Summer 2020 requested bid for repairs to my project car; finally received bid in Summer of 2021. 1 year later. Made appointment with owner-Denny, to present the vehicle for repairs on August 23,2021. Car delivered that date. Denny advised parts would be ordered & completion date approximately 8 days.
Telephone contact with Denny on Tuesday, September 7,2021 for status & was advised the vehicle would be finished on Friday September 10th.
Telephone contact with Denny morning of September 10th. He advised vehicle was ready for pick-up. He abruptly put me on hold and an unidentified employee picked up phone and advised me vehicle was not ready yet & that a used door had been located & ordered and was to be delivered by September 15th.
I traveled to Denny's Body Shop on the afternoon of September 15th to personally ascertain the status of my vehicle. I found my vehicle parked on the street opposite the body shop, and parked in front of Libby High School. I found the vehicle muddy (wheels & fenders), and mud in the interior. I had recently had a new convertible top installed on the vehicle at a cost of several hundred dollars.
It was obvious to me that Denny's Body Shop did not intend to place my vehicle in a secure location and had not even locked up my vehicle.
I immediately made contact with the owner, Denny, who advised me the replacement door had not been received and was scheduled to arrive sometime around September 22, 2021.
I stated to Denny that he had possession of my vehicle for approximately one month and no work had even been conducted on my vehicle, thus I was removing my vehicle from his shop.
Denny became Belligerent, hostile, and extremely non-professional.
