Based on the only other review here for River City Cab, I decided to call them and get a quote for the fare to the airport if they picked me up at 4AM..... I am calling from Pacific coast time zone, so my call to them was at 1:15AM their time on a Sunday/Monday (obviously not a great time to call and get a quote, but only time I had to do it!) Missy was friendly, professional, knew exactly where my pick up location was and was not hesitant to give me a very reasonable quote for the trip. I'm already impressed even before I get there!

The worst. Went to pickup a truck I rented for three days online. I called the phone number listed on the website to confirm, as well as sent a text to the text line. No answer. Only response I got was a new email from John (who I believe to be the only employee of the company), telling me it would actually be twice as much. I cancelled my credit card after reading the reviews on here, and thankfully I did, because after turning down the nearly doubled offer, John attempted to charge my card for the full amount. I used to have to be at work at 3 or 4 AM every day, and I would reserve my cabs for the night before, but the company didn't care about that and would ignore my calls or say I never made a reservation. The app they have is a joke and should never be in use, and the dispatchers act like they don't care about you or your trips. I rode with them for 4 years, and 70% of my trips were terrible. The only way I even got to work on time most of the time was by having a specific driver who actually made an effort. I now got promoted at work and make almost 4 times what I was making before. Had they treated me with a bit of respect and not have been rude almost every time they came to get me, I'd have kept using them and would have been a happy and loyal customer. Now I just Uber and tip my drivers as much as I can. Guess you shouldn't have said you don't have time to take some grocery worker to the store and that your driver have better things to do. Also, if anyone is wondering why this place is still in business, it's only because they pick up medical patients for morning trips and bill it to they're insurance. The drivers don't get paid for the trips for weeks or even months, and that's even if the company bothers to pay them since they control that flow of info. I hope this was informative. Don't ride with these scammers; they aren't worth your time, Uber's gonna put them out of business soon enough, they couldn't care less about the customers, the owners suck, and all of the drivers hate the company as well. Don't give these people your money; they view people that aren't medical patients as nothing more than low income peions because you can't afford a car and dared to try to get to work on time. If you still don't trust uber and just prefer cabs, then just pick Big Daddy Cabs. My brother used to ride with them, and from the 4 trips I've had, I was treated a lot better and given an honest estimate on if they could get me a ride and how soon it would take. The Peoria area doesn't need this cab company anymore; they don't serve the community and only want to line they're pockets with money from insurance companies.
