So friendly and helpful! The store is well-organized and prices are reasonable. Don't be turned off by the reviews talking about parking - we parked on the street right out front, and they brought our heavy items right to the car. They even loaded our hay bales for us. I have a love/ hate relationship with Del's, lol! This place is always Sooooooo dang busy! No matter what day, or time of day you come, its busy, no joke! Plus, what makes matters worse, is their very small parking lot (8-10 small cars at best) and if it's full, you'll have to park outside of the fence or better yet, across the street! Imagine yourself, carrying your 40+ dog food along with your other purchases across the street (I have, piece of cake for me, but anyway) talk about a workout, you'll get one without even going to the gym, alright, ha ha! You've got guy's constantly pulling in with their full size trucks and sometimes with trailers attached to them, yikes! Most of the time it's to pick up farm supplies (poles, fence, etc.) and feed. Why I keep coming back to Del's, is because they carry a wide variety of Farm and Pet Supplies (see my profile pic's aka Jade's Farm, lol!) They have an entire aisle that is devoted to dog food, treats, leashes with matching collars and harnesses, while another is for pet carriers and beds, shampoos, conditioners, topical ointments, and grooming supplies (I got 3 fur babies). They also have a decent selection of bird supplies ( I have 1 very talkative Myna Bird, that also barks and meows at the dogs, he's a character, lol!) from bird seed, toys and cages too! Good selection for almost all types of pets Despite being a local Farm Supply they are pretty up to date on their inventory. They seem to have everything you need, you just need to ask. I was surprised to find that they carry koi food in the 50# bag size too (see koi pond pics) this store seems to have everything you need for just about any pet. I've seen live bunnies, and live baby chicks too! There are other smaller pet stores in town, however they only seem to focus more on fish and birds then they do dogs and other animals. If you need help, you will find that there are a few employees roaming around the store, and though not all of them will necessarily approach you, the few that do, Will try their best to assist you. Good store. All workers do their best to be helpful and cheery. Special orders for items that are not carried in stock in-store were easy done thru Duckey. She was good about following up about the order, letting me know when it arrived, and was even so thoughtful to order a smaller size for me that I didn't know existed, which ended up being the item that fit me better than my original order. They are moving near the mall by April 2020 and having a 15% discount sale on most items now, so it's a great deal to get stuff there now! read more

Don't forget about Del's when looking for pet supplies. We were Looking all over for a travel crate for our German Shepherd. Found great value in comparison to the usual pet stores, which didn't even carry the bigger size / we got XL and they even had XXL in stock at substantially better prices than what we found even on line. What I like about Del's: + lots of pet supplies~ food, pet products, etc. + for home and farm animals When my dogs were younger, I use to pick up their shots from here. I even picked up products for the yard to kill the bad guys. My mom also pick up a chicken cage from Del's! Small parking lot, but whenever I go, I always seem to score a parking. The guys there are friendly and will carry your big items to your vehicle. Just came here the other day to pick up dog food when I was visiting the island... and I'm still a fan! Always awesome service no matter which attendant/sales person/stocker. Enjoyed receiving the 10% off card in the mail. Hope they do that again, or possibly a frequent customer/buyer card. Yes, they're always busy. Why wouldn't a good place be busy? They know what they have and what they're doing. Just my opinion. Take it or leave it. I check Google to see what they're busiest times are and go during the slow hours. Been working for me to not have too many people and going when there are parking stalls available. Yup... parking area could be bigger. But not much space to work with with the location they're at. Recommend Del's for not just farm supplies. Dog food, treats, meds, beds, and lots of other supplies. That also goes for cats too. My pup didn't like a certain flavor of dog food. What is great about their selection is that there are different varieties and prices to meet everyone's budget. They even carry koi fish food for our koi! The store stocks cat food and products, bird food and cages, chicken feed, horse and cattle feed, and fence products. The service here is excellent! All of the workers I have spoke to in person, as well as on the phone, have gone above and beyond in assisting me with what I was looking to purchase. Last month when I went into Del's, I asked the cashier for assistance. She walked me to the milk replacers and explained to me which one was the best to buy, and how much to give my baby animal. On Saturday I went into Del's to buy grain. Although they were just about to close, the cashier took the time to explain about all the different kinds of grains they have, and how much, and how often to give it. She even told me what kinds of leaves can make my animals sick, and explained to me how to raise my baby animal. On Monday I went into Del's again to buy more milk replacer. When I looked on the shelf I was not able to find the same milk replacer I had purchased before. I asked a worker if he could assist me. I told him that i was afraid if I changed the formula, my baby animal may get the runs again. I didn't know the name of the milk replacement brand but I tried to explain to him what the package looked like. He said he believes it is Nurseall that I'm looking for and would check to see if he could find some in the back. He ran to the back and then came back quickly with a box of Nurseall. I will definitely continue to shop at Del's because of their excellent customer service!! read more

I've been a very loyal costumer to Del's for the past 5 years. I have 3 large pit bulls and I love taking them inside to pick our there food and let them each choose a new toy and bone as a treat. I have never been given snarky looks or negative comments about having my pit bulls there and enjoy the compliments from both other costumers and staff. Its a very great privilege to continue awareness of the breeds true nature and not the nature given by media propaganda and ignorance. On many occasions I have gone inside on a very strict budget and the staff really worked with my budget to help me find the products I needed and if not alternatives for it. They are all very knowledgeable about all the products and at first I was reluctant to trust the opinion of anyone else when it came to the care for my dogs but I have learned to pester them tirelessly about new products and they seem more than willing to answer. They are busy but I suggest getting to Del's during 3pm when they are least busy during the week. Even though I prefer to carry my dog food out myself I know I can always ask for one of the associates to help me if ever need be. Don't ever feel like your an inconvenience in this place because they all work really hard to help everyone. I have both cats and dogs and at one point when I could afford to care for them I had horses and always got my products at Del's. They are very affordable for the great quality they have and they work diligently to provide the best services to you. They seem to always have the same faces which tells me that the staff loves to work their. I have met the store manager (Bob) who seemed very respectable and would always acknowledge me with a smile even if he was extremely busy. Last but not least, I found 4health dog food at this location by far the BEST high quality dog food for those of us on the lower side of the income pool. I spend on average 32-42 a bag and because its high quality I feed them less making the food last MUCH LONGER/LESS POOP. I use to buy walmart Dog Chow at 50bs spending around 25 bucks. I went though two bags and ALOT OF POOP before I wised up and got 4health. I spend 20% less and my dogs poop is alot less frequents,smelly, and messy. ANYWAY!!!!!!! I HIGHLY ENCOURAGE EVERYONE TO CHECK OUT DELLS. They have canine vaccinations for 7 bucks, kennels, a huge selection of collars and leashes, dog bowls. The only negatives to this is the parking lot. It is very small and have seen some pretty bad drivers really mess up trying to get out of it. So best it to park outside where I know my car wont get bumped one day. ALOHA read more

Del's Is great! They have biggest selection of dog/cat/horse/chicken food in hilo. All types of animal care products, from flea shampoos to medications and they also have a big selection of farming supplies like fence posts, cowboy boots, you name it, they got it. The staff is also very helpful, and they will assist you with bringing heavier items to your car. The only thing I dislike about the place is their parking lot but I usually just end up parking across the street to avoid the chaos. read more

Make sure you have lots and lots (and lots) of time to burn when you go to Del's. This is my favorite animal supply store as they have everything you need for most farm animals! From large animals such as horses and cows, to smaller animals like dogs and goats. They have everything you need! Assortments of food and treats, remedies to many common Animal illness, toys, transport kennels and crates, salt blocks, fencing, tubs, etc... They also sell small farm animals occasionally such as chicks and bunnies! The staff are friendly and very knowledgeable about animal health and care. They even help you load up your vehicle!
