Returned to this Denny's after 4 years, now I remember why I never came back. Service was terrible just like the last time I came. The lady who served was slow and very forgetful of what she was doing. The wings we ordered were dry and overcooked. No salt on the fries. We were also not provided with creamers until the 3rd time we requested them. My my...today my mom and I had a horrible experience at Denny's #7634 in Tomball. We were not satisfied with the waiter nor the food. Two tables around us received their food 10 minutes before our food was served and we were seated first. Our food was finally brought and the size of the bacon was horrible not a regular size bacon for sure. They pulled it apart to make 2 slices. Mentioned to the server and man who brought our food was this a norm of the size but looking around evidently not the size just poor service and preparation of food. Not eating here anymore. This is a Dennys, not a fine dining establishment. This location is cleaner than most Dennys I have been too, including the ones in the surrounding area. Recently renovated, but just a fresh coat of paint as previously stated. Ive noticed this particular location, your whole experience really depends on the server. Food is always the same, the price does not change, its all in the service. And I have had HORRIBLE service and EXCELLENT service, so it really depends. But it really is cheap, for the price and convenience I am not going to complain too much, I still go there when I am in town occasionally. I have been trying this location over several years. It does not matter what server takes my order or what cook is cooking in the kitchen, the eggs are never cooked right, the bacon is always floppy and the hash browns are always mushy potatoes. I always order everything crispy, over medium and extra crispy bacon and eggs. In over 10 years of giving this place a chance time and Time and Time and Time and Time Again, I will never attend this location for any reason. Not a single cook in over 10 years knows how to cook an egg to order or make hash browns not mush. I do believe they are called hash browns because they are brown from the cooking and not supposed to be mushy potatoes. Everywhere else, including All other Denny's locations, can do this. I am not exaggerating and dead serious when I calmly explain that this location has never once served me anything but mashed potatoes in a string format. And now they are trying to buy my review. Very classy, lol. That is probably why you don't see many many more reviews explaining how bad the food is. John is by the worst server I have ever gotten. Guy I don't care how many calories I have on my plate I'm at DENNYS. Told me his girlfriend is visiting him at work. Terrible service. Walked in and was told the wait would be 10-15 minutes, ended up waiting 35. People were being seated in front of us. Once we finally got seated the waitress took food and drink orders at the same time. We didn't get our drinks until right before the food came out and the soda tasted terrible. Really unexpected low review ! My husband and i love to come to this Dennis... sadly seems like they're getting new people and cooks that makes this place shitty. Wile waiting for our food there was this older bold guy around his 50's who was continuously staring at us like if we were going to steal something. The cook was very fast on the food to the point that my husbands food was not well cooked !! We showed the waitresses how bloody the steak was, she gladly took it back to the kitchen and was brought out again but burned (Bummer) The mashed potatoes that came with were tasteless !! Staff are absolutely incredible and service is amazing. If this review were just based on them, they'd be getting more than 5 stars. My only problem is that some toast we ordered came out a little burnt and the decor is a little dirty (there was dust on the tables and on the condiments). If the cooks would just not burn and overcook the food or the servers would just take the time to quality check the food, I would come here more often. read more

The pancakes were good. The grits were cold and mostly went uneaten. The service was ok, not great. I waited over 15 minutes for her to come to our table so I could get more coffee. This place is horrible. We have gone several times and each time something was screwed up in one way or another. The last time we dined in the waitress ignored us, forgot our orders, never checked up on is or refilled drinks and charged us for things we didn't receive. This time we ordered to pick up. I ordered a grand slam and they forgot the pancakes completely. We had to drive back (25 miles round trip) to pick up our cold pancakes. They didn't recook them and when confronted the manager couldn't care less and told us "you should've checked your order before you left." Didn't try to make amends or keep us as customers in anyway. I got the Grand Slam Slugger. Very good, pancakes cooked perfectly. Eggs (scrambled) were delicious! By far the best bacon I have had in a while. Our waiter, Shelley, was very nice and made our experience at Denny's even better! She was very quick on her feet and remembered all of our needs. UNSANITARY, DISGUSTING. Please think twice before stopping at the Dennys in Tomball at 249 and 2920! This location is FILTHY, cross-contamination from dirty rags on floor to table, bad service, sticky seats and menus, and POOR MANAGEMENT. I watched as a waitress picked up a dirty dishrag off the dirty floor and wiped a food service area with it, as well as wiped down several tables with the dirty rag before seating unknowing customers at to serve them food. Service is extremely slow, food was served lukewarm and the final product was less than mediocre. Save yourself and your family some money, piece of mind, and a possible visit to the ER. If I could give zero stars I would. My family went to eat there on Sunday 2/19/17 & yes it was busy when we arrived. Our waitress Mason was a FAIL from the start. She told us 2 different stories about what kids cups they had & then brought us something completely different. She brought half the food & the other half over 15 minutes later. She did not bring, or offer to bring, syrup or butter for the orders with pancakes & we had to ask 3 or 4 times to get some. Even with the restaurant being as busy as it was the entire wait staff was standing around the serving area talking instead of checking on their customers. My family eats at this Denny's on occassion. We tend to go on Tuesdays or Saturdays when kids eat free. This place has improved it's appearance greatly. It once smelled like mold and stale cigarette smoke. The service was appalling at one time, but they seemed to have found a better staff. I came from NJ about a month ago and I was bragging to my brother about how great the southern hospitality is here. It was his first time in Texas and I was happy to show him that the southern hospitality does exist. Unfortunately, we had a really bad experience. We sat at a both for over 10 minutes before we were even acknowledged. We ended up just getting up and leaving. BI'm back in Texas and decided to give this place another shot. Christy completely restored my faith in the place. She was very attentive, and very polite. My cup of coffee was never empty. I'm not a pickie eater but I like things done a certain way. Ordering eggs has always been a little challenge. Either they're too runny or too hard. Christy, made a suggestion to try something new, and I LOVE IT!! I am a new lover of poached eggs.
