Flight attendant was not only rude throughout the flight but also spilt liquid on me and merely scurried off.

--Everything was on time, easy boarding, easy exit, no frills and no fuss!--…read more This is my third flight on Spirit. I previously flew Southwest, but their prices have been getting more ridiculous so I finally tried out Spirit, in 2025. I am now a fan! I have flown one other budget airline (in Europe) before, which left a super bad taste in my mouth, so I was hesitant to fly another budget airline. Flying from socal to norcal (flight time: 1 hour 6 minutes) for $30, I wasn't really expecting much, just that it got me there on time in one piece. I expected them to nickle and dime me and measure my luggage, but none of that happened! The personal item size allowance in America (18x14x8) is way more generous than in Europe. My giant tote bag easily fit in the designated box. I didn't see them try to give anyone a hard time about luggage size at all. What surprised me the most was the flight itself. Planing and deplaning was easier because most people didn't have carry-ons. There were also no snacks (unless you bought some from them), so there was hardly any trash and the seats were way cleaner. Sure the seats don't recline and aren't as cushiony, but it's totally negligible for my short flights. I'm short so the legroom was plenty for me. Not really sure how they make profit charging $30 a flight (during off peak hours), with $20 of it going to airport/government fees, but nonetheless I enjoyed 3/3 of my flights with Spirit!

Becky was in the middle seat and she was sort of squished in there. That was a bummer for her. She's 5' 10", so leg room is priority. It was a good flight though and we caught a tailwind and arrived in Maui early. For our return flight we upgraded to the two-seat aisle with more leg room, wider seats with monitors in the headrests for movie viewing AND free drinks. I think it was around $200 total for the upgrade. Totally worth it.

What makes it worth the choosing any airline...the perks, for me it is though the whole point is from A to B and getting it all there your luggage and personal items including yourself is all that matters everything else is cloud 9. Well with Alaska for me it's the turbulence and there was A LOT of it literally which is all Mother Nature but one thing I can't comprehend is taking away the status benefits or making limitation where it doesn't seem to matter anymore. Technically there aren't any dedicated lounge here at this International Airport and don't believe any information that it's their dedicated lounge if you're not a member "X" good luck, the aircraft is SO old and dated the first class restroom is a joke as a short person I could barely navigate can just imagine anyone taller than me. Chairs barely recline back...not even the slight bougie, also flying to Hawaii you need to fill out agriculture form (annoying) which is online ONLY now and finally admits that wifi is spotty and to fill it out at the gate versus on the aircraft is pathetic the only worth while is easy boarding and check in.

Still love JetBlue!…read more The priority boarding extra leg space and TVs make it a great flight. The only issue is with this hub there seems to be more delays than leaving Boston. So far only 25 percent of my flights leave on time. From Boston not as single delay at all. Luckily I never had a flight get cancelled. On my last trip a majority of the TVs were not working. They kept restarting. I also had the worst passengers sitting in front of me. They took up Two rows and they were out of control the entire trip. They could not control their kids. It was horrible and like a scene from Outbreak. They kept coughing all over the place, they would also stand up on the seats and cough in your face. . Wouldn't doubt if it was the flu or something. The kids kept jumping on the seat and screaming and crying. They could not control the kids. The entire family manned 1 bathroom for like 1/2 the trip. At one point the father apologized to me because the kept throwing and losing crayons and the would end up in my row behind them. Why not control your kids instead? The was a nightmare flight. I was going to ask for another seat but didn't want to make a big deal of it. At one point the father kept knocking on the bathroom door when somone else was in there. You took up the bathroom the entire trip, maybe others now need to use it. I could hear other passengers complain about them but not sure if they said anything. This was like Romper Room and Daddy Day Care all mixed in one. I feel bad for anyone else that has to get on a plane with them. Ok my rant is over. Just wish a flight attendant woulda told them to relax. And keep seated. lol. Can't really blame JeTblue for the passengers so I'm giving this trip a 3.75 lol.

My boyfriend walked up and asked if we could be moved closer to the front of the plane given the circumstances and she waved him away without even looking at our itinerary. Told him the gates were close together in Boston. The plane had several open seats closer to the front, so this would not have been a burden on her. The flight attendant on the plane was much more helpful, and the pilot made an announcement that a few folks had extremely tight connections so please remain seated unless you were one of them. Every single person in economy stayed seated, but I guess the announcement didn't reach the privileged, self-centered folks in first, as they ALL stood up and a woman told my boyfriend to move so she could grab her luggage. He said no, and I explained we had an extremely tight connection. A man in an Aloha Brewing shirt barked at me that everyone had tight connections. He started becoming very irritated and the woman in front of him told him that it was too early in the day to fight me. So that was fun. I hope dude felt really good about himself for going off on a girl. Anyway, he said he was going to New York so I checked the flights to New York. His connection was not tight. He was just rude. I recognize this is unrelated commentary but it's helpful context in the grand scheme of my experience. Our connecting plane was nowhere near the gate when we disembarked, so we had to run through the airport to another part of Terminal C in Boston. A JetBlue agent there asked where we were running to and said she'd call the plane to ask them to hold it for us. They did. JetBlue in Boston was stellar. All's well that ends well in the end, and the FA/pilot really did save the day, but I really wish the gate agent in San Diego had cared even an ounce to help us as a touch of customer service would've gone a long way. It could've been a different outcome if economy hadn't acknowledged the pilot's announcement.

I was charged $85 for a carry-on and $115 for a medium-sized checked bag that weighed less than 45 lbs. Traveling with my family ended up costing us a significant amount in luggage fees alone. The only reason I booked with this airline was because they offered a direct flight from Aguascalientes to Los Angeles. Unfortunately, the convenience was not worth the experience. The customer service was awful. The flight attendants were rude, unprofessional, and appeared poorly trained. As a frequent traveler, I have never experienced such poor service. They even charge for water onboard. To make matters worse, the aircraft smelled like urine throughout the flight. Overall, this was one of the most unpleasant travel experiences I have ever had. I will never fly with this airline again. I would rather take a bus than endure another flight with them.

My last flight home was blessed to be on a Hawaiian Airlines flight with an Aloha filled flight crew. Greetings were warm and welcoming here. I was immediately asked if I needed any assistance with placing my hand-carry and purse in the bin across my seat. I was allowed to retrieve my ear buds without scoldings and I was offered assistance to retrieve the ear buds from my bag. Within moments, I was offered a preflight drink. It was brought immediately to me! Such awesome service. Truly a 5 stars service by Hawaiian Airlines. I had preordered my meal selection on the Alaska/Hawaiian Mobile App. I selected the braised miso beef with steamed rice and vegetables. It sounded delicious. Please refer to the pictures for the great presentation of the initial meal and for the issue encountered with the meal. The salad was wonderful and fresh. I loved the sweet potatoes added to the mix. Dressing was light and flavorful. 5/5 stars. The cake was soft but unremarkable? I wasn't sure of the taste. The menu noted it was a cream crunch cake. There was no "crunch". 3/5 stars. The warmed bun with butter was comforting and a great start to the meal. 5/5 stars. Now, unfortunately for the main course. I found the miso sauce was condensed and super salty. As for the beef... well it was not edible. I could barely cut a slice off the charred block of beef. Was it cooked twice? Idk, but it was inedible. 0/5 stars. The side vegetables were bell peppers and shiitake mushrooms? I tried the mushrooms and it was chewy and not properly cooked? I skipped the bell peppers. I stopped eating at this point. I let our wonderful flight steward know of the situation. She immediately wanted to get me something to replace it. I was full from the salad and bread already. She then let me select a snack box from the flight menu. I chose the Gluten free Snack Box. I'll take it home with me. Even though the main course was a failure, the professional and immediate courtesy shown by the flight crew was more than enough to satisfy my appetite ;-) The chairs are comfortable and recline back at least 5 inches or more, the blanket and pillow provided to me was first class service, together with impeccable personal attention shown by the flight crew, made my experience today a wonderful way to end my awesome trip! They seem very similar to Spirit in the way of cost and pricing set up. Everything is piece rate, so you want better boarding? Buy it. Want to choose your seat ahead of time? Buy it. Want a soda or snack on board? Buy that too. So the cost is no frills, just the flight, everything else is an add-on. It's not wildly expensive, but can add up quickly. The boarding process was beyond chaotic. The groups are massive, and once everyone lines up, the lines stretch well into the terminal depending on where your gate is. A few things I appreciated were the flight attendants keeping the luggage bins closed for the first few rows while boarding happens. They didn't open them until people in those rows began being seated. This and upon landing, they didn't allow the whole plane to stand up at once, they controlled this as well. Nice touches that I wish a few other airlines would adopt. Service was friendly and helpful at the gates and on board. Overall, a solid 3.5 as an airline overall. I'm currently sitting Tijuana waiting to board my flight which is supposed to take off in two minutes, and everything shows on time, although no one has boarded yet. Their website crashed while we were paying for luggage, so we ended up getting charged twice, and they said a refund is not possible, so we'll have to go through our credit card company. As I write this, they now have delayed the departure by 11 minutes, but as not a single person has started boarding yet and the departure time is eight minutes from now, you can draw your own conclusions. We've only taken them for nonstop flights, and that seems to be the safest if you need to use them.
