This is a classic Del's Lemonade. I'm talking old school, pre-internet, 1980s Del's Lemonade. The high school girls slopping it even had big hair and bangs. They don't take cash, so don't bother. They have flavors besides lemon, but you're a communist or some sort of outastatah if you try one. Your best bet is to get a quart and get some little cups. For those who don't know, Del's is an Italian-Rhode Islander invention composed of ice slush, sugar, and chunks of real lemon. Oh my God, it's so good during the summertime. It's perfect to have at a county fair, at a sports event, outside at a park, or toward the end of the day. This location is in a classic Rhode Island neighborhood, Cowesett, just up the street from the Station Nightclub Fire Memorial. It perfectly shares a home with one of the awesome and ubiquitous neighborhood pizza places that I found out were quite rare outside the northeast. Rating:4.0 Del's are well known in RI for their frozen lemonade. I've been few times but decided to leave a review this time. Depends on the location but usually it's a small shop or truck. They offer few different flavors, original lemonade, watermelon, blue berries, mango...etc. this time had a seasonal flavor apple cider. Frozen lemonades are always refreshing and nice sweet treat for the summer. It's basically a slushy mix of frozen lemonade in different flavors. Apple cider one was good as it reminded me of apple juice but I personally like the original and mango better. Overall Del'a lemonade is always a solid choice for summer's sweet treat. However it's simple and can be replicated easily at home. read more

Classic and can't go wrong with sweet treat~ a frozen dels lemonade! The ice is more thicker and has more crunchy pieces. I ordered a lemon flavor and my partner got the new apple cider frozen lemonade! The apple cider treat tasted like apple juice! The staff were so nice and accommodating. I came at night, around 8pm. The cashier met us outside, and said he wasn't going to open the small window because the counter is infested with small black bugs, similar to moths. They were crawling all over the window and counters. I honestly didn't notice it at all because it was dark and I thought it was a shadow. The kind gentleman warned us to not order from the window and he took our orders himself and went in and out the shop, taking the long way to make sure our treats were safe. He said he didn't want to scare people and wanted to make sure we get our treat. He said he has called the boss to tell him about the problem. The bugs looked concerning. The inside looked clean and he was tidying the inside shop like normal. The manager or owner of the place should really listen to the worker. He seemed concerned and was doing his best to accommodate customers, and is taking orders by coming up to cars or meet us on the side of the shop to prevent bugs getting in, and a bug free lemonade. This Del's is cash only, but we liked that it's open early so we could get it before we left the area. The lady at the shop is sweet and soft spoken. We ordered small blueberry and lemon and the lemon is definitely the best one. It's refreshing for hot summer days and not overly sweet. Blueberry was just okay. I highly recommend checking out Del's and getting their frozen lemonade! read more

The four stars are a combination of a flawless, five-star Rhode Island staple, and a three-star service experience at this particular Del's. Del's lemonade is a perfect marriage of consistency (wet soft slush bits) and flavor (bright sweet real lemon rind chunks), but this location isn't the very best. I had to initiate ten separate phone calls tonight before the counter worker would tell me the answer to a simple question: what are your hours today? I don't see the point of hanging up the phone nine times before even hearing the sound of my voice, but maybe that's just her version of letting the telephone ring. I had a mid quarantine craving for Del's Lemonade. We all know in Rhode Island that there is nothing to compare to it so we drove there just to get the lemonade. It was absolutely perfect Del's Lemonade. It was the only thing that could fulfill that craving. We thoroughly enjoyed it and are grateful that we have such a special item just for us here in Rhode Island. read more

This is a cute little green and yellow building that serves some deliciously frozen lemonades with different flavors. They have other snacks as well. You can even make one at home when you buy their product, Del's at home. All you need is a blender and of course ice. It makes 1 gallon of frozen lemonade. read more

I have been going to Del's for the last two decades. Attention readers, I went to this location the other day and ordered Watermelon Del's in a quart. To my surprise once I gave the older lady a tip and got to the car to enjoy what I ordered I recognized she gave me the wrong flavor. I was still in the parking lot so I walked back up to the counter and told the lady that this is not what I ordered. To my surprise the lady said I know you ordered the watermelon flavor. She then proceeded to yell at me for no reason because she didn't want to make it right. I have worked for many companies in my lifetime and the customer is always right. She did not rectify this situation so therefore I can not justify her actions and will be taking my business elsewhere. read more

How can anyone give Del's Frozen Lemonade any LESS than FIVE STARS??? Del's is a RI icon, like pasta sauce (red sauce), coffee syrup, clam cakes, hot wieners -- and yeah - you get it - we RI-ers love our Del's. There is NOTHING like a Del's at the beach. If you are not getting it here on Cowesett Rd., the best place to have it is at the beach. The sun is hot, the sand is hotter, and you need to put on shoes to walk up to the snack counter and order yourself a large Del's. I do love the lemon flavored Del's but once I tried the watermelon flavor, I was hooked. Especially when I am at the beach. You do need to get a large one, otherwise, you will have finished it before you go back to your beach chair and might need to trudge up that hot sand for another. Nothing cools me off like a watermelon Del's at the beach. As an aside, when I was a little girl, I used to ride sometimes on my father's bus (he was a RI UTC bus driver) and I will NEVER forget the hot summer day he stopped the bus on the street and NOT at a bus stop - and he ran out and bought me a Del's Lemonade. And then got back on the bus and continued to drive his route. Everyone on the bus laughed or smiled at me. I was quite embarrassed, being the very shy child that I once was. But I will never, ever forget that he did that and that might be why I love Del's Frozen Lemonade so much. Even without that sweet memory, though, I would still be crazy for Del's!! read more

It's that time of year again, the sign is lit up and you know that spring is here and you start seeing the trucks all over the state. I always love coming here and especially when it's hot and having lemon Dels and the lil one has blueberry. The cowesett location is always busy it has a pizza shop on the other side of the building it was once called Vasilis pizza before they sold to another and a couple years the family bought it back. The owner of Dels at this location I believe is his wife and usually here in the beginning. If your a local you need to get your dels. If your new to the area try it out you won't be disappointed read more
