Although it wasn't busy at the time we were t here, the restaurant is large and can accommodate a ton of people. They also have a small bar to the right when you walk in. All of the food and service was great and we will definitely be returning.

Upon first viewing the outer crust was perfect & smelled so delicious but my first bite was horrible! It literally tasted similar to how canned dog food smells. Either they changed the recipe or just cooked a bad batch of beef filling. I was so disappointed I ended up scraping all of the filling out & just eating the crust. I may go back to try again because I really liked them before. Good Restaurant & friendly people but the Empanadas are a game change:(

Rarely a wait, and the bar also offers tabletop seating. I've had the white fish tacos and the taco bowl (seperare visits). Both are filing and easy on the pocket. The margaritas come in different sizes and several flavors, I've only had the mango and it shakes. Chips and salsa are served in two sizes and are not on the house. Try em out and see what ya think!

I so love yelp! I saw the pictures of what the restaurant looked like inside and not for those pictures, I would not have went just from looking at it outside. English is their second language and I am okay with that when it comes to food because that means the authenticity meter goes up. My friend had a ride before me and was sitting down with chips and salsa when I arrived. The restaurant was clean but also had a homily feel which I appreciated. After a few minutes the waitress had not returned so I jumped up to grab a menu and decide what I wanted. The menu was in Spanish but had pictures. That with my bad Spanish allowed me to order but I wanted. After some questions I decided upon two carne asada tacos, traditional. Easy, right? Yes! Those were the best tacos I have had in a long time at a restaurant. To meet with tender and there was not a lot of fat or hard in digestible pieces. The salsa verde was spectacular! I wanted to steal it but I kept my composure and remains classy and left it on the table. I actually really enjoyed my food. Must order the napoles and to it with both green sauces.

Once inside the venue, the sweet smell of flavors from across the southern border had all my senses awakened, what came after was just pure bliss in every bite I took of the lamb taco, the lengua taco, the roasted pork taco and the el pastor taco. I was immensely delighted at the idea that they had a great selection of soups to include the seafood soup ( very close to a cioppino). Why 4 out of 5 then?? Well they don't serve alcohol...yet? A good cerveza, a minty mojito and a grandma margarita would definitely make this place a slice of Mexico in our backyard.

The guacamole was literally smashed avocado - no seasoning, no onions or tomatoes or lime or anything. Straight up avocado. We got the special for two - it came with chile rellenos, enchilada, tacos, and tamale. The tacos were probably the best flavor wise but the meat was spread on top of the tamale, and my husband swears the cheese in the rellenos was Rotel. Nothing in our meal was salted either - honestly all of the dishes felt barely seasoned. The atmosphere was pleasant and all of the staff we interacted with were happy and smiling. We didn't hate it, but I don't think we'll be back.

We only waited about 5 minutes to be seated, which was great for a weekend evening. Once seated, we perused the menu and our server was attentive but not overbearing. I ordered the 3 hard shell steak tacos supreme, and while they were pretty average, I'll admit they were definitely a step above Taco Bell . My friend went with the #6 Dinner Combo (enchilada, taco, rice & beans) plus an extra beef taco--and they were very happy with their meal. The real highlight, though, was the birthday celebration--complete with a sombrero and lots of laughs. You can tell the staff really enjoys making guests feel special. Overall, El Salto has friendly service, solid prices, and a festive atmosphere that makes it perfect for group celebrations. I'll be back next year for the annual birthday dinner... and this time, I've got my eye on the fried ice cream! Pro tip: Come with friends--it's way more fun when you're celebrating something!
