The only reason I am giving this two stars is because some of the waitresses are spectacular. We have been to this Denny's on multiple occasions and it's really hit or miss . We have had great service and crappy service we have had great food and not so great food , our more recent visit was after about six months of not going so to bad service but we thought we would give them a chance again . Unfortunately while the service was great and we really liked our waitress the management is horrible horrible horrible , no customer service experience for this guy ! No care for the patrons visiting the restaurant! He's rude and short with everyone , seems to keep the poor waitresses on a tight leash and has no happy bone in his body . This visit they messed up my sons order bad almost had him in tears and when they realized it the manger would take any responsibility for the mess up , there was no discount offered they brought my son parts of his order but never the full order . We visited this Dennys for the first time and were very disappointed. Honestly it was the worst service I have ever had. We sat with empty drinks the whole time, the waitress never came to check on us not once, So initially I had to ask the host to fill my drink. We definitely will not be back. read more

Terrible service 40 minute wait for cold dinner! Waiter not attentive, kitchen disorganized. My meal sat under the warming lamp for 20 minutes, husbands order was taken by other waitress to fill her customer order. A couple of gentlemen arrived after us and were served our steak, and left before us. I was able to observe the inefficient service and orders coming out of the kitchen in random order! Bacon - have had better from a microwave Sausage - will probably kill me it was so undercooked Eggs - you can't mess up eggs Hash browns - edible but cold I have had bad breakfast before but never this bad. This was my first visit to this new Denny's. Went in for dinner around 5 pm. There was a steady flow of people. We were seated immediately and asked what would we like to drink. Our drinks were served quite quickly. We asked for a few more minutes to look over the menu. In a few minutes our server Sherri was there to take our order. I had the country style steak and my companion had the bourbon chicken skillet. Both were served promptly and hot! My country style steak was perfectly breaded and tender. My side dishes of mashed potatoes and sautéed zucchini and squash were hot and delicious. The squash still had a crispness to it. I was delighted that the squash was fresh and not frozen. I ate everything on my plate! I'm looking forward to coming back to Denny's again and trying something from the breakfast menu. The pancakes they serve now really look good! read more

I hate to even give it the one star. Worst service and food ever. We went here a year ago and had a bad experience but thought maybe it was just because was new. Tonight was awful so they didn't improve and actually got worse. It took 45 minutes to even get our coffee. Orders were mixed up. Plates came missing food ( bacon) and plates came with food put on that we asked not to be put on. You couldn't even call it food since it was a meatball that you couldn't put a fork into without bending the fork using two hands. The food was awful. The male manager on duty was extremely rude. My friends and I were coming to Denny's to get together & we waited an hour and 20 minutes for our meals only to find out they were undercooked, messily plated, and soggy. Better yet, we asked for the manager and he rudely came over saying, "So who ordered the roast beef," I'm sorry but as a customer I think you should professionally address your customers and not talk to them as if they are your family. This is the second time we've come to this new Dennys, still not impressed. Service was slow when we were seated, no one knew who's table it was. We travel all the time so we've been to other Dennys along the way. .still the same menu, with that being said this group didn't know their menu items. Food was forgot and undercooked. With it being a new Dennys, bathrooms were uncleaned, although a group of employees stood up front just chatting away. We ended up here for lunch because every other restaurant was closed in Moses Lake(its Independence Day). To start, I am giving this a three stars because I know this particular Denny's just opened and it was crazy busy- so I want to give it some benefit of the doubt. Our food tasted good except most was cold or almost cold. The French fries were definitely cold and the double cheeseburger was well done, cold and the bun was soggy. My moons over my hammy tasted good, but again slightly cold and the presentation was messy (I have had this before at other Denny's and it seems to be consistent- so when I saw this sandwich with eggs everywhere, and barely any ham, I was slightly disappointed. My husband had the chicken tenders, and when the waitress brought them she asked my husband "are these going to be okay?" When we asked why, she said "they just don't look good to me". To me, this seemed weird. We attributed it to her being new to waitressing. My husband said the chicken tastes good, but the fries were cold. My dad had a milkshake- which typically Denny's is known for their desserts. His shake was pretty much chocolate milk. Overall, the food tasted okay, but of course we would rather have hot food . The last thing, upon leaving, an employee was sitting right outside the door on the bench smoking. I feel that this is rude and gross. 1. You're suppose to be 25 feet from the door and 2. It's rude, as an employee to do this and your customers have to walk through your smoke. Again, I attribute a lot of this to being new staff and just opening. I decided to try Denny's due to the proximity to the hotel I stayed at on this business trip. It's Denny's so expectations should never be too high. It's been a long time since I've been to any Denny's, I expected pretty basic but decent food. My waitress was very attentive, served quickly and with a friendly smile. She was where the positive side of this ended, the food was blah, even below the already low expectations. Nothing really wrong but not good. Just blasé. I had a chicken Cobb salad. The lettuce was like drinking old luke-warm water, nothing refreshing or healthy tasting about it. The chicken was clearly pre-cooked and reheated, just had that day old flavor. The manager spent the 45 minutes I sat here complaining about his hours and other topics to the staff, when I left the manager and another waiter were standing near the front door and not so much as a " thanks for coming in" or "have a good evening", no courtesy at all. I wouldn't bother stopping here, there has to be a better option down the road. The two stars are strictly for the young waitress. read more

Food was as expected, service was good. Manager and employee were outside smoking next to the door when we arrived and the manager blew smoke in our faces as we walked in. Seriously not ok. Washington State law requires smoking to be further than 25 feet from entrances and windows. I do not recommend. We waited a long while for the drink order, and in total for over an hour for drinks and they still missed half of them. When they finally brought the food there was corn, strawberries and salad dressing missing and we had to let them know we needed it. My husband asked for thousand island dressing and the waitress said ok and when I had to tell the manager what dressing we were missing he rudely said that they didn't have any. At the end of the meal we realized that 2 of the orders were incomplete, missing eggs, hash browns and bacon. So we had to get that to go since we had been there for almost 2 hours at this point and the manager said he couldn't take it off the bill. We ended up seeing the manager more than our waitress. We only saw her maybe 3 times and one of them was when she cleared the table. They never brought the bill to us. My husband had to go ask for it. My friend had to ask the manager to stop touching her baby. We had hungry children waiting for way too long to eat. To top all of that off the people next to us came in 45 minutes or longer after us and got there food at the same time as us. This is the worst experience we have ever had. We will not be coming back here unless we hear something like "there are new owners combined with new management". Been to sharis right down the road and never had an issue there. I was just now reading reviews on this Dennys on FB, it is pretty evident that some of the reviews are by the staff, I find that pretty troubling. read more

Great place to go if you 1) want to wait a long time for your food, 2) don't want to have your coffee refilled, and 3) enjoy interacting with and observing the antics of a highly unprofessional staff. They were not busy, yet I saw each order sit in the serve area, just waiting to be served. Then, I saw our order there ... and I waited and watched the staff standing around, joking, chatting. Finally, the cook hollered, "Can someone clear the window?". No one sprang to action, but eventually our food was delivered. Nothing spectacular, and definitely not hot. Flagged someone down for a coffee refill & with 3 cups of coffee at the table, the server took my single cup from the table to refill it in the server area ...? When I nicely asked if there were more jam/jelly options than grape & strawberry, the mgr. told me that was it and I was "lucky to get that". The pendant light over our booth was apparently broken, with a note taped to it that said it was an electrical hazard & don't touch. The booth seat had a big tape repair. Sure didn't feel this particular Denny's is managed well. Will pass on this place for future trips. read more

Tried to talk to a manager and some lady named April came over I told her the issue and not only was she snotty she completely belittled me and my family. Okay,, my wife and I decided to retry this place after a year thinking that maybe it got better. Well folks, it didn't. This place is a sorry excuse for a food establishment. My wife ordered just a simple breakfast; scrambled eggs, bacon, link sausage and pancakes with strawberries and whipped cream on top. Well the eggs were poorly prepared and the bacon and sausage were so greasy that they were in fact inedible. The pancakes were tasteless and the topping was not only an extra charge but were frozen strawberries and non dairy whipped cream. And to add insult to injury, we were charged extra for the toppings. I ordered the Chicken Philly and that was quite a creation; frozen bits of chicken and vegetables in a sloppy cheese sauce that was not only terrible to look at but tasted twice as bad. And the presentation of both luncheon meals was horrible...In fact no presentation at all. The service was reasonable. In all this confirms the need for decent places to eat in Moses Lake that know how to prepare and serve real food and not just take frozen crap and throw it on a grill with enough grease to make you sick and call it food. If I could give negative stars I might. We were in town for a state wide gathering, and hungry and tired. Thought... let's do Denny's they're quick and easy and usually have an nice enough menu. Place was packed and chaotic. The ladies at the front desk did a good job letting us know that they were still working on getting us a table, though it became a bit over done and cloyingly sweet after the 6 or 7th inquiry as to whether we were OK. Finally shown to a table and given menus. Then nothing. And I mean NOTHING. No waitress ever confessed to being ours, no water, no attention AT ALL We patiently waited while the current surge finished and left....and while people that we had waited with earlier (seated after us) came, got beverages, got food! And finally decided to leave. Stopped at the front and told the manager (Deer in the headlights look, no comment) that we had been ignored completely and we were going elsewhere. Previously had a skillet breakfast that was so greasy it was inedible, which they didn't seemed concerned about. This time it took 40 minutes to be seated. Granted it was Sunday morning, but I had to finally stop someone after about 7 minutes of walking past us to put us on the wait list. After seated service was extremely slow and terrible. It took about an hour after finally being seated to get our food. By then it had cleared out considerably, so the wait was NOT understandable. (The table next to us asked 2 different waitresses at least 3 times why they didn't get their whole order. Pancakes were finally delivered to them when everyone else at the table was done.) We asked for coffee but our waitress said there wasn't any and was waiting for it to be brewed. Meanwhile other waitresses were refilling coffee at 2 tables near us. Dressing for cobb salad was served so we thought food would arrive soon. We saw an order in the window we thought was ours and watched it. With our waitress no where in site, she finally appeared and served it after it sat in the window for over 20 minutes. Pancakes were so cold butter wouldn't melt, eggs were cold, fries were barely room temperature, hot sandwich not hot and the chef salad order wasn't served until later when the rest of us were more than half done with our meals. We wouldn't have accepted the food except we were so hungry after waiting for an hour. Waitress didn't show up for coffee refills and we felt like we were putting her out. (Young gal with gray headband.) When paying were asked about our meal and I said it wasn't good we would have been better off having Fruit Loops at home. Young man's response was "Well it gets really busy on Sunday." Being busy doesn't account for just plain bad service, food in the window for more than 20 minutes, cold food. I agree with previous reviews. It's consistently the worst Denny's we've ever eaten at. We won't waste our money there again. read more

Honestly, the service in this store is ridiculously horrible. As soon as we set foot into the restaurant, the hostess didn't acknowledge us, the manages seated two families who got there after us with the same amount of people in their party (3 adults 1 child). Once we were seated we waited for I kid you not, 35 min before the manager (who was serving since they were short staffed) came to ask for drinks. We knew he was busy so I informed him that we all knew what we wanted if we could just put in our order now so that we didn't have to wait extra time. He straight up ignored our request saying he'd be back in a bit. Another 15 min went by and still no drinks, no order taken, no sight of the guy! We asked another waitress who had just arrived on the floor if she could get him for us and she vey sweetly told us she would. He still made us wait another 10 min before he showed up with attitude and when I asked him for an ETA on the food since they were busy he was like "well it'll be 15/20 min or do you even want it?" We agreed to wait and then he brought the food out which he had left sitting on the counter for like 30 min. I'm not even exaggerating!! I asked him a simple question about extra avocado and how much was I was paying for four small slices. He answered so rudely. I checked my chicken in my salad and it was as cold as if it was left overs taken from the fridge! He told me that if my family didn't want the food then we could get out.
