I appreciate, well prepare food and friendly services....come-by and enjoy for your self.. can't go wrong

The seating area itself didn't look too full but service was still very sluggish. Waited 15 minutes with 3 other groups in the area. 2 other groups that were waiting walked out. There was several guests waiting to pay their bill too, and I watched at least on guy leave without paying. One of the cooks it seemed, (he was wearing an apron) finally came up to take payments...And was handling money. He went back to the kitchen and nobody was taken to a table. At this point a few more parties showed up and one of the women leaving said "it's gonna be a long wait" as to which I left and went to another restaurant for lunch instead. This place has been good to me on previous experiences but I guess there has just been a downturn in staffing lately? read more

This has to be the worst Denny's that I have been to so far. Empty tables and booths, cook has orders lined up ready to deliver to tables. But I have never seen a wait staff that seemed to care less than this one. They were in no hurry to to anything. People were lined up out the door and they don't even acknowledge your existence. While we were waiting at least 20 people left. All the same comments, about not acknowledging your existence. I can appreciate being understaffed. But a greeting and an acknowledgement go a long way. Just flat out ignoring folks not so much. read more

Yes, we were just wanting a quick bite of food and the delicious coffee Denny's is noted for. The place had six tables on a Saturday evening. Everyone was waiting for food. We waited to be seated because of the sign that states to wait for hostess to seat you. We waited and waited for at least five my. Finally, someone said "without a smile" and as if we were not his. TOP priority will be right with you. His body language stated a different story. Another couple and our group left Immediately. read more

Ok. I had a tough time with this one. The evening started with us waiting almost 20 minutes to be seated, despite there being no one in front of us and plenty of empty tables. We finally got seated and waited for the server to come and take our order. 15-20 minutes later she comes over. Very sweet and very knowledgeable about the food. She put our order in and we patiently waited. My dinner was a medium well done steak, my husband had the "steak bowl" so a wait was expected..... but a half hour? Ok. So the food FINALLY comes. HANDS DOWN- BEST DINNER IN AGES. Did you get that? This dinner was AMAZING!!!! The steak was tender, juicy, and cooked to perfection. Although I had requested some A1, it did not need a single bit of seasoning. My corn was beyond delicious. Crisp, sweet and buttery. The red skinned mashed potatoes were by far the best I have ever had at a restaurant. My husband's meal was just as yummy. The meat was perfectly cooked, the vegetables were fresh and tasty. Neither one of us needed a to-go box (they were lucky we left the plates lol). I am not exaggerating - this meal put Outback Steakhouse to shame. I was beyond impressed. Ok. Then we waited for the check. Needless to say, we would have been wise to request it after the meal ticket had been taken to the kitchen. After 30 minutes, yes, I said 30 minutes, we finally went up front to ask for assistance. Now - I do need to mention, in the entire restaurant of about 20 seated tables, our server was one of two in the entire place. We knew this not just because we have eyes, but because she very loudly announced it to the table next to ours (uhhhhh Covid precautions much?) and was visibly annoyed that anyone could possibly be upset about waiting so long to leave (the people in the table next to ours were also waiting to check out but not as patiently I'm afraid). She was quick to inform (all of us) him that it was only she and one other person and that they were super busy taking orders, bussing tables, seating people, bringing out food, cashing people out, etc etc - you get the picture I'm sure. Then .... without a goodbye, good luck or definitely a check, she unceremoniously left. To go home. So, after she abandoned us and we realized that we were supposed to fend for ourselves, we went up to the front counter and explained to the poor girl who was going to take her place (who knows?) that we needed our check and that we wanted some apple crisp to go (well - you would be hungry too after all this time). She was able to get it to us rather quickly and then another person (non server, manager maybe?) came to the front and cashed us out. My husband asked her if the desserts could be on the house and she replied that "yes, of course" and our desserts were comped. When it came time to put down the tip, however, we gave it instead to the other server, a young woman named Darcy who was busting her behind - but was still managing to be pleasant and kind to her customers despite the chaos. It was impressive really. Now WAIT- before you roast me - YES, I have been a server, AND yes I've been a single mom, AND yes I've also been in "the weeds" at a busy dinner rush with little to no help. However, I have never abandoned my customers with such complete disregard or disrespect. As far as I'm concerned, the tip (and we as customers) just didn't matter to her. read more

As my day started 4 and a half hours from here at 5am I embarked to finish a contractor job that should have been done Thursday but lagging behind because a man (let's call this Phil) didn't fit the job description of being able to walk talk and chew gum at the same time. So after 11 grueling hours of hours we ventured to travel back to Nebraska with a stop in Colorado for the evening. Around 8pm we became famished and searched on the interwebs for a place that had coffee. When I say that Lisa made all our dreams come true...it makes me to believe that god put this place smack dab in the face of my life! Where the food was genuinely subpar but but yet just right....I tell you my cup never ran dry unlike my toast which was so crunchy I thought of ordering a salad to add to my croutons. But behold LISA smoothed it over with a helping of butter to soften my heart. Y'all need to come to Lisa's Denny's if customer service is at the forefront of your priorities. read more

When we arrived, they were very busy and obviously short of employees. Our waitress was excellent. Selena was friendly and our food came out very quickly. The food was hot and delicious. Two grandslams for $22.00. The restaurant and restrooms were also very clean. Great experience. read more

This was a great location to meet as it's located easy on and off of I25. I was here to make a business transaction and again found this location via Yelp App. It was a Sunday morning about 11:30 when we arrived. The service was friendly I will say that. However, the rest of the place left A LOT to be desired. The bathrooms were really poorly kept. The floors in the dining room were in desperate need to cleaning. Luckily I wasn't there for the food. I am not sure I would have ordered. We had a beverage and waited. Its a good location if you need a meeting place for any reason. Plenty of parking for larger vehicles. read more

This is the worst restaurant we have ever been to anywhere. It was 3 pm and it took over 10 minutes to get seated and after waiting another 15 minutes for someone to take our order so we got up and left. It was not breakfast or lunch time. Two employees were just standing around talking , another waitress cleaning tables and looked over at us 3 times. If this is the type of service offered in New Mexico we will never return. Restaurants in Texas have bad service sometimes but never this bad. read more

This used to be a regular stop for me on my monthly road trips up and down I-25. Since those trips occur maybe once every 5-8 years the stops have become much less frequent. I remember this establishment being ok. It wasn't until i walked in that the memories came flooding back. Rude servers, slow service, lukewarm food. But people change, right? And the parking lot was packed! Always a good sign! This visit will probably be my last. Grumpy server. Incorrect orders being delivered. I don't want to say dirty but messy? Cluttered? I get it. They were extremely busy but i do not appreciate the eyeroll we received when we pointed out that we ordered a Mello Yello but received a Coke. And we ordered water with lemon and received water sans lemon. Or the last minute inquiry for a side of green chile. And the servers that decided to plant themselves beside our booth so they could argue who was supposed to clean the tables gave us a good show. The food was ok. read more

Denny's - Water sans lemon The Mello Yello we ordered looks like Coke. Oh wait! That is Coke! - American Near Me - Raton, New Mexico

When we arrived we heard waitress apologizing for the wait so we asked. Chris said no time at all. We waited and waited. When the food finally came only half came. I had to go back to the kitchen to get silverware and the rest of my food. Then the waiter started giving me a hard time. I asked for the manager. She was great. However we also found hair in the milk shake. Slow and entitled wait staff (Chris) read more

I am on a road trip and we stopped in to grab a bite to eat. Well let's just say my eggs where not cooked the egg whites were still runny and so the took it back and brought me new one. They were still not cooked by this point I couldn't eat anything. Two of my friends found hair in their food. Then the staff was mad because they had to remake my food and we could hear them talking bad about have to remake it. I don't recommend that place it was a horrible experience. read more

Granted it was a busy Sunday morning...still , 10 minutes after taking a seat at the bar and half a dozen servers passing by...not one made eye contact, not one said hello, not one said we'll be right with you... then after seeing some of the prepared food look terrible , we left. This Denny's is a hard pass . read more

The food was good, however our waitress seemed very annoyed and even scolded another employee near our table.

If I could give no stars I would. Their kitchen doubled our order then they tried to make us pay for it. Also we waited over an hour for our shitty food. And they can't count because we had a party of 11 and sat us at a table for 8 people, real cozy y'all. Just turn around. read more

DO NOT STOP HERE!!! The staff is RUDE to customers and to each other. Half the restaurant was empty but still had customers waiting. Someone commented about how many open booths there were and the "hostess" yelled, "We're busy!" High chairs were NASTY and bathroom was unkept. Stop here only if you want to get irritated. read more

We arrived late into town, and this was one place open. The service was incredibly friendly, and the food was every bit as good as Denny's always is. I liked the restaurant "style" with the classic black and white photos of Raton from many years ago. This Denny's has a Coca-Cola Freestyle machine which allows you to get many more flavors than just regular Coke, Sprite, Dr. Pepper, etc. You can get Cherry, Lime, Strawberry, Vanilla, and many more fun flavors of whatever concoction you want. I mentioned how friendly the staff was. As we are contemplating buying a house in Raton, this was important. The pleasant people took the time to answer all of our questions about what to do in the town (hiking and swimming), crime, etc. They sold us! A nice, solid, clean, friendly place. read more

We stopped here yesterday morning on our way back home (6/5/2021). It didn't look busy when we parked, but there appeared to be a line. Looking inside the restaurant, there were maybe seven tables seated with over half the tables empty. Due to the states opening back up, this didn't make sense, but we put our names on the list. It took over 45 minutes to be seated at one of the tables that had remained empty the entire time, which was right next to another full table. We ordered coffee as we sat down, which wasn't delivered for another 15 minutes. We were ready to order, but the waitress didn't even ask and walked away. After another 15 minutes of waiting for the waitress to come back, we gave up, dropped a bill to pay for the coffee and informed those still waiting that it wasn't worth even the wait to be seated. There wasn't an excuse to be had for any of the waiting, this is simply very poor management. read more

Went there this morning and stood there for 10 min and was completely ignored. Could not get anybody to even look at me. There were other people standing and getting the same treatment There were plenty of tables and they were not that busy. I even asked a young man why we were being ignored but received no answer. I left!! have never been treated like that before and I have been here several times. I don't know if I will be back ever again read more

Busy night for Denny's in Raton but we had awesome service and the food was good. Our server, Lisa, was helpful and super friendly!

Wait staff was pleasant but kitchen was horrible. Waited 40 minutes while the kitchen 'manager' ate food and walked around looking confused. Bathrooms were filthy also. When we finally got the food it was fine, but they have a serious management issue in the back of the house. read more

My double berry pancakes were raw and when I went to look for my waitress she was gone long enough for my husband to finish his whole plate so I went to the front and asked for some fresh pancakes to go nicely. They just kept saying she "says" there are raw. but then turns around and says it'll be out in a few minutes and the lady up front hosting was sitting down most of the time eating or talking to customers. When out waitress came to our table to drop food off never asked for refills but talked to the table behind us the whole time. Horrible SERVICE. read more

Great service from Javon. Breakfast was very good

I gave it 2 stars because the food was absolutely amazing but the service was absolutely awful. Host was rude when sitting us, waitress was rude and rushed our service. When we asked the waitress for things she rolled her eyes and repeated what we wanted as if we were asking for too much. Did not give us refills and when I asked for one she sighed. The staff in the kitchen and ones preparing plates/drinks to be brought to us weren't wearing masks and the few that were had them pulled down to their chin. The manager I assume (a gentleman with blonde/light brown hair) and one of the waitresses were cracking inappropriate jokes while we were checking out. It was my boyfriends first time in raton and let's just say he isn't impressed. read more

no no no and more no. You're much better off going to the Arby's right by this Denny's. The cashier. Rood. Waitress. Rood. The food. NOT EVEN THAT GOOD! I went to the bathroom and one of the chefs came in as well he left the bathroom with no hands washed. I wish I could give zero stars. read more

Yuck! Burnt pancakes. Burned beyond belief chicken sandwich. Sent that back. Took forever to get our order taken and food to the table. It sat at the pass as the cook rang the bell over and over. So so so glad there is a normal food establishment in the area. No good place for breakfast in Trinidad but Raton has a couple of goods spots including Denny's. Only downside here is sometimes the wait times to get a table can be excessive. Work in progress I suppose. Talk to the waitstaff, they are fun people. You almost forget your in the middle of nowhere until you leave. You cant beat good breakfast served all day. Enjoy, there aren't too many good places in this region. read more

It was a lovely breakfast with lovely company, our server Lavonne was wonderful and very accommodating.

Driving to Denver, wanted to stop for a bite at 6 am..... went in, lady asked how many, then tried sitting us at the front door right next to the only other people there. We asked very nicely if we could have the booth 2 away from the others and more inside the dining room. She acted like we asked to have the place remodeled. She asked what we wanted to drink, while disgistingly coughing into her hand without even having the courtesy to turn away, we asked for water and juice for my daughter- as she was walking away we decided to follow her and leave due to the disgusting coughing and her bad attitude- as we were following we heard her say- "fucking people act like they own the place" ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!!!!!!!!!
