This Denny's locations was very nice! it was relatively clean. The only downside was we were seated right next to the kitchen. Our waitress was kind and quick. We got a Grand slam but substituted the cinnamon roll pancakes and the lumberjack plate. We substituted the cinnamon roll pancake which was very good, just sweet, but definitely tasted like a cinnamon roll. The lumberjack slam's pancakes had bananas and strawberries, again we would have preferred the regular pancake. The lumberjack slam had the shredded hash browns, which were pretty tasty. The ham that came with the lumberjack slam was just okay. We have not found a place with good cured me in Homestead yet :( A solid, good-priced breakfast diner here! read more

Horrible service, server Marisol V. was extremely rude. We went (a group of minors ages 15-17) for breakfast. As we were ordering the waiter insults my friend about her personality/relationship. We ordered milkshakes and the milk was expired, they were remade. As we paid we did not leave a tip purely because of the disrespect and the waiter which served us rang us up and was displeased with us not leaving a tip so she continues to insult my friend saying she doesn't even need any money from us, my friend mentions we are minors and she is a 15 and the waiter says that she is no kid and that she looks like a 50 year old. My friend left in tears. When we left we realized the receipts were high and when checked the prices on the receipt did not match that of the menu. Were we over charged? Don't come here. read more

Not gonna lie, I can't believe Denny's had the best food and service out of all the restaurants we tried in Homestead. We wanted to come for a quick breakfast since our hotel didn't serve any real food, and upon arriving we were seated quite promptly. Our waitress was really nice, and we were able to get our orders in quite fast as well. We got the banana berry pancake combo with scrambled eggs and sausage, and also a side of over medium eggs and turkey bacon. The food came out relatively quickly and was hot and fresh. The pancakes were really fluffy and my mom especially liked the whipped cream on top. The hashbrowns were good as well! Our waitress actually misheard turkey bacon for regular but upon asking her she quickly apologized and corrected it. The eggs were also great. I appreciated how she also let us use our hotel discount, to which she had to ask the manager to confirm. Overall, we had great service and great food from here! read more

Beware! If you are ordering the Sirloin Steak special for $9.99 on the small placard that sits on the tables. It says you can order two classic sides. In one of the pictures of the five steaks featured, it shows a baked potato. There is no baked potato listed on the menu. My husband and I each ordered one of these steak specials and each ordered a side salad, I also ordered mashed potatoes, he ordered the fries. Each of these sides are listed on the regular menu. Both of our steaks were fatty. Mine had a strange texture and didn't taste like a regular sirloin tastes. When we got our bill, we were up-charged on our salads and my husband was up-charged on his fries too. We brought this to the attention of our server, who said that that is standard to charge more for the salad. We asked to speak to the manager, who took about 10 minutes to come and speak with us. When we pointed out on the table card that it says two classic sides are included and there was nothing written or spoken about an up-charge on salad or fries. He argued with us and would not take off the additional charges. We told him it was false advertising, but he seemed to not understand. My husband paid the bill, but we told him we would never come back. This was Mothers Day for dinner time. The manager was a black man with what seemed to be an African accent. It seemed also that maybe he couldn't read or understand what we were telling him, or he just didn't care. Too bad we were planning to eat there again this week. read more

Dennys store was being steamed cleaned while we there / just finishing . Busy place on Friday . Tourist and locals . Service was good and was tasty . Chef cooked the potatoes so perfect right amount of crispy and the eggs where perfectly cooked with a side of sourdough toast. We stopped on way back north from key west. Gas station next door so eat and gas up and go. Easy move . Better than other fast food places along the roadway. read more

I love Denny's and this one exceeded my expectations!! The service was amazing. She was very fast and friendly. My French toast was perfectly cooked. The bacon, eggs and sausage were good. My husband said his chicken was tender as juicy. The squash was well cooked and he liked that the potatoes still had their skins. The restaurant was really clean. We had a group of 29 so the fact that we got a section just to ourselves was great. The two staff members assigned to us tried very hard to get all our drink and food orders. The restaurant was pretty clean and so we're the menus. The options were as expected. My skillet and pancakes were picture perfect and delicious. I hadn't been to a Denny's in decades so I was impressed. I asked our table of 8 to write orders on a napkin so we could just hand it to the waiter. That seemed to work. Of course a few things were not present once we got the good but that's normal. One waiter was definitely more skilled. Thankfully the restaurant want busy because it was probably working at least a cook short so we got our food in waves. The last wave took more than an hour so that was frustrating but everyone except me was understanding. My daughter ended up taking food to go because they took so long to make a simple honey chicken sandwich. I appreciate the skilled waiters for trying to help and for doing a good job splitting checks. The other waiter was under the impression that missing one order was "pretty good" for his third day. So, I was so impressed with this Denny's the first time I went, I decided to go back. I saw that there was a nice looking steak on the menu the first time I was there. So, I show up and the hostess recognized me and sat me in the same table. The waitress was different and came up to me quickly to ask me for my drink choice. She brought my drink over and said she would be right back. Well!! fifteen minutes later, I finally had my order taken. I ordered the steak medium well, corn and salad. The food out very fast, just a little too fast! The salad was different from the first night I was there. Just thrown together and missing a couple of items. Wish they were a little more consistent. The garlic bread was so buttery, it actually oozed butter as to touched it, and the corn was bland. Down to the Main star! The Steak! The most rare steak I have ever had. I was lucky that it was even a warm rare! I finished my meal and then had the opportunity to hang out at the Denny's for another twenty -five or so minutes. Service was horrible, ordered our food and waited over an hour to be served. My wife spoke with the supervisor and she told her because it was Father' days and it would take a little longer , but other customers had come later and had received their orders. A few minutes later our food arrived and just by looking at our food it was obvious that it had been sitting under the warmer for some time. Worst experience ever. We must have been there for like 2 hours trying to eat breakfast. The place was PACKED and it seems the manager thought it would be a good idea to let a brand new server go off on her own. She was waaaaaaaaaay out of her depth. As frustrating as it was waiting an hour for our food, not getting coffee, getting french toast with no syrup, getting coffee but no cream etc, I felt bad for her because clearly she was not equipped to handle a couple of tables let alone a place this packed. Bottom line is the manager should of never let her be on her own. Finally we had to hail another server down to try to figure out where all our food was. Came to Denny's Florida, 12375 State Road to have the full American Denny's breakfast experience. There was lots of parking available, and we were seated quickly with a nice booth table. The restaurant was nice and cool with tables available (Tuesday morning). Lashan was our server, very friendly and polite, loved the fact Lashan called us ma'am and sir. Thank you so much Lashan! The kids had children's menus with Crayons and we maxed out on the coffee and hot chocolate refills. The hash brown was amazing, the boys like the pancakes and we recommend trying the French Vanilla Delight creamer with the coffee. Ask for Lashan for the best experience! A must try. read more

My letter to Denny's customer service sent tonight should explain my review: I was contacted by an area manager a few days after I received your email. She promised me a refund for this issue. After a few days I reached back out to her questioning the refund again. She indicated that it would be 3-5 business days for the refund to arrive and to give it more time. I am still waiting for my refund and it's almost April. I am sick and tired of this restaurant and wish I had another option when ordering food late at night because I would boycott ordering from this location if it weren't so convenient. I plan to hit social media, Yelp and Google HARD with 1 star detailed reviews of this location. I order at least 3x a week. Is this the way loyal customers are treated? HORRIBLE customer service. I want my issue escalated higher this time. If I do not receive a refund or response within a week I will dispute this charge with my bank and my letter to Denny's CEO John Miller will go out to your corporate offices via certified mail. I am not playing around anymore. Someone at corporate needs to do something about this location. I have stories beyond belief of things that have happened to me when ordering from this restaurant. Last night, for example, I ordered delivery at 1130pm and my order arrived shortly after 2am. I had ate cereal for dinner instead and was already asleep because I thought my order was never going to arrive. Another example--a few weeks ago I found extra hidden pieces of toothpicks in my club sandwich. Thank God I didn't bite hard on the sandwich and realized they were hidden in there before I damaged my mouth or you would have had a MAJOR LAWSUIT on your hands over that situation. I don't even bother complaining anymore because I get zero response about my complaints. I can never get ahold of the restaurant to complain. They never pick up the phone. When will someone in corporate realize what a problem restaurant this is? When will something finally be done to fix this obviously mismanaged location? This Dennys is far greater than any of the others I have gone to, like ever. By far is this Dennys the best, the employees are great, and they are very kind. The waiter that served us was very nice and patient. I ordered a Bourbon Bacon Burger, and the wait was kind of long, but the Dennys was PACKED today, like every seat was full and the staff were working the whole time. We we're driving through Homestead so we figured we would stop at Denny's for supper. There were maybe three people in the entire facility. Although not renovated since the 80s, the food was fine.
