Love this place! My dog, Bubba, loves coming here…read more Staff are friendly and very accommodating. They gave me a tour of the facility when I first came here and assured me that they would cater to my dogs needs (as he is a high-level energy dog). They paired him up with a friend so they could play when they were let out into their fenced yard. They also have an indoor play area for the dogs. When I came back from my trip they even gave him a complimentary bath with nails and fur trimmed! Most recently I did a LAST minute booking and they were happy to fit Bubba. Seriously, these people are the best. Been coming here ever since and my dog lovesssss the ladies that work there!

My pups are always excited to see their buddies at Rondivills (both of the two-legged and four-legged variety) and are always clean, happy, healthy, and tired out from all the socializing (in a good way) when I pick them up. On at least three different occasions one of the dogs has had a limited diet, been on medication, or had an injury that needed to be bandaged and with prior communication Rondivills was always able to accommodate their needs. I am grateful to the wonderful animal-loving staff here for treating my pups like family and making sure they are comfortable, healthy and safe while in Rondivills' care.

The results were awesome, and have made my life easier too because our dog has started to look at me as the leader. I trust Mimi wholeheartedly to look after my dog and I also trust her to tell me the truth. The advice she has given me in regards to my dogs behavior has worked every time. Highly recommend!

Worst dog daycare I've ever used!! Not only is this "business" run inside the owner's own home,…read morebut they have had to shutdown at least once due to giardia outbreak. For those effected, some of the dogs may have gotten sick, having diarrhea issues or worse. Granted it was possible some else's dog had it, but what kind of daycare doesn't clean enough to maintain a clean environment for our loved ones. Don't count on your dog being able to be playful either. If there is any possibility that the dogs might play with each other and become a bit vocal, they are shutdown and put away in crates for a "time out" until their bad behavior is over. This more like a POW Camp than a day care of dogs. Leave your dogs here at your own risk! If they do something wrong, the owner will try to make you pay for damage from the dogs not being supervised and taken care of. Read that contract before you sign up and ask if you can view the areas your pets will be in. You might be able to at the end of the day, but that's so you don't see what happens during normal business hours.

Wowie. Where to begin! We have been taking our dog here for years, and he loves the staff here just…read moreas much as day one. We have used both the daycare and boarding services with no issues at all, staff are very detail oriented, handle medication administration with such professionalism and our dog always comes back in great condition. Staff: The team here is responsive, responsible and always friendly. They have accommodated our many detailed requests in terms of medications, and feeding our dog. They are so patient as we are always experimenting with weird things like adding probiotics/different cooked food mixes, toppers etc. they label everything, and even return containers cleaned! Picture updates are provided (although I wish there were some videos because we are so curious what our doggo gets up to while we are away). Honestly we have never had a bad interaction with anyone on the team. Space: They do split dogs between larger sized breeds and smaller, and the space is absolutely gorgeous, clearly designed with dogs in mind. Take a tour and see for yourself! Dogs are not left alone overnight. There is staff at all times and this was a big draw for why we chose Rex for boarding. There is also outdoor space complete with water activities and things to play with- again another reason we chose Rex. it can be difficult to find a daycare that offers outdoor space in Vancouver! It is also worth mentioning my doggo has never been returned to us with any cleanliness issues. I will note if your dog doesnt like sleeping in an open group environment you might need to pay a bit more for a more private sleeping format. Pricing:Pricing has always been very transparent. You can look on the website and find it listed clearly. I think it's comparable to similar facilities. There are some surcharges for boarding at peak times (ie. $15/night for Christmas) but I think thats understandable. In addition there are fees for medication administration (5 bucks/day) and a deposit (that goes towards your booking) to reserve boarding over stat holidays, but these have always been clear upfront, and staff are responsive to emails/happy to provide quotes before booking so you know exactly what to expect. We don't find the pricing to be unreasonable or ever a surprise although we haven't jumped on the daycare club card discount they offer ($390 for 10 full days) just because it can be lot up of upfront cost for a total 10 dollar discount minimum. However, it's worth noting club cards have no expiry and are totally refundable and likely make sense for other people who maybe take their doggo more regularly than us. Honestly, we once bought a half day card and totally forgot we had it! We were reminded by diligent staff! Most importantly:When we bring our doggo he is always excited and just immediately runs to the staff who are there to greet him. We think he truly adores the staff and his furry friends at Rex. We honestly have no complaints! I'm sure each dog is different so we can only speak to our own experience, but Rex has been great for us so far. If you are considering this place I'd say you really have got nothing to lose checking them out!

Please don't use this for day care or boarding. Ours was a horror story!…read more Please please google the name Tara Wuennenberg and Muttley's Canine Training Winnipeg for yourself before booking with her. I love dogs. Always have and always will. Sometimes they break your heart when you have to say goodbye. Sometimes it's for other reasons. I just want the world to know Ted's and Molly's story. They deserve to be heard. We bought Molly, a Berne doodle from a back yard breeder at the end of COVID. She was skittish and scared of her own shadow, but she was never hostile or aggressive. Until the horrible time, when we decided to put her in overnight care with somebody, we thought we trusted, her former trainer. We were also at that time taking Tara's dog for lengthy periods of time. He was also a doodle and the sweetest little guy imaginable. I should have twigged in to how bad things were for him as every time we returned him, he would latch onto my hand, almost like begging us not to send him back. Then we went house hunting on the island and had Tara look after Maggie and Molly at her shop, which mu husband had spent hours building for her! When we came to pick her up, Molly was missing her leash and her collar. Again, we should have twigged in that maybe she was being kept elsewhere or? Once home our nervous Molly changed completely in personality. Where once I could feed her by hand, she was aggressively biting me every time I did. If anything was left on the floor, she would attack you over it. She bit Len badly and he ended up with sepsis and we had such a horrible hospital experience over it. I went to various vets, all who told me that they didn't believe in euthanasia for such a young dog and that she should be rehomed to another family. This I could not morally or ethically do. She was too dangerous to say the least. One night out of nowhere, she attacked me on the couch. Thank goodness for a good friend who contacted her vet about the situation. When I saw him, I explained to him what had gone on. He said Molly was too dangerous to be rehomed and nothing we could do could ever change her. The fact of the biting meant we could never trust her. No amount of training or meds could undo the damage that had been done to her at the daycare center. So we came to the horrible decision of putting her down. Meanwhile my husband went through months of rehab, learning how to walk and recover from the draining after effects of the sepsis. We went through months of hell as a result. Now fast forward to a night this past August. We got a message from Tara asking if we could come and get Ted as her landlords were wanting him gone. We thought maybe this was a noise problem. Getting there we soon learned differently. Her landlords told us that she was looking after other dogs as well as Teddy in a coach apartment. NONE of the dogs was being walked or pottyed outside the apartment! They did a check of the apartment and discovered that they weren't being fed or watered either. When I saw Teddy, my heart just broke. He was muzzled and looked like he came from a Third World country. I contacted a rescue person I know and she is actively trying to help the landlords with an SPCA complaint and the cops as well. We can't take Teddy given all the stuff that has gone on, especially with a pup and a senior citizen dog too in our care. He will need a lot of rehab and I think the SPCA is the best agency to help him. I have cried and cried over this and wished that I had seen the signs earlier and done something about it. It would have made things better for both Teddy and Molly!
