Probably the cleanest Denny's I've ever been to. Food was standard, greasy Denny's. The coffee was some of the best I had on the entire trip (that's stopping every few hundred miles for another cup from Dallas, TX, to Black Hills, SD). Service was friendly and quick. read more

This is a Denny's after all, but it is a very good Denmys! Lovely, sweet waitress who kept refilling our drinks. Bathrooms were very clean and ADA compliant. The food was just what we needed to keep us going. We put half in the cooler for dinner tonight. read more

This dennys offers high priced food which was quoted cheaper online. They charged twice what was advertised and made a tasteless joke on how part of our order, biscuits and gravy, was a joke because they are not McDonald's. Mediocre high priced food and not what we wanted. Take our favorite past time restaurant and turn it into a menu of nothing. Never seen a dennys that doesn't offer biscuits and gravy. read more

The service was terrible. The waitress made a mistake, and when we pointed it out she got defensive and flat-out lied. She brought a side salad when it was supposed to be a full-sized salad. When we asked her if it was a mistake, she claimed that "only the Cranberry and Caesar salads come on larger plates" and that the salad we received was indeed a full-sized salad. Which was NOT true, which we confirmed with another waitress. When we told the manager all of this she simply brushed it off and said that "she can sometimes be that way." The manager did change the price of the salad to be cheaper but I think it's ridiculous that we had to pay for it at all after the waitress flat-out lied to us, and I think it's really unprofessional for the manager to just brush it off so lightly. Besides that mistake, my sandwich was small considering it was $10, and the fries were soggy and not very hot. In addition we both got cups of soup and mine wasn't filled all the way. I can't say enough good about this location. Stopped for lunch on a Thursday. Was impressed with cleanliness, including men's room. Staff very friendly and helpful. Waitress got me my patty melt even though they are no longer on the menu. Great I-25 exit for gas. Enjoyed the stop, and it's a nicer exit for food than Trinidad. Only thing I didn't like, the special seasonal shake, white chocolate and raspberry. read more

Worst Customer service ever!!!! My family & I came from a long trip from Texas (12/23/19) & since the minute we walked in we were treated with bad customer service experience. The manager in charged of sitting people was so rude by yelling out the number of guests. They acted like they have no experience on being a server, making it seem hard to split tickets. We stopped for dinner, and were horrified when we finally got our food. The salad that we received was rotten and spoiled... slimy. The nachos we ordered looked worse than something you would buy at a theater and only had a handful of chips a small spoon of meat. Not thing like the picture, and definitely not worth $9.95. My son got chicken strips and fries, and the strips were fried crisp and completely dried out. We had to repeatedly ask for his fries, and he finally got them after waiting another 10 mins. The flip side? They tried to fix our Order and apologized profusely.... but nothing could save this experience. read more

My family and I passed through on our way to Colorado, and wished we chose somewhere else to eat. Coffee was horrible. My sister's apple juice had white particles floating in it. We nicely informed the waitress and she brought another one with the same problem. She then brought us extra pancakes, but went to waste bc we were content with what we ordered. The manager wasn't dressed appropriately, and I know I waited tables at a Denny's when I was a teenager. We'll never stop at a Denny's on a road trip again. read more

This location has been remodeled recently. It is clean and comfortable. The food was wonderful. We ordered a Fried Chicken Cobb salad and Zesty Nachos. Both had fresh ingredients and tasty dressings/ salsa. The restrooms were clean. The host staff and servers were welcoming and quick. My family and I were traveling from Colorado Springs to San Antonio, so Raton is a stopping point for us to eat and stretch our legs. This time, we actually wanted to get out of the car and eat, so we went to Denny's for lunch. Horrible! You are better going next door or across the street. We waited for almost 5 minutes before we were even seated. (Oh, they saw us standing there, but said or did nothing) Next, was the nastiness in the bathroom, one stahl was clogged and had toilet paper with feces on it, gross!! Second, it was so hot in there, we could hardly breath. I didn't even want my children to wash their hands so I gave them some of my Purrell to clean up with. (I secretly wanted to bath them in it after that). Once we finally got to a table and waited for our food to come (30 minutes later!!) they actually intended to charge us for the Prime Rib Cobb Salad after I asked for no Prime Rib and no bacon. C'mon, I am not going to pay 9.29 for a salad when I can get almost the exact same at McDonalds for half the price. I felt bad for the father and his 2 kids that sat in front of us. After waiting for 20 minutes they were told that the kitchen had ran out of food that they ordered! They left, lucky them...we were already committed so we had to stay. Worse experience ever. I left a detailed review on their dennyslistens.com survey, so we will see what happens. Until then, I will post this review on anything I can find. There are certain things you can expect from Denny's. In this case, only the coffee was to par. Even the OJ was watered down and tasteless. The techno/electronica music blaring from the kitchen made me want to shoot myself in the face. One customer asked if the cook could turn it down, to which the cook replied, "OH my God!!" (A-hole). My cheese omelet was so burnt that my friend asked if it had mushrooms in it. ("No, it's burnt") And although the egg part of the omelet was burnt, the cheese managed to be completely void of melted. No matter how much you think this stop may be a good idea, don't do it. You'll regret it...for the rest of your life...heh. Just kidding...you'll definitely regret it for the rest of your trip. I really don't think I'm hard to please, but eating "with" my husband is normally a pleasant experience. This Denny's changed that. We were seated and waited on quickly, friendly waiters. My husbands meal and my bacon showed up. Evidently the cook didn't know how to make pancake puppies! They didn't show until we checked out...... that after visiting the dirtiest restroom I've ever seen! I was informed by the manager it was cleaned two days ago!!! Best 2$ quesadilla I've ever had. We also got onion rings which were pretty good as well. Our waitress Lavonne was very friendly. It's not like you have many other options in this town- La Cocina is closed on the weekends and we were in Raton on a Sunday. They also advertise for a McDonald's but it looks like it'll be years until it's built. We waited forever to be seated but didn't mind. Then waited for a hour to get a simple apple slices with caramel. Then we asked for more caramel because they gave us a millimeter of it. The food was fine & what I expected from Denny's. The host was a very friendly and nice guy. However, our waitress was obviously bored with her life. She was barely seen. We were a group of 6 and all 6 of our drinks were empty for a while. She was nowhere to be seen. When she finally brought our food, we had to point out all the drinks were empty. Two of the orders were incomplete & we had to send her back to the kitchen. She wasn't friendly, attentive or quick. Our lunch took close to 1.5 hours. read more

In alot of major cities Denny's is synonymous with late night (after the bar) grub that isn't all that appealing. I cannot say that for my local Denny's though. I have NEVER had a bad meal here...wait staff are for the most part friendly and check on you often. Beware the 'graveyard shift' cause the service can be horrible at times; often sitting at the table for 30 minutes waiting to get your order taken. Selections are getting better every year and I just have to have my breakfasts here day or night. Managerial staff are GREAT as I know them on a personal level and are always pleasant...often taking time from their busiest times to stop on over at our table to chat and joke up a storm with us. Upon arrival I was not greeted. I was looked at but not talked to. The sign in the front stated, "please wait for hostess to be seated." I waited a good 4-5 minutes before I was even talked to. The booth was clean however the seats were uncomfortably hard. The food came out quickly and our waitress was nice. I ordered the invisible woman slam. It came with two blueberry pancakes topped with bananas and strawberries, 2 eggs, turkey bacon, and hash browns. I ordered my eggs over easy. One egg had no runny yoke at all and was cooked well. My other egg was over easy. Weird right? The hash-browns were not cooked very well in addition to the turkey bacon. My pancakes only had blueberries in the center and not throughout. The pancake topping were good. My husband got the cinnamon pancake breakfast. His bacon, eggs, and pancakes were good. His hash browns were pretty crappy also. His pancakes tasted like Cinnabon! Those were the hit of the visit. While checking out I noticed a lady with a name tag "Manager" on it. I asked if they had hostesses or if the waitresses were hostesses. She said sometimes they do but mostly on weekends. If you're looking to stop here, I do not recommend it. I like feeling valued as a customer and I did not get that's here. read more

I just had a terrible experience. Do yourself a favor and skip this restaurant. I ordered an ultimate omelette. It arrived very dry with no cheese. The waiter offered to have it remade. It came back in about 2 minutes. They just threw some cheese on the existing omelette and called it good. I sent it back again and told them never mind. I'd get something somewhere else. At that point my husband chimed in that his quesadilla was so hard he couldn't eat it. He opened it up to try to just eat the filling. That's when he discovered that they used nacho cheese sauce instead of shredded cheese on his food. My kids food was fine but overall it was a miserable dinner.
