brought it right away, but never said "Thank you", "Have a nice night." Nothing. And he never removed the dirty dishes. This was on a night when only four tables were filled, including us. read more
