The whisper test has not been an FAA-recognized hearing standard for approximately 30 years, and a handheld device administered by a nurse does not meet the requirements for a valid FAA pure tone audiometric test. He then charged me an extra $40 for the time it took to process the improper deferral. The result was a cascade of FAA correspondence, a formal denial, and months of my time correcting a problem that should never have happened. I ultimately had to go to a second AME, obtain a proper evaluation, and go through the full reconsideration process with the Federal Air Surgeon -- all because of an invalid test. If you are considering Dr. Shih as your AME, I strongly recommend verifying that he is current on FAA hearing evaluation standards before your appointment.

Then you have to be transferred to the Suwanee office after you talk with that Rep. I do not like this. Well today I called and had an emergency and needed a referral right away for surgery. The lady I spoke to was named Daily. At least that is what she told me. She was very rude. Kept me on the phone at least 15 min and had an attitude. The phone was silent. I kept asking her was she there. No answer. Then when she did answer she was rude. I kept telling her I needed to speak with that office please transfer me. She kept typing ignoring what I was saying to her. When she decided to transfer me on her time it was 15 min of waiting. She was rude ,and uncaring. I asked for her name and I told her she was rude. She did not care. Did not even care how I felt on the other end. I guess she is there only for a paycheck and it is sad. She did not go out of her way to do anything. but once I was transferred a lady named Darrienn helped me and this lady was sent from God. So sweet so kind. Understood my frustration and went out of her way to help get my referral sent over. I told her I appreciate her and people like her. I can tell she really loves not only her job but cares about people the patients. I pray she will get a good raise one day because this lady was awesome. So the ending was a great experience for me. I have been to several doctors in the past few years…read morebattling and on going health issue and I have never, ever, had such a horrible and negative experience with a PCP as I had with Dr. Musunuru. I moved states so I went in trying to establish care and communicate my on going issues since I can no longer be seen by my previous specialists. Within minutes of being seen, she was immediately very rude to me and dismissive of all of my concerns, (the ones I could even get out before she interrupted me.) Red flag number one. I was very confused as I was a first time patient and I had never met her before and she had no idea the reason of my visit. She constantly interrupted me when I was trying to communicate my feelings and my concerns to her throughout my entire visit. It was a constant battle to get a word in and even when I did, I was inevitably interrupted. Once I finally stood up for myself and finally got to finish my list of concerns I had, she dismissed almost everything once again. Stating "it's all mental" and another time stating that maybe the reason I've had to go to so many doctors was because I "was the problem." She made other comments as well that I can't write here publicly due to my privacy. The whole appointment just felt like one giant argument for no reason. I left crying my eyes out from frustration and called my husband to tell him my experience. I basically paid my copay be belittled and left at square one. I will have to now go somewhere else, pay another copay and start all over. This is all my own personal experience I had, so make your own choices. But I strongly advise others to avoid this practice. I have never felt so unsafe and awful leaving a doctors office.

The office staff seems committed to offering the best customer experience. I can tell they succeed at that. No issue with them. My concern relates to time spent as a new patient. I spent 25' max. with Dr. Alana Villada. I spent 25' in a direct personal exchange between me, the patient, and the said Dr. I received a bill of $308.10. I checked with my insurance. I was billed under code 99204 (New patient office visit, 45-59 minutes). I reached out to the billing team and they sent me back to the office manager. The office manager stated that any work conducted by the Physician via the portal (like uploading and posting a comment about a lab result) can be minutes aggregated to the initial visit face-to-face. I am in disagreement since I interacted with the doctor only 25'. Any work done after the face-to-face visit culminated (asynchronously, not demanding a patient's response or physical examination, online, etc.) cannot be considered an in-person visit with a licensed professional or be billed under the same care or service provided. Well, I've seen the new dentist two times and have had absolutely no work needed. Take that as you will. I have two stars because the front desk was efficient.
