Wish I could give -5 stars. This place is a shitshow. I bought a 77 Bug in April 2025. 3 Weeks later I had to pay $2100 for a new transmission. Dennis' response was "sorry, but we can't check the cars." That was just start of problems. Turns out, both the horn and the windshield wipers didn't work. It's a state law that they work but that didn't stop them from selling the car. I guess rules don't matter to them. To their credit, they did fix the problem but it took 6 months. I live in Ventura County. They are in Culver City. It's 1.5 hours one way. It took me 6 trips to finally get everything fixed. That's 3 hours plus the time I waited while they didn't fix the problem. Dennis told me "I'll take care of it for you. I'll get you some compensation." Well, Dennis figured that my 30 hours of time and gas was worth - wait for it - $100. Deduct the $70 in gas that I paid and Dennis thought $1 an hour was worth my time. But wait, there's more. I never got the money. They said the "check is in the mail." That was over a month ago. I bought a car from here that was listed on ebay and described as a running car. I made the trip from Sacramento to Los Angeles only to find out this running car was no longer in running condition and needed engine work done. I wanted to buy the car and do a test drive but because of the engine issues I was unable to test drive the car. I was given a fair deal below asking price and was told what the engine needed to be fixed. I paid for the car to be towed to my house. The vehicle wouldn't even make it up my driveway because the clutch was stuck. There is no way this company didn't know about this issue when they sold me the car but yet said nothing about it. Really disappointed by his lack of knowledge and care. I have a 2012 genuine buddy 125 scooter. He asked it's its Chinese? No. It's tawainees and a superior bike. Right now, 2009's are on sale for $1900. He offered me $500 for the bike and said he would sell it for $1,000. He has no clue. If he wanted to make $500, I would take $1400 for my bike and he could easily make 500 on it. I have full chrome Kit on it that's $500 in itself. His website states highest price sold. Ya right. I bought a 67 Camaro earlier this year, my first question was what issues does the car has, the answer was: "None, and I drove the car myself." Lies. I called to complain and was met with rude remarks. No warranty. I knew there were going to be problems on a 67 year old car. I even accepted that the power steering pump had to be changed because it leaked so badly. The engine needed to be changed and replaced within twenty miles of driving, then there was the missing wiper motor and horn. Also, most of the lights did not work. People need to be very wary of buying a car from Dennis without the ability to inspect first. read more

I'll give two stars because I was able to get my deposit back. I went to check out this motorcycle they had listed and I was standing outside for a good 20-30 minutes, I saw they were busy with other customers and I was fine with that. After 30 mins I went inside and I said I'm interested in the Honda but I said I would come back the next day because I had work and Dennis asked me if I wanted it, I said yes and he said to put a deposit down so he could hold it. I put my deposit, got my receipt and went on my way. Called the next day to tell him I was going to pick it up Saturday instead he said ok. Went back today (Saturday) had the tow truck ready. First and foremost; this is the worst car experience I've ever had by far. I've owned about 7 used cars in the past, both European and American and never have I been plagued with so many issues. I purchased a 1965 Ford Mustang from Dennis, and literally from the first day I bought it, it's had non stop issues. These are the problems in chronological order: 1. It wouldn't start as soon as I got it home. Immediately had to have the Solenoid and Alternator replaced. 2. Soon as I got it back, and tried to drive it to work, it overheated in traffic and wouldn't move. This will be my 2nd time having it towed in less than 5 days. They charged me $150 for a new radiator cap and thermostat, for parts they paid about $10 for. Considering he has his own mechanics on site, I realized how particularly egregious this charge was later on. I also realized this would not be enough to completely fix the problem, and had a new aluminum radiator with custom hoses put in. Even more $$$. 3. Later that night, upon leaving work, I notice the head lights flickering on and off. Had to bring it right back in, in the morning. They thought it was the light switch in the floor. They replaced that, but as soon as i turned the car on, lights still cut on and off. After another day or so, the issue was fixed by replacing the headlight switch. 4. Immediately after getting the car back for these fixes, I noticed the brakes felt spongey. The brakes completely failed on me the next day and I was lucky that I did not crash the car into the curb trying to stop it. This is now the 3rd and 4th time I'm having the car towed in less than 2 weeks time. 5. I already had a new water pump in hand, so I asked that the Mechanic shop next door, install that along with the new power disk brake upgrade kit I paid $1100 for. The back drum brakes ended up having to be repaired/rebuilt along with the front drums I was having replaced with the kit. An unexpected added extra cost. Made 100x worse by the fact that Dennis assured me the brakes were at least 85% and in great condition. The car was in the shop for almost 2 WEEKS on this fix. 3 days for the parts to come in, then the kit Dennis ordered didn't have all the parts, so extra cost + time for brackets and other misc pieces for the brake kit. 6. The mechanic shop ended up finding there was a rusted bolt from the water pump that broke off in the engine block. This one was just the nail in the coffin of an already AWFUL time with this car. I don't know if Dennis' mechanics tried to take it off and broke it or if this is something that happened prior to them buying the car. Either way, this should have been fixed or at least diagnosed before the car was sold. I'm lucky that another mechanic I brought it to, was able to extract the bolt with some welding/taking engine apart, for another $500+ dollars. 7. Upon fixing the broken bolt, the mechanic shop found that the transmission was also leaking, another $200+ dollars to rectify this issue. At this point, I'm so furious, I've just thrown my hands in the air and given up altogether. I will be selling the car as soon as the registration comes in the mail. The last month or so that I've had the car, i've only been able to drive it maybe 3 full days without it being towed or taken to the shop. This is extremely frustrating, considering Dennis told me they "completely went through the the whole car" and it was in great condition, ready to go. This was a bold face lie. Word of advice to any future customers here, DO NOT trust that the car you're getting is sound. I wanted to get a full inspection done and he assured me it wasn't needed. IT IS! It's worth spending the $150-$250 for a classic car inspection, and in retrospect, I could've saved myself so much money. You will end up paying for it on the back end anyway. The reasons this review is 2 stars and not 1, is that they didn't charge me for the solenoid and alternator fixes. He also kept his word on fixing the broken driver side window regulator, as well as the fuel gauge. They fixed the headlight switch, which was another annoying problem. The driver side door also didn't close well, and they kind of fixed that, but the lock still annoyingly pops out of the car door. They also gave me a fair trade in value on my 99 Porsche Boxster. His assistant Bianca is nice, and the service helped bump this review up 1 star. This should have been a fun first time classic car experience for me. But, thanks to Dennis, it has been an overall horrible time. It will probably be years before I purchase another classic, if ever again. Future buyers beware! read more

I owned a 1993 Chevrolet Corvette convertible, in great shape, that I sold to Dennis. Although I didn't get the price I wanted, Dennis was professional and handled the entire transaction in around a half hour, then paid for my Uber home. If you have a car you want to sell, I recommend that you call Dennis for an estimate. **** BUYERS BEWARE **** Purchased the car remotely. Had several discussions with Dennis prior to purchase. Many are even documented. In those conversations he confirmed that: 1. The tires were in good condition and still had 70% life. 2. The brakes are great and have 75% life 3. The radio antenna was broken so he was going to install a new one (he had already purchased a replacement). 4. "You are going to love this car! It had only one owner, is rust free and in excellent condition" FACTS AFTER PURCHASING THE CAR AND HAVING A TOYOTA CERIFIED MECHANIC THOROUGHLY INSPECT: 1. The brakes measured only 3MM (that's less than 30% of life). They need replacement along with the rotors. 2. The tires (all 5) were horrifically dry rotted and would not pass inspection. Need replacement. 3. The antenna he left in the car for me to install was the wrong one. Need to purchase and install a new one. 4. The parking brake was totally disabled and not functioning. Will not pass inspection and requires replacement. 5. The distributor is faulty and requires replacement. 6. The steering stabilizer requires replacement 7. The coolant is cloudy and requires an extensive cleaning and flush. 8. The side marker lights need full replacement because they are not only missing the rubber seal, the bulb socket is completely missing. 9. Most of the exterior bulbs require replacing. The list goes on and on and is a far cry from being in "excellent condition". I sent an email to Dennis asking for a small credit to help pay for the items he essentially lied about ... the tires, the brakes, and the antenna. His response in a nutshell, "I do not negotiate twice". Buyers - highly suggest you take a mechanic with you upon inspecting the car. Dennis is your quintessential, "used car salesman". In spite of all this, Dennis was easy to work with remotely. And his administrative staff was very organized and helpful. But that doesnt give him the right to bamboozle me. read more

He was fifteen minutes late for our appointment, then left me standing in the summer sun for ten minutes while he talked to someone he decided was more important. Left my car running while he wandered away. Told me he would give me $500 for my car "as a courtesy," then tried to raise it to $700 while I was driving off the lot. This lot advertises itself as a good place for women to sell our cars. I would describe it as "same sh*t, different day." It's too bad because the owner, who was vacationing in Paris the day I went, had a cool photo of the Rat Pack playing pool on his wall, and a nice print of Thelonious Monk. One likes to support those with taste. Also, their administrative assistant was very polite and efficient in person, and great on the phone. Oh well. 7/15/16: Just read owner's response. It's true I arrived at 10:00 and that my appointment was for 10:15. Pablo arrived at 10:30, fifteen minutes after my appointment, as I said, then kept me waiting longer. He was also rude, which I believe is generally frowned on whether a business is busy or not. No one asked me about the A/C on the phone, just asked if it ran. (A/C needed service, not replacement.) No "noise," loud or otherwise. Sold it to a private party for $1,300 the next day. 12/22/16: Update - Person I sold the car to still delighted, has never heard the "noise" Pablo referred to, car still running well. read more

I never write reviews but I got kind of screwed over on my 2007 Volkswagen rabbit I bought here. Said it had never been in an accident but when I moved to Oregon which it rains here a lot there was 3 different leaks into my car from the rain. Took Me over a month to find someone who could figure out where it was coming from and it was coming from the back due to a bent frame from an accident. I had to pay $1000 grand to get it fixed. Also when I originally bought the car it had a hard time starting. The moment I tried driving it off the lot it wouldn't start. They were kind enough to fix the problem but a scary feeling when buying a car. I'm sharing my experience because I honestly trusted this car was a great deal and it ended up costing me more than it was worth by far after fixing all the damages. It still needs a new ac pump which will cost me another grand. Not happy with my purchase at all! Two stars for the attempt to make this situation better but I feel like they should check out the car fully before trying to buy and resell for full Kelly blue book value. Actually it was over Kelly blue book value because of the "low mileage" at that point with all the damage I've had to pay for, low mileage doesn't even matter. read more

When I walked into the dealership Dennis was a lively character. He is nice until you sign the papers on a "Sold As Is" car. I found it strange that he kept asking his assistant if I signed the papers yet? That should have been my red flag,but no. I proceeded the transaction and within hours discovered the car is a piece of junk. I asked if there were any defects I should know about that would affect if I think I can handle or not he kept saying no (lies). Several trips back to his place and 3 mechanics later, my car stops in the middle of traffic. When I call or visit the dealership he acts as if I am a thorn in his side. I don't want anything but a working vehicle. I didn't sign up to purchase/finance a car that is not only NOT drivable but DANGEROUS to drive. I would only recommend that you purchase a car from him if you are on a suicide mission and would like to die in your car and possibly take a few lives along with you. I believe even if he reads this review he will do nothing to rectify the situation. If I don't make the payments, he will take the car back and resell it with all its issues. He's that kind of guy.
