I was worried that because they are so big and have so many patients that it would just be a repeat of last year's physical. 9:00 AM on a Wednesday I was checked in, processed, weighed, measured, and set for Dr. Transue to pop in not 3 minutes after I'd sat my butt down in a comfy chair they had in the exam room for me. I had about 5+ health questions for her, of which she answered EVERY ONE. Before we did anything else. And took her time with it. Not only that, but every time I mentioned something that previous doctors had nothing to say about, she immediately knew what I was talking about and was able to diagnose all of my ailments. She clearly had the know-how when it came to every question I had and it seemed like she was really listening to me. Just a few days after my appointment, my nose piercing got infected and I knew I needed medication but didn't want to go all the way back to the doctor. So I emailed Dr. Transue about it--and within ONE DAY she emailed me back and had sent in a prescription to my pharmacy. Conclusively, Dr. Emily Transue is the best medical experience that I've had to date in Seattle. A great doctor is a very important thing, and I've found mine!

I have never felt so listened to, respected and thoroughly taken care of by another Dr. I have some questions that are a bit odd, she answers them honestly and straight forward. Some times I get a little emotional when I'm going through stuff and she just so happens to ask me about 'stuff' and she hands me the Kleenex box and listens and offers suggestions. On line is a great experience too, I had surgery with a completely different Dr. and a completely different facility but when I couldn't get a hold of them for advice and medication it was Dr. Transue that came to my rescue. When you're telling her things she is CONSTANTLY typing away in your record, at first I was a little concerned that she wasn't listening but the next visit 9ish months later she asked me follow up questions to things I had expressed concern about before. That sealed the deal.

When I have a health issue, she is very responsive to my input. We make decisions together. I am not told what to do; instead we discuss all of the options and come up with a plan. She also knows when to have my health issues looked at by a specialist. I have no angst when I schedule an appointment. I know that I will be receiving her best effort in my health care. I honestly don't have a negative thing to say about Lynne.

I switched to her as my OB when my previous OB left the practice. I'm so happy I did. She gives me all the information I need, took her time with me and makes me feel really relaxed and comfortable at every visit. Her personality isn't typical of most Doctors I've been to and I like that about her...not arrogant or condescending in the least (unlike what others have stated on other med. review sites). She was on-call when my Son was born in 2010 and I'm pretty sure she saved his life. He had decided to do acrobatics while I was in labor and went from the perfect positioning to transverse to sunny side up which caused his umbilical cord to wrap around his neck twice - very tightly. It was so tight that even though he was about to be all the way out, his cord chocked him and held him back. She, without hesitation was able to wiggle her fingers under the cord with just enough room to cut both loops free (this is what happened as told by my husband). She came and checked on us the next day and was genuinely concerned with how we were all doing. Also, the amazing L&D Nurse we had loves her and had nothing but good things to say about her. I have since seen her for an IUD, annual exams and my second pregnancy. She's been a wonder. I think when deciding on an OB-GYN one needs to be very choosy about personality and style, of not just the Dr you're checking out but the entire practice (all the Dr's there), to make sure it's a good fit.

That said, many of my chronic pain points were gone by the time I had awakened from surgery. Gone. I had a hot burning knife in my upper back (I called it my Demon because it tormented me so) and what felt like a hot burning ice pick in my neck, all on the right side. After many years of sleep deprivation both pain points were gone immediately - and never came back. That is what I call a successful surgery! My husband and I found Dr Raisis to be very friendly, respectful and great bedside manner. I am very, very picky about who my doctors are, and I immediately felt very comfortable with Dr Raisis. In the recovery room I heard staff talking about him, and they had nothing but good things to say about him. In my book, if medical staff speaks highly of a doctor, that is who I'm going too see! Dr Pritchett made a good choice!! Two wonderful doctors, and this morning, I'm sore but no real pain!! I was told to expect lots of pain post op...doesn't seem to be happening! And I credited those two doctors and the great staff at Swedish Ortho Insitiute!!

I don't live in Seattle anymore so this review is rather overdue, but I am currently reviewing my…read morerecords from Dr. Raisis and his colleague Dr. Steege, which reminded me I wanted to review them here. Dr. Raisis in particular was completely disinterested in my case; he was never receptive to anecdotes that would help explain my symptoms (in fact, he outright said he had never seen my particular issue in his career, when in fact it is a fairly common issue and relatively easy to see on diagnostic images, according to information I've gathered and surgeons I've met in the meantime). For a few years I defended him, saying that while his bedside manner was terrible, he was a good "mechanic." That changed when I was diagnosed and treated for a rare infection that Dr. Raisis had neglected to warn me was a possibility of the last surgery he had done on me. In fact, Dr. Steege had seen me while I was trying to get a diagnosis, and he correctly guessed what was wrong but dismissed me saying that couldn't be the case. By the time my infection was diagnosed, there was an imminent threat of kidney failure (yes, stemming from a neuro issue!). I would not recommend Dr. Raisis or his colleague Dr. Steege. Terrible customer service, and negligent doctors with little interest in cases they do not find compelling.

Love Pacific Medical Centers…read more Dr. Burdine - the exception. She is very unprofessional; overwhelmed easily; poorly educated and can't work the Pac Med computer systems. Referrals to other doctors were not made, as promised. We ended up having to call the referral doctor's office to make our appts. ourselves. Since the referrals were not sent by Dr. Burdine, various specialists had to call and get the referrals themselves. This is complete opposite of several other Pac Med doctors, who enter referrals, the referrals go through and those specialists actually called us to make appts. Inept, Dr. Burdine also can't enter basic blood work orders. When she finally entered the blood work request (a week later, after we went to the sight), she entered the blood work order while we waited. The blood work request was incorrect. The last straw was our last appt. In the middle of the appt., she left the exam room, saying she would be right back. Five minutes later, a young man came into the room and handed us our paperwork. She was done - while she knew I still had questions. She just abruptly left the room, with no intentions of returning - yet she said "I'll be right back." Then there is her nurse...rude and not happy to be working at Pacific Medical Center. My husband and I have found great doctors at the Canyon Park location. Dr. Burdine's medical expertise is highly questionable. Her ability to use their referral and ordering tests systems - well, she can't get it right. We conclude she simply doesn't know how to use the Pacific Medical computer system. This is as basic as it gets. She also gave us bad information on the doctors she "referred" us to. Dr. Burdine is incompetent both medically and working within the Pac Med system.

She is very caring, listens well, and takes time during the appointments to truly get to the bottom of things. Most doctors I've been to are in a rush, but Dr. Kimball always makes me feel like she really cares about me and my health.

She put me on meds which…read morehad some pretty strong (and completely expected) side-effects, but when I told her I was having them she dismissed my claim and told me I wasn't. I believed her and stayed on the meds for about 9 months, before having to go off temporarily for unrelated reasons. Lo and behold, the side effects I "wasn't having" went away. I am still suffering and recovering from the long period of those side effects. If she had taken the time to talk with me, or made me feel like I could ask her questions without annoying her and wasting her time, this could have been avoided. Her dismissive attitude was fairly common. She seemed like she wanted to move me through as fast as possible, either by throwing medicine at me, dismissing my concerns, or sending me to another doctor. I stopped going to her, and do not recommend her. I just felt dumb every time I saw her, like I was being a burden. Hopefully there are better doctors out there...

I just had Dr. Swenson for a Clavicle repair...from a snowboarding accident…read more Getting an appointment was no problem, and the appointment was on-time when I got there. The appointment was not long but covered what needed to be covered....an official diagnosis, a quick follow-up of the injury, my options (surgery or self-heal), and a prescription for pain medication. When I selected to have surgery it was quickly scheduled for the next day, I was given all the information I wanted about the surgery and what to expect, I was then directed to the hospital finalize the scheduling and provide my insurance info. Dr. Swenson did the surgery and thus far it is a success. My pain is down, my movement is up, and every day feels better. I am out of a sling in less than one week and I have plans on snowboarding less than a month after the surgery!

I waited over an hour to meet…read morewith my doctor, which is no big deal in the long run because I understand that stuff happens and appointments run late. However, my major complaint is how insanely difficult it is to get the scheduling process for imaging exams taken care of. My insurance requires authorization for MRI, the authorization was approved by the ins company, I was given the authorization code, an insurance rep three way called the imaging office with it as well, and still, no one can schedule me because they want a particular person in the office to give them the exact same auth code that I was given. Huge hassle. I have worked in the medical field for over 5 years, so I truly understand that every office has their own way of doing things, but this is ridiculous. This is the hardest time I've had scheduling any type of appointment - EVER. At this point I feel like I should just go to the ER and request an MRI seeing they make it dang near impossible to schedule in an outpatient setting. Good doctors here, so don't let this scare you off. But do yourself a favor and bypass the imaging center downstairs and go to another outpatient imaging center with your order in hand. You'll save a lot of time and headache.
