Many of the stories discussed how much bloody drainage there was, how miserable you would be. This was not the case. After having the surgery with Dr. Chu, I didn't need to wear gauze on my face, I did not have to have packing, and I did not have to spend the night. It was the best scenario possible given the circumstances. At this time, i still have plastic splints in my nose which will be in for 14 days, and stitches in place, but I am already feeling that my sinuses are more open. I would highly recommend him!

It's shocking these days, doctors being "nice and sweet" has been the golden standard instead of medical caliber, Dr Liubov has both, but what I value is her medical caliber.

I had testicular cancer that metastasized to my spine, my T-6 vertebrae. I had Dr. Peter Nora as my…read moreback surgeon. What happened to me was that my T-6 had to be removed. Thanks to the cancer, I have a permanent partial spinal cord injury. Dr. Nora did an OUTSTANDING job on my back. The T-6 was replaced with a titanium spool that was encased in bone and titanium rods were placed in my back (thoracic region). I am alive, thriving, and walking today (19 years later) because of Dr. Nora's outstanding work. Thank you, Doctor, for your outstanding skill.

I was referred to her by my dermatologist…read morecouple years ago and was so pleased with the outcome of the surgery that I requested to be referred specifically to her again. Both visits to Dr. Gorman were to remove skin cancer, one area on my head and one area on my chest. To this day I can not find the area where she operated on my head (i.e. no scar but I know there were 20+ stitches). This time Dr. Gorman removed the skin cancer, stitched up my chest and specifically told me to come back for a follow up appointment "a week from Thursday", which was approx. two weeks later. I arrived for my appointment 10 minutes early and was the only patient in the waiting room. Eventually other patients came and were taken back before me. Fifteen minutes past my appointment time I was taken back to a room where I sat alone for an hour. I should have left. Finally I was seen by some other physician and was told that Dr. Gorman is never in the Bellevue office on Thursdays. Why then did she tell me to come back on Thursday, so she could remove the stitches? Why did her staff schedule me to come on Thursday without telling me that Dr. Gorman will not even be there? Dr. Gorman has a policy for patients who don't show up for their appointment, stating a $50 fee will be charged if you don't show up for your appointment. I'm thinking she owes me $50 - never mind the fact that I had to wait an hour past my scheduled appointment time to be seen by a stranger. I'm having an issue with the incision site and feel like I simply am not important enough to be taken care of. I assure you that I will be billed for having been seen by "Dr. I have no clue what her name is" and leaving the office definitely with unresolved issues. I knew I should have just walked out. Now I guess I need to find a doctor who will give me an explanation of what is going on and take care of my incision site problem. All that to say - in the past Dr. Gorman's skill as a MOHS Surgeon was impressive but a patient should never experience such absentee aftercare.

I don't recommend Dr. Chi…read more As a petite woman, I weigh 92 pounds and stand at 4 feet 10 inches tall. My shoe size is 5. Dr. Chi performed toe fusion on me, but the screw he placed was far too big for my foot. My big toe didn't heal properly, causing me constant pain and I was unable to walk properly because the head of the screw was right below my skin at the front of my toe. He did not inform me ahead of time the size of the screw, and if he had, I would have chosen another option or doctor. For ten months after Dr. Chi's surgery, I was in constant pain and had difficulty walking. The bones were not healing. I asked him about other bone healing options and stem cell treatment, but he dismissed those. He told me unrelated scare stories, and told me he would do another surgery instead to take the pin out, perform a bone graft to fix the issue, then replace the pin. He also told me he didn't support the bone healing machine, that he didn't believe that stem cell treatment is a viable option. Instead he pushed another surgery or agreed to PRP treatment, which I have since discovered only works on tendons and ligaments, not bones. I switched doctors, and ended up having stem cell treatment, and that healed the bone. Then I had another surgery to remove the screw, using an extensive bone graft to fill the hole. More time, and lots more money to correct the surgery done by Dr Chi.

I met Dr. Pappas last week in Seattle. He was taking care of my mother who had a very, very…read moreserious surgery. My family and I were extremely pleased by the high level of care our mother received from Dr. Pappas. He is an excellent physician - and has a kind and attentive manner. We had a lot of questions for him and he answered each one with patience and kindness. He treated my mother with respect and made sure everything was being taken care of as she was being monitored and cared for post surgery. This is a 5 star physician!!

While Dr. Pappas is okay as a pulmonologist, I have to say that his office staff (NW Hospital…read moreoffice) and business practices are the worst I have encountered. His office manager, Jennifer, asked for my insurance information well ahead of my appointment. Knowing what services would likely be needed, based upon a discussion of why I was coming in, she claimed she contacted the insurance company and called me back to state that everything would be covered (Regence Blue Shield). When I came in for the appointment, I asked again, including the mention of lab services (NW Hospital). She said it was all going to be covered, sans my required co-pay. Well. . . . . . .I am still being harrassed by NW Hospital and by Dr. Pappas' medical billng staff, as that relatively short office visit, with some blood drawn at NW for labs, totals almost $2,000.00 and I am on my third level of appeal with Regence. NW Hospital turned over the matter to collections at some company in Renton that has been calling me at work and making threatening phone calls. Dr. Pappas did write a letter of support to challenge the insurance refusal to cover any aspects of his treatment or the labs, but he has failed to change the billing code to be consistent with the position he takes in the challenge letter! So, his letter is, essentially, useless. The worst part of this debacle is, that the office manager knew I could have waited a couple of weeks to come in (non-urgent), and then I would have been fully covered by my new employer's group health coverage. I have offered to pay what would have been the co-pay amounts, if Regence had really covered the visit, but Dr. Pappas' business manager refuses to even consider this and simply demands the full retail amount at once. This is another example of an okay physician, using people with poor judgement and poor people-skills to manage the business and operations end of their practice. I would never return to him because of his office staff!
