They have wine and mimosas along with sodas and water and next month, he told me they'll be having cocktail drinks...anyways, I came in for a fill in with clear gel (cause of work stating we need clear and no color for a bit) and a fill on my toes (have acrylic from the last salon jacking up my toes). Two Cambodian nail techs were working on me which I absolutely LOVED because I'm Cambodian and not from this state so it's nice to be around people you can relate to... We made jokes about me getting a Korean billionaire since I'm always watching K-dramas and we talked about our history and the current war going on between Thailand & Cambodia. I have one difficult, thick nail that some places refuse to cut. They did not mention it here at all on both occasions that I went, they just cut it. On this occasion, I asked the male manicurist not to cut the cuticles, but to just push them back.. He did not listen to me and continued to cut the cuticles. He drew blood three times on my toes. Since I am on blood thinners, the bleeding did not stop immediately, but took swiping and cleaning several times. I did not carry on or repeat my requirements, but I do have autoimmune diseases, and I am hyper vigilant about not wanting to get infections. Also, on the manicure, there was no rubbing lotion or anything on my hands or arms, all he really did was put the polish on. I asked that he did not cut my nails, as I had already done that, and he did follow my request of not cutting the cuticles. I like this salon because there is not a heavy odor of acrylics and polish. They do use good-quality and sanitary products. I will continue to go to the salon, and make my requirements more thorough, and insist that "no cutting the cuticles" be adhered to. Janette greeted me as soon as I walked in and attended to my request. She is awesome!! I almost went to sleep in the plush massage chair while she massaged my legs. They have several services - manicures, pedicures, waxing, and lashes. They must also serve espresso because they have that set up behind the nail bar. (A small bottle of water would have been nice.) I don't know I they have type of points system for discounts with repeat visits. They don't have an over abundance of colors to choose from; only 2 pages of examples in 2 different books. They try to look high end on a budget and it looks nice. When I sat down somehow I cracked my iced coffee drink and it was running all over the floor and seat. They were quick with towels and another cup to absorb the rest. Super great. I was a lil embarrassed, but they made me feel very comfortable. They got us started and my gal was quick and thorough. She cleaned up my toe nails better than I've had in a long time! She was a bit aggressive but dang... my toes look and feel great!!! I guess since we did not do a polish they massaged us longer. It was wonderful. My gal was a bit strong on the massage so I asked her to soften up and she did, the rest of the time was perfect pressure. We understand that accidents happen, but there was no sincerity or offer to reduce price or make it better. When I called they told me to come right in and I was really happy they were able to take me last minute. This has continued to be the case, as they seem to always have availability. I THINK I may have found a few salon to go to! It's super clean inside, as well as the bathrooms and they have beautiful artwork! Also, the first time I went there my daughter came with me and she was happy with everything as well. She was in need of a whole charger and one of the techs let them use hers which I thought was very sweet and so not expected but I did appreciate it and so did she! They have a wide variety of colors, I'm not sure of how intricate they are with being able to do designs though. Now onto my nails, they do pretty good, I think the prices are just about what you will find in other places. The last time before last however I went and I wanted to get a French manicure but the guy said he couldn't do it without the top of my nail showing, but I wasn't using tips so I wasn't sure why that was, also my nail broke that same day but I went back a few days later and they fixed it for nothing! That is why I think this might be my new salon because they took care of me quickly with no issues and everyone in there seems nice, they start up conversation and I don't feel out of place there. There set up is also quite beautiful so I love going in there because of that as well and they have free wifi! One issue that I could see happenings is they have a small parking lot that's shared with other businesses, but I've never had a problem, so it hasn't bothered me.
