Let me start with the service! Our waitress was excellent; very attentive, and she smiled a lot. The food was good. We all got some version of the Grand Slam. However, the establishment is not well-kept. We were sitting at one of the big booths in the back. The floor was dirty and the table was dirty. That place could use a good scrubbing from the roof to the floor. Made me think about how the kitchen might look, which made me pause while eating my food! read more

Yes I did it! I went to Denny's because in part I decided to conduct an Orlando chain restaurant tour- since that is mostly what you find in touristy Orlando. I'm giving this only 4-stars because we were skipped over on the wait list, even though the VERY RUDE Hostess claims she did call us, but out of 4 of us we never heard her or saw her come outside to check if we were outside as there was NO place to even stand inside. When she sat us she threw the menus on the table and stormed off. HOWEVER, Tabby (Tabitha) more than made up for this awful beginning. Sooo pleasant, energetic and welcoming. We even tried to track down someone, and were intentionally ignored, most likely because they were understaffed. Shouldn't be open 24 hours near Disney if you can't handle 9-10pm rush. We had just landed and the kids were hungry and we stopped here to eat on the way to our lodging. My wife and I had not been to a Denny's in years and this was the first time for the girls (8 & 11). We were seated promptly and the waitstaff were very nice. The girls had pancakes + bacon and chicken tenders + fries and they really enjoyed it (no complaints). My wife had a salad. I took a chance and had a Salmon dish with mashed potatoes and brussel sprouts. To my surprise it was really good...and I mean really good. Our waitress Michelle was great. She was accommodating & friendly. I ordered the 55+ Omelette expecting something delicious. It was supposed to have diced tomatoes, onion, bacon, & cheddar cheese. What I received was an omelette with 2 slices of tomato, a bacon strip cut in half and a ton of diced raw onion. I could not find any cheddar cheese. Luckily Michelle checked to see if we needed anything. I mentioned how my omelette was not prepared correctly and it was missing the cheddar cheese. Michelle immediately took my plate & offered to make it right. Yes the replacement omelette looked better as it had the diced tomato, grilled onions, bacon pieces & cheddar cheese. Looks were deceiving. The onions had a weird almost pickled taste to them. Not good tasting at all. The cheddar & tomato & bacon tasted good. Toast was included with the meal. However the toast had some sort of yellow lines on it we guess was supposed to be the butter. We asked for a side of butter. The side of butter was white & fluffy, nothing like the odd yellow. The best part of this meal were the hash browns. DH had the Super Slam. He said his was good tasting but not the best. We can honestly say we won't be visiting a Denny's again. read more

While a certain someone in my family had his heart set on Waffle House, I have to admit I wasn't too upset when their line was out the door. A little further up the street we came across Denny's. The kids didn't remember when there used to be a few Denny's around Michigan, so this was a nice vacation treat. My son in particular is a breakfast lover, so the endless pancakes were a tasty dream come true for him. Everything else we got was yummy as well, and the waitress was truly a treat. She was so kind to us and everyone else who had the pleasure to have dealings with her. read more

This Denny's is right around the corner from Hotel Plaza Boulevard near Disney Springs, and it is one of the best Denny's restaurants that we have ever visited. We stopped in on a Sunday morning, and once again it did not disappoint. We had the ultimate omelet and the super slam. Both dishes were great tasting with large portions. Great visit from start to finish. Quick seating in a clean booth. Our server, Daja, was amazing. She greeted us with a smile and introduced herself. She asked if we wanted this or that with our breakfast and didn't even write down our order - everything came out perfect. Daja was bubbly and twice said, "I've got you'". I really felt that our business was appreciated. Super glad that a bus pulled into IHOP and we made a u-turn across the roadway to Denny's. I even spoke with Daja's mama behind the counter and it made my heart sing. Give Daja a little something extra in her paycheck this week-she's a keeper. This is best layout for a Denny's I have seen. It has a large bar with a large open room. Large booths are down the center of the large room with tables. The lack of walls give this place give this place a open feeling. I was seated quickly and the food came just as quickly. Deserie was a fantastic set ever with a great smile and a friendly personality. They had a problem cooking my eggs. I don't like the whites runny but I also like the yolk runny. I can do this at home so I can't understand how professional cooks can't do that. I sent it back and the eggs were almost over hard. Others than that the experience was great. So if you are in Orlando and you want to save a few bucks, try this Denny's. read more

Denny's, still grinding it out after all these years. I haven't been to this one in well over 10 years and my memories of our last visit were not that positive. But we decided to stop in when we couldn't find a place to eat without a wait. What I remembered from my last visit was the dated dining room, average food, pleasant servers and decent pricing. Everything was pretty much the same, but the food was much worse than what I remembered. I got a vegetable omelette with a side of bacon and it was pretty bad, no two ways about it. The eggs had the consistency of the kind of eggs you'd get at a hotel buffet. Overly firm, slightly cool, kind of revolting. The vegetables were all over salted. I also got the jalapeño option but was surprised to see that it was pickled jalapeños rather than fresh. The bacon was soft and rubbery despite me asking for crispy. Overall, nasty. My kids all got pancakes and hated them. The comments ranged from not fluffy, to cold, to not tasty. I will say that the staff was pretty nice in terms of demeanor, but the time to serve the food was way too long. Also the waitress forgot a few items and then when she finally served them, she threw the plates down pretty hard on the table and ran off. Not the nicest vibe. Total bill for 5 was $60 and we left feeling like we could have done alot better elsewhere. We definitely should have waited at a place with a better reputation. Denny's was predictably not worth it. This is conveniently located near the Hyatt Place hotel, within walking distance. There are also other hotels nearby. The menu here is the full menu, not like some other Denny's in other states with limited menu. The food is a large portion and the price is reasonable. Seems at night there is a shortage of servers, and fish items are out. We had to order non fish entrees. Not sure when they will have fish back in stock. Overall the food is tasty, within budget, and location is convenient. Plus they are open 24/7. read more

I came in in to redeem my complimentary birthday month meal. Meghan was my server and from beginning to end made my meal special. I custom ordered my meal from fluffy pancakes with a candle on top with bacon, sausage, and poached eggs. She definitely presented herself so professional and she even sang happy birthday for me and had a candle on top of the pancakes so I can wake a wish for #45. All I can say is WOW! read more

It's the restaurant that welcomes you in, and where you can find affordable, quality food that is cooked to perfection. I had one of their popular skillet breakfast meals. You could see the heat, and hear the sizzle as the waiter was bringing it to our table.
