I used to be a repeat customer here for YEARS. Never had a bad experience whatsoever until the other day. I walk in and want a pedicure and to get nails. Pedicure was good except she gave me the wrong color, I told her I wanted a pure white (which wasn't on the color wall) so I gave her a pink instead, but saw she had a white on her cart so told her I wanted that instead. She said she would and still painted the wrong color on, whatever. I then sat down to get my nails done, and this is where it started getting bad. I show the guy what I wanted but he was too busy looking at his phone he didn't even see. I told him I wanted short nails because next time i came i wanted to do overlay, but my nails were barely too short to do them this time. He precedes to cut my nails SUPER short even though I asked him not too then also puts the tips too short. The entire time he was working on my nails, he was on his phone and not paying any sort of attention to my nails whatsoever. Half way through, he gets up and walks out for about 5 minutes before coming back and telling me to go to this other lady to finish my nails. The other lady does my "design" and then precedes to check me out. My nails were $55. (see the pic below). I am angry because the girl who payed before me had much longer nails on but were only $50. They continued to tell me it was this much because of the "design" that was put into it. A line. Once i got home and started looking closer at my nails and my toes, I notice my toe nail has a piece of hair in it. Now a couple days later my nail is starting to hurt like an infection is starting. Very disappointed in this nail salon and will NEVER be returning. Be aware of who's doing your nails and make sure proper sanitation is being done cause clearly it wasn't done for me. I needed to refresh a powder dip manicure. I requested the same pink & white I got last time I was as here. The young man working on this holiday weekend asked if I wanted gel or artificial or what. I showed him my grown out nails and said I'd like this type again, powder. I specified repeatedly that I did not want fake nails glued on, that I needed short nails. The older woman who did my nails was the young man's mother, he said, and he would help translate if I had any questions. She repeatedly urged me to try glue-on extensions. I said no thanks, no fake nails, just powder dip ones as was done previously. After shaving off the remaining old nails (and gouging open the skin on my pinkie in the process), she brought out the tray of fake nails and again urged me to let her glue them on. Three times she asked, three times I said no thanks, just powder. She commenced measuring and glueing on the fake tips, so I figured she had a plan I was as unaware of. After the fake tips were glued on, she trimmed them to a length that was far too long. I asked for more to be trimmed, repeating that I want short nails. Two more times she trimmed the fake tips and asked if the length was good. Each time I said no, still too long. She retrimmed two more times until barely anything was left of the fake tips. That is when her attitude started -- shaking her head, muttering, roughly snipping off the fake tips nearly back to the quick. By the third finger, I could see she was taking way too much off in a passage aggressive attempt to communicate her disapproval of the shortness. At that point I just said thanks, I'm done here, and stood to leave. The woman's son asked if everything was alright. I said no; I told him I had repeatedly stated the service I wanted and was repeatedly steered away from that. I paid for the cost of her time and the set of false tips, then went to another salon, DeNails in The Village Shops, where Jacob was able to give me the service I requested, first soaking off the remaining fake tips. The young man was in a difficult position, in between me (a paying regular customer) and his mother (clearly frustrated with my request because she had a different vision). How to calm his mother's frustration and meet the customer's request? He was most apologetic, said the owner would repair my manicure when he returned from the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. I explained I was leaving town Monday so I needed to find another salon to repair the damage and complete the manicure that day. Thank goodness Jacob at DeNails heard what I wanted and was able to do that for me, especially as I was a walk-in. read more

Came to this salon and had nails done yesterday. One nail broke before the end of the day. Can back to get nail repaired and the man only wanted to put on a clear coat and didn't want to repair the crack. When asked to totally repair the nail the man got very aggressive started screaming at me in my face and intentionally cutting me while filing my nails. I decided to stop the service and leave and a different man followed me out demanding I speak to him. He continued to yell and berate me. I informed him if he came any closer I would alert authorities. These men were aggressive and rude. I will not be back here again and I wanted to let other women know how they treat college aged females. They kept telling me I was a student and in a hurry. 1. Classes haven't started 2. I had all day and 3. They literally angrily followed me out. I was super uncomfortable with the whole interaction. I do not recommend them at all read more
