I have been going to Dr. Brown for years. Very professional. They make going to the dentist not such a painful experience.

I am writing to express my serious concern regarding my son's recent orthodontic appointment. The…read morefirst wire placed on my son's teeth was incorrect, as confirmed by the orthodontist, and the hygienist had to remove it and put on a new wire. He was seated in the treatment chair for over an hour, and when we inquired about the extended duration, we were informed that his saliva was interfering with the procedure. Unfortunately, just one day after the appointment, the arch-wire has begun dislodging from the brackets in several areas due to what appears to be improper installation. My son has reported that the braces feel insecure and shift during eating, which is both uncomfortable and concerning. Additionally, it is unacceptable that your practice is utilizing temporary staff to perform orthodontic work -- a highly specialized field -- when they clearly lack the proper training and expertise to do so competently. Orthodontic procedures require skilled, qualified professionals, and entrusting this work to under-trained temporary personnel puts patients at risk. The overall quality of the work performed was far below the standard of care we expect from a professional orthodontic practice. The brackets and wiring were not applied correctly, and the result reflects a lack of competence and oversight. We would like this matter addressed and corrected immediately.

Two different staff members, on two separate calls, confirmed they accept Medicaid. I traveled an hour to get there, only to be told at check-in that they don't actually accept Medicaid, and that I'd instead be charged à la carte based on a clinical assessment they hadn't mentioned once. I went ahead with a 45-minute consultation. A hygienist rattled off a series of dollar figures verbally -- no itemized breakdown, no written estimate, nothing I could actually match to a treatment plan. It felt like the kind of pricing model that's designed to be confusing, especially for anyone in pain who might feel stuck accepting whatever number they're given on the spot. No treatment was performed. I was told my X-rays would be sent to another dentist so I could get care elsewhere. Instead, they were submitted to CareSource -- even though no treatment happened here and I have no coverage relationship with CareSource through this office. Every other dentist I've since contacted says the X-rays they received are unusable. I've filed complaints with the Georgia Board of Dentistry and reported this to the district attorney's office. If you're on Medicaid, call and get insurance acceptance confirmed in writing before you go -- verbal confirmation clearly isn't reliable here.

This place completely sucks…read more First of all, they lock their doors and open as the patients arrive. The front desk staff act like they don't even see you when you've just been standing in front of the door for several mins..... until you physically call them to open the door. You know they see you too, it's all glass doors in this plaza. Not to mention rude attitudes by these girls working the front. They have a "no-show" $50 fee, which is also stupid. They also constantly make mistakes on appointments. Dr. Sehee (Jenny) Kim talks in a very condescending way, constantly judges on your teeth and says unnecessary crap, which makes you feel very uncomfortable. She's always trying to nit pick at nothing to make more money and makes you come back over and over, completely wasting your time. She is so money hungry and talks to her staff in a rude way, even in front of patients. Talking about "that's 4 of my lunches" to the assistant as she makes a mistake. You're a dentist, be professional.... that's the bottom line. As soon as you sit down, the hygienist brings you a paper to sign forcing you to get flouride which is $75 out of your pocket. When you refuse, Dr. Jenny Kim comes in and asks WHY? WHY NOT? WHY? BUT YOU NEED IT. NO YOU WILL GET IT. Just really annoying talking to this dentist and dealing with everyone here. I mean, i get why front girls are always so angry.... i would be too if I was working for a boss like that. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE.

After reading some of the negative reviews, i was a little skeptical., but after meeting their staff, all of my fears were put to rest. The front desk staff was very pleasant, friendly and helpful. From the check in process to check out, i was kept informed of the entire visit. The dental hygienist, Stacia (i believe was her name), was amazing. She was young, vibrant and thorough with my cleaning. Even before i told her my issues, she had a list of questions to ask me (was i having jaw issues, grinding, any pains, etc.) I told her of some issues that i was having some issues, and she addressed them right away. After some small talk, she took a series of xrays. Typically, the contraption that dentists use are big, bulky and uncomfortable when they put it in your mouth. however, this wasn't so bad. in the awkward positions, she was gentle and took her time to make sure it was placed properly, and then took the xray quickly. afterwards, did the basic check on the gums, doing the typical 'poke and prod' and informed me of the areas that i had to work on. after that, we went to the cleaning. she was quick, thorough and was able to talk me through what she was doing the entire time. i used the mint toothpaste while doing the cleaning and it wasn't as nasty as some other flavors dentists have used in my past. Shortly afterwards, Dr. Dillon came into the room to do my check. I was absolutely stunned at how young, vibrant and happy she was. We had a lot in common, and I felt quite comfortable with her as soon as she walked in. She didn't seem overly serious and we were able to talk casually for a few minutes before doing the actual check up. After the check up was complete, she advised that i had a small cavity, and should get it filled. in addition, told me that i would need a dental nightgard, which i already knew (since i grind at night). Some great information was learned here, that most dentists get monies from the insurance companies then charge the patron the addtional monies that they don't receive. Here, they only take what the insurance has contracted to them. so, it will vary based on your insurances for your cleanings, cavities, fillings, etc. Overall, the facility was amazing, the staff was amazing and i would highly recommend this dentist practice to anyone and everyone i know.

My wife and I have an appointment today May 1, 2019 at Suwanee Dental Care. Our experience today…read morecan be best described as very displeasing. We went to this dental office for a free consultation. First, we requested that they send out the new patient paperwork via email two weeks before the appointment. That did not occur. The new patient paperwork was extremely to long. The paperwork focuses more on medical health than dental issues. Our VA medical doctor does not request this must information as patients. Secondly, after completing this paperwork we were given an office tour that was not needed. We did not come to tour the building. Thirdly, we provide current copies of both of our x-rays but was told that my wife still needs to pay $201.00 for an 3D CT scan. This was surprising because we have done several free consultations before were the 3D CT scan were performed free, especially when we have the 2D x-rays. We were very confrontable with our dialog with Dr. Chad Schalk, DMD. We believed that he was the right dentist that we needed because he explained our situation in the right matter. He kept it very simple. The problem mainly occurs after the Dr, left the office. The missing understanding was that my wife would need to pay an additional $89.00 more for an exam before being seen by a dentist and I would also need to pay an additional $89.00 for an exam before being seen. This information was nowhere on their website for free consultation. We did receive a treatment care plan for my wife which was not accurate because she was not seen by the dentist. It did not include all the work that is needed. We were disappointed with this experience. A three hours of waste time. We requested a copy of the 3D CT scan since they charge us $201.00. We had to wait 45 minutes before we could receive that. We believe that this office has the right dentists to perform the work, but the protocol procedure is very bad. We did not receive a free consultation. This was not what we expected.
