I like that their Starbucks carries the Discovery series mugs that I collect for my partner. And they had different versions. For some reason, I didn't expect to have to catch a shuttle to get my rental car. So, you should plan for that. Once you get your luggage, you'll have to follow the signs to an area across the arrival/departure roads, down the escalator, and to your designated area. There's plenty of signage. The bus/shuttle ride is about 15-20 minutes away. I also like the number of commuter counters they have. You know, those high-top tables where you can pull out your laptop and work, those. They had several throughout the airport.

The terminal is always clean, there are options for eating and drinking and also travel shops for purchases pre or post flight. The terminal is way long so they have a tram that will take you from one end to the other. A nice feature if you have a disability, small children, or are just lazy and don't like to walk. I walk, get those steps and stay fit. Flying home tonight on a Delta flight back to vegas. It's a little stormy, so it should be a bumpy ride. Think space mountain at Disney for about the same cost, but a way longer ride.

I've traveled all major airlines and I have to say by far Delta is the best. From the ambience on the plane to the entertainment. Overall most aspects of my flights have been very pleasing. I will say the one opportunity I see is customer service. I worked for a company that prioritizes customer service and safety. I am very in tune with the delicate balance between the two. Having flown Delta for several years and prior to retiring I was diamond with them. I will say my customer service experience has been about 50-50. On our last trip, we flew from Phoenix to Miami with a layover in Detroit. We enjoy the fact that they have entertainment on the flight. I like the TV monitors in the back of the headrest of the seat in front of me. I like this because I don't have to look down at my electronic device. I will say I feel like they are one of the most consistent Airlines when it comes to on time arrivals and luggage. Like I said, I've flown them for many years and never had an issue with my luggage. I've flown other airlines who have lost my luggage, Miss tagged my luggage, but Delta seems to have a pretty good system in place for managing luggage.

I just wish that Delta was just as professional but unfortunately not. More recently, I traveled internationally and I was told that certain comfort products were banned according to Delta policy. In the back of my head I figure "okay if it's not TSA approved i can understand that". But when I looked into it further, it turns out only Delta has this policy. Whether it's an inflatable or neck pillow or seat cushion, these products are banned because they want you to buy their premium seats. As consumers budgets are getting Tighter and Tighter, it is very unfortunate that a company that is as big and as global as Delta is pinching pennies At this rate I might as well go for a budget airline if I'm going to be nickel and dimed. In the last year, my partner lost luggage accessories and customer service refused to reimburse him. I'd love to give them the benefit of the doubt but honestly, these back to back mishaps just reflect their poor business integrity. Moving forward, we'll take our business elsewhere.

I discovered a few interesting things like a lottery vending machine, salad vending machine (Farmers Fridge), duty free and an Air Margaritaville. I'll have to check that place out next time. The best part about this airport is the community feel. It can take you back to the golden age of general aviation in the US. People coming in who are interested in learning how to fly and everyone is really friendly. An older man gave us a ride nearby since we couldn't find a car. Really cool little spot and I'm glad it is there for the community. Pilots - keep kind and no right turnouts for noise abatement!

This terminal has 4-5 Delta Sky Club lounges, and this one (near gate A18) was the closest near my gate. I made a quick stop a few Monday evenings ago to grab a small bite before my flight. Getting in was really easy, and there was essentially no line. The lounge is spacious and I had ample seats to choose from. There was a decent variety of food, but sadly, I didn't have enough time to sample all of it. I quickly grabbed a bit of mashed potatoes, pita & hummus, chickpea salad, and Swedish meatballs. Besides the chickpea salad, everything was unbearably salty. I ate half of the meatball and was unable to eat much more. Overall, food was just OK. At least the food tasted fresh and there was plenty of space, which cannot be said for other lounges.

It's nice to have the peace of mind of having pre-arranged transportation to and from the airport, since ride share (especially since the pandemic) has been less reliable in our area. Cars are clean, spacious, and the rides are quiet (which I personally prefer). The drivers find you in the airport on arrival, and walk you to the car, often even helping with bags (which is above and beyond), as opposed to leaving you to figure out where to go. We did have a hiccup once with a booking, but the response and customer service was good for resolving. Otherwise, service is reliable, on time, and pretty seamless.
