Shame on you, Delta Airlines. Turning down a Tampa Hurricane Milton evacuee who had a tiny bunny in a cat carrier.

When you have the opportunity to visit your bestie in FL book the trip!…read more I had the best time visiting my friend and Southwest gave me the best price for a flight. The Tampa airport is so effortlessly, efficient and got me from the curb, through security, to the gate in under 30 minutes on a Saturday! I am pleased as punch and look forward to my next return to the sunshine state!

Flight was delayed more than once with little to no communication at the gate, an annoyance but it…read morehappens, I get it. Better communication would have been nice. We sat there with an app status of boarding for over half an hour with no update. Boarded the plane and was met by a flight attendant named Eboni who had a scowl on her face. I asked her for a belt extender, she asked me how I was doing today while still scowling, I didn't think she heard me the first time because it was a bit loud entering the plane and she did not acknowledge my request. She snaps back at me and says I heard you the first time, I was asking how your day was, in an extremely snarky manner. She digs me out an extender and I head to my seat perturbed by the unnecessary situation. My family was in row 1 and my Wife and Aunt both needed extenders. We sat down, I asked if they requested theirs, they both said no and that they were afraid to after hearing the way the attendant talked to me. She eventually walks by and my aunt tells her she needs an extender. My wife still being intimidated didn't say anything. When the attendant came back by she started searching through an adjacent compartment and my aunt spoke up and told her we needed 2 extenders. The attendant stops, looks at her with her trademark scowl and says snarkily, I'm getting them right now. First off, we never requested 2 so how did she know we needed 2? Second off, she never acknowledges a request so how can anyone know if she heard and understood or not? She obviously had a chip on her shoulder about something, race, weight, or just having a bad day, I don't know but it was deplorable and absolutely uncalled for. She kept a scowl (and I don't mean a frown, I mean a look of disgust) on her face this entire trip except when she is on her cell phone (pretty much the entire flight) and when the pilot announced there would be no in flight service. Delayed flight, deplorable attitude and service from the attendant, plane was EXTREMELY hot even after her announcing for us to open our vents and that it should cool down in a moment, it never did, no in flight service even though they announced there would be, and on top of that, while we're all sweltering and parched, the other attendant steps to the drink area and cracks her open a drink. Could have at least had the decency to muffle the sound. Awful experience compared to other airlines I've flown (dozens of times) and even the first southwest flight of our round trip.

The ticket counters are spread out by airlines. We were on United so we found their counter. They are all kisoks for checking into your flight. I didn't realize it until I needed to go to the next tram station that the QR code didn't print out on my boarding pass and my husband's boarding pass didn't print out at all so he had to use his phone as his boarding pass. Few glitches in their kisok system. I don't recommend the Kisok, but I don't think you have a choice. Just come with a lot of time and patience to make sure the kisok gets it right and if not hopefully you'll find someone to help walk you thought the process. And double check that your boarding pass has the QR code on it. At the gate I was able to have the ticket agent print out another boarding pass for me so I could board. Other good news. Due to it was a full flight they offered to check our carry-on baggage for free. That made it easier on our next layover, we didn't have to carry around and keep track of our luggage as we waited for our next flight. Boarding went smooth. We were in group 4, but due to we had our luggage checked we went after group 2 so we could carry our luggage down the ramp and place it by the door so they could load it up. Even though it was a pretty smooth experience I only gave it 3 star due to the ticketing issues. I beeped at the gate to the tram, because my husband showed the system my boarding pass, but it didn't register, but they still let me though the gate. I was blessed that they printed me out a new boarding pass so I could board on my own without having my husband fiddle with his phone to get both of our boarding passes digitally.

My company was being cheap at the time and send a bunch of us on Spirit, while upper management flew on better airlines. Repeated delays going and coming back due to mechanical problems. We were lucky they even got the planes off the ground. No to mention the limited food and beverage options and crappy cramped uncomfortable seats. Nickle and diming for any extras. Good riddance.

Breeze might be my favorite new airline... if only it went to more airports and abroad!!…read more Leaving Tampa sucks only when I'm staying in the U.S., but the blow isn't as bad knowing TPA is the best airport of its kind and now there's an option to fly with Breeze. I've always wanted to fly breeze since it's 2020 arrival, but the smaller markets it flew into weren't that great. Fast-forward to 2025 when they've added so many more markets, including the teeny tiny Pensacola airport which I happen to go back to when I'm not abroad and not in Tampa (the parents live there, and I run Airbnb's out of there). When I got back to Pensacola from abroad in July, I flew my daughter up on breeze and she told me how great it was. On my first breeze flight, it was a brand new plane! A first great impression for a germaphobe pho like me. I'm a bag checker so I don't know how it is to fly with just a carry-on and I feel like the plan with a check bag and Wi-Fi is worth it. You get full Wi-Fi on the plane. Only Water was served for my #Short one hour flight so I'm not certain if they serve other snacks, but there is a paid menu. For now, I'm giving this airline a five star because it was a smooth, clean and comfy flight. I'll update when I can do a round trip and also fly to a different market. After I'm done with my Southwest points Breeze will be my first look. I just hope it keeps expanding and takes Southwest place since Southwest decided it would like to be just as average as every other airline these days. Breeze feels like a better version of what Southwest was when it first started as you do get to choose your seats! I hope they keep up the great service. I wrote an article on breeze Airways upon its inauguration and the CEO at least at the time it was the former CEO of JetBlue. I remember loving JetBlue then hating it so I hope it's due to the CEO understanding what customers really want.

We were 1,500 miles from home and couldn't wait four days--we had a child who needed to get back in time for school. At the airport, we were told we would be reimbursed up to $250 per night. Great. Except we weren't going to sit there for four days. We did what we had to do and rented a car to drive home.I am glad we didn't wait because I was later told that they wouldn't have reimbursed us for the hotel anyway. $1,900. For a rental car. And no, it wasn't a Porsche. We spent $1,900 because JetBlue stranded us and our only option to get our child home in time for school was a 1,500-mile drive home. Since so many others were stranded too, this car was the only option. Then came the customer service experience. And honestly? The flight cancellation was bad. The way JetBlue treated us afterward was worse. Airport staff? Awful. Online chat? Useless. Calling customer service? Good luck getting anyone who can actually help. And after being bounced around with reps that are not located in the US, we finally reached an escalation representative named Kodie, who was condescending and dismissive and essentially made it clear that there was nothing he could--or would--do. So let's recap: -Flight delayed -Flight canceled due to crew time-out issues -Family stranded 1,500 miles from home -Rebooked FOUR DAYS later -Had to rent a car for $1,900 to drive home -Customer service was terrible at the airport, online, and by phone - ZERO reimbursement JetBlue didn't just cancel our flight. They stranded our family and then made us pay $1,900 to get ourselves home. Zero accountability. Zero compassion. Zero reimbursement. We will never forget this experience--and we will make sure other travelers know exactly how JetBlue treated our family. #JetBlue #JetBlueSucks #StrandedByJetBlue #CustomerServiceFail #TravelNightmare #NeverAgain
