I wanted to find a family owned local business, I ran into steam Kings online and encountered lots of great reviews. It was very easy and convenient to make a booking online, if I had questions I was able to reach out and get answered in a timely fashion. I received Email Confirmation a day prior to my upcoming appointment as a friendly reminder in the morning of, I got an email as well as a text message confirming the appointment. Tim arrived on time in a noticeably marked well kept company vehicle. He followed my instructions as to where to park. He was made aware that I do have two indoor cats which he said he loves cats. Tim was very professional appropriately dressed in a company logo shirt. He was respectful of my property. He worked with me in regards to a pricing change Which was very much appreciated. He did not have to do that that was above and beyond his service. I asked him about the product he was using which he said was an all green product because I wanted to make sure it was safe for my cat and he said it was safe for everything. I'm sure if I wanted to know more detail about what he was using. He would have provided that he also provided us with some booties to wear in our property. Once the cleaning was finished not to track in stuff on our freshly clean carpets. I had one area of concern which was right by our door and I pointed that out to him and upon completion there is nothing you can see but a normal wear mark from the door. Update as of 11/21/10:…read more Per my last paragraph I'm amending my review to update it to 5 stars. All the details are finalized and the fit/finish is fantastic. Couldn't be happier. Although it looks like the Yelp over zealous filter struck another one of my reviews....this one. If you are reading this, I am not a robot!!! ******************************************************* Ok, this deserves some background... I had been looking at remodeling my kitchen for about 2 years before finally pulling the trigger and deciding to invest in the upgrade. Remodeling a kitchen I learned (or any other part of your house I guess) is daunting and I wanted to make sure I was ready for it. Bottom line: 1. I'm happy I decided to do so and 2. I'm really happy I went with Advanced Custom (more on this later). My kitchen was in rough shape, the previous owners didn't take good care of the original wood flooring and the linoleum counter tops were coming up at the edges and just plain outdated. The main goal was to redo the cabinets (wish I had snapped pics of the before cabinets) as they were falling apart at the seams...errr hinges. When I first began my search for a someone to do the work I went straight to the web. I found a couple potential suitors and talked to most of them including ACC. When I called ACC I ended up talking to the owner on several occasions as he explained the process, options I had, pricing, timetable, etc. he also provided samples, look books, throughout the entire process. ACC wasn't the only place I was considering but I had the best interaction with them and their price point was on target for what I wanted done. I did however come to Yelp and saw their lone review and inquired about it. Wayne was upfront in addressing this and apparently the woman who wrote the review purchased her cabinets from a different owner of ACC 5+ years ago, but has since been extended the option to fix the issue. This comforted me and I decided to go with ACC. Part of what I really liked and appreciated in the whole process was the benefit of using their customization -- I had unlimited choices of wood and finish. For instance, I was able to color match the stain color on my red birch wood with the gloss on the finish to exactly what looked the best. One of the potential hurdles that caused me the most stress was the beams on my ceiling and vent ducting along a section of the wall where the cabinets were to go. There ended up being no issues as the guys were able to customize to make it work and look perfect. Everyone at ACC was pleasant and easy to work with, from Wayne to the installers and all those in between --They all get my recommendation. I'm only giving 4 stars as of now because there is still some alignments, tweaks and hardware to be installed (door pulls). Once everything is in and finished with I'll come back to amend this review.

Company has repainted once but it's time to do it again(although you should never be in this situation). Company decided not to support any further work on my cabinets which pushed me over the edge to publish this review. Company repainted once as they recognized the severity of the situation and now it's time to do it AGAIN! They say NO. I had no problem giving him $2500 of the $3300 we agreed to do the job, materials and labor because I had used him once before. He came down, looked at the space and gave me a price. The only stipulation was that he had to get the complete job done in 5 days, starting on a Monday so I could be back working that following Saturday. He agreed. Monday he never showed. Tuesday he never showed. He finally showed Wednesday night, still saying it would be done Friday by doing 2 coats a day. He said like my old location I would need 5-7 coats. He did 1 coat Wednesday, 1 coat Thursday and on Friday he only coated about 60% of the floor and that was the last time he's been in. He told me that I need to give him more money or he's not finishing. I explained that as a business owner, if he quotes a job too low he's gotta still complete the job but learn from it. He called me screaming at me telling me I took advantage of him but he physically came to the building just days prior to give me a quote. A quote that I didn't even talk him down in. I just agreed even though it was quite a bit higher than the exact same job that was 500sqft smaller than he did prior for me. Larger building overall but his job was much smaller.

We're in the process of having a kitchen and bathroom floor done by Ed's. The first day the…read moreinstaller showed up with only part of the materials. He installed the kitchen flooring into the bathroom. When he realized mistake, he took it up. He was done by late morning. He had some of the kitchen floor but not enough to do the whole kitchen. He didn't have any of the material to do the bathroom floor. So he left for the day. He wasn't sure of all the material had come into the storehouse or not Since it was only half a day at the house, I would have expected him to go back to the store to see if the material was in the storehouse . Maybe even return to get some of the flooring done on Friday. We had the plumber come in that morning to removed the toilet , they were scheduled to return in the afternoon to reinstall the toilet.We had to call and cancel him and tentatively reschedule him for Monday. Since it was a Friday, we had all of our kitchen and bathroom closet items stored in our living room for the weekend. Sunday, the installer did show up and correctly put in the bathroom floor and started the kitchen floor. Our bathroom floor is the vinyl that looks like stone and it's a grey tone. They installed a bright white molding around the flooring. It clashes and looks awful. The strip they put between the bathroom and the hallway door matches perfectly . When we requested the white molding be taken out and replaced some that matched the floor like the color of the strip in the doorway. We were told they would look around around and see if they had anything in the warehouse, I am sure that they're not going to find anything just hanging around the warehouse. If they don't have anything, they would have try to find something matching, and it would cost us extra. When we hired them to install the floor we assumed that it would be done with matching materials. Now we're being told we have to pay extra. Since we did not get a discount on the floor or a sale or anything else, I don't feel we should have to pay another cent to have the floor install correctly with matching materials . That's a discussion. we have to have later today with the manager. It's noon time Monday and they may have to come back another day to finish the floor. We told them we needed it done before Tuesday because we were having company on Tuesday. We assumed most of the work would have been done on Friday and just finishing touches on Monday. I won't know until I get home from work if they've completed the installation. I wished I had read some of the reviews , which had several negative comments about the installation. Of flooring they did. Overall, I'm just not pleased with the service , the installation or the communication I'll have to wait to see how this gets resolved but I would never recommend them or have them again.
