Made an automated point to point reservation on their sister website and received confirmation of the booking via email. I called the phone number listed on the website to confirm, as well as sent a text to the text line. No answer. Only response I got was a new email from John (who I believe to be the only employee of the company), telling me it would actually be twice as much. I cancelled my credit card after reading the reviews on here, and thankfully I did, because after turning down the nearly doubled offer, John attempted to charge my card for the full amount. If you ever wondered why Cab companies are going out of business, then look no further than Yellow Checker Cab! I used to have to be at work at 3 or 4 AM every day, and I would reserve my cabs for the night before, but the company didn't care about that and would ignore my calls or say I never made a reservation. The app they have is a joke and should never be in use, and the dispatchers act like they don't care about you or your trips. I rode with them for 4 years, and 70% of my trips were terrible. The only way I even got to work on time most of the time was by having a specific driver who actually made an effort. I now got promoted at work and make almost 4 times what I was making before. Had they treated me with a bit of respect and not have been rude almost every time they came to get me, I'd have kept using them and would have been a happy and loyal customer. Now I just Uber and tip my drivers as much as I can. Guess you shouldn't have said you don't have time to take some grocery worker to the store and that your driver have better things to do. Also, if anyone is wondering why this place is still in business, it's only because they pick up medical patients for morning trips and bill it to they're insurance. The drivers don't get paid for the trips for weeks or even months, and that's even if the company bothers to pay them since they control that flow of info. I hope this was informative. Don't ride with these scammers; they aren't worth your time, Uber's gonna put them out of business soon enough, they couldn't care less about the customers, the owners suck, and all of the drivers hate the company as well. Don't give these people your money; they view people that aren't medical patients as nothing more than low income peions because you can't afford a car and dared to try to get to work on time. If you still don't trust uber and just prefer cabs, then just pick Big Daddy Cabs. My brother used to ride with them, and from the 4 trips I've had, I was treated a lot better and given an honest estimate on if they could get me a ride and how soon it would take. Yellow Checker Cab. The can was over an hr late. Driver was nice but smelled of booze and cab had a lingering scent of marijuana. I had a fam emergency at 3am on a sat night. When I called to check on the cabs arrival time dispatcher was very rude. He cussed at me and the 2nd time he just hung up on me. Driver tried to get my number in front of my 3yr old daughter. He also asked some sexually explicit questions. The whole experience was a nightmare. I would not let this company drive a stray dog to the pound. Horrible people horrible company. Me and my daughter took BIG DADDY cab back home later that morning. They r way better then Yellow checker by far. read more

Called this company and dispatcher was rude and short on the phone. I asked for and estimated time of arrival and he told me ten mins I called back after thirty min and and asked him what's going on and he told me that he never have me an estimated time when he clearly did and told me good luck with my cab. The worst experience of my life. I arranged this ride a week in advance, and they still showed up thirty minutes late. When I called for a ride home, they said they were understaffed and it would be ninety minutes before they could come get me. Stranded me in downtown Peoria. Worst cab experience I've ever had. Our driver disregarded our requests to take a certain route to our destination. He was speeding 65 mph on Knoxville, which has speed limits of 40 and 45 mph. Even after we asked the driver to slow down, he would not and continued driving recklessly. When I called the next day to complain about the experience and ask for a refund, the manager was extremely rude, complaining that he was busy and didn't have time to answer any more of my concerns, and said he wouldn't do anything about it other than tell their driver to slow down. This company is absolutely horrible and does not not care about their customers at all. I pre-ordered a cab two days early to pick me up at 7:30pm and told them it was important that they be on time. I was assured that they would be. By 7:45 they were still not there, so I called and was told that the cab would be there soon and I shouldn't have expected them to be on time and then the dispatch guy threatened to cancel the cab entirely when I said that was very unprofessional. By 8pm he STILL hadn't arrived even though I got the text saying he had. I called back and was told that the driver said he'd already come and got me, which is a flat out lie since NO taxi ever showed up. He said he'd send another. Fifteen more minutes went by and by that time the city bus came back around so I ended up just taking that which meant I didn't get home til 8:45. My son is autistic and his bedtime schedule is important and by your VERY unprofessional and RUDE company not being on time like I was told they would be, ruined the night for my son and I. Incredibly rude, I will NEVER use yellow checker cab again and I will leave an honest review on every possible venue. I'm sure some of the drivers are good people but this company has horrible customer service and I really hope Uber puts them out of business. read more
