I was so nervous to hand my vision over to a stranger, and Lindsey executed beyond my wildest dreams! It helps that she is just SO lovely and easy to work with! I hired her as a "part-time" planner as I knew I wanted to hire my vendors and then hand everything off to her a few months before the wedding. She provided vendor recommendations for the few I had yet to book late last year, and was SO communicative the entire process, which I really appreciate. I am pretty Type A and like things to happen a certain way, and not only did I have ZERO stress leading up to the wedding and on the wedding day, Lindsey made the whole process easy and FUN, which is how it should be!!! You just proved my point about your business Marshall .. unprofessional, needs work, and needs to stick to charging everything when it needs to be charged, not let us pay the invoice in full and then charge added charges weeks later. A coworker of mine just spoke to me regarding her wedding at Krug and low and behold, she's not happy with your services either, you were not transparent about the time/events taking place the day of her wedding and you gave her samantha which she said is inexperienced as well. It won't be me having the only problem with your company and others have huge issues with your company .. But how you went about everything like saying my budget/finances on an online platform without my consent and taking our deposit and applying it somewhere without our consent is poor form and illegal ... very unprofessional and not good if you work in our business.

We got married on 5/18/24 at Paradise Ridge Winery and have nothing but wonderful things to say…read moreabout our primary coordinator, Marissa Sartory. She's kind, caring and an ally during our planning process. She's quick to respond to all communications, reassured us when we had concerns, understood our budget, and did a fantastic job anticipating our needs. After 9 months of working with Marissa, there was an unexpected turn of events caused by some turnover/changes in roles. We were informed that our day-of coordinator was now Paige Hough. Although Marissa was still our main point of contact, we now had to shift our trust to another individual who was to execute our wedding day wishes, which was unnerving. Most of our planning including vendors and major details had been taken care of in collaboration with Marissa, so we were flexible with our transition to a different coordinator/director of operations (Paige), even though it was not our preference. This is all not to say that our wedding was not amazing, but it was something that we did not anticipate and did cause added stress. Marissa continued to support us during the transition and made us feel comfortable with the changes; without her we would not have been as confident. We really wish we could have seen everything through with our original coordinator, Marissa, as she spent months helping us and investing her time with us, but it did not work out that way. Again, our day turned out to be wonderful with the assistance of friends, family, & all staff (milestone, Paige, and other) but we feel that since we had such a close working relationship with Marissa, there would be no cons listed below if we continued to work with her: Pros: -One stop shop for everything with flexibility in regard to vendors. -Things went smoothly as structured in our wedding timeline; no major hiccups or issues that we noticed. We had the assistance of the DJ, who is our good friend (DJ Willie G), who was additional help with coordination in terms of timeline and other details. Not sure if the day would have been different without him but we saw/know that he was one of our greatest allies on the day. -Catering: Food from Girl and the Fig (buffet style) was fantastic, and staff were attentive. Would recommend this caterer to anyone else. We had comments from many people saying "this was the best food ever!" -Rehearsal: We had an issue with a promotion offered to us initially, likely due to staff turnover in Milestone Estate Kitchen (MEK). Rehearsal was to be part of the Girl and the Fig catering package but some issues with booking occurred, and it was missed. MEK, specifically Dan, made everything right & it turned out great. We loved our alternative solution, and appreciate Dan and MEK for working with us to resolve the issue. We believe that if this was to occur with any other coordination service, this would not have been resolved in such a way. We appreciate Milestone, its staff, and Dan for helping us with this. Cons: -Potential for turnover and change in staffing which can add stress and be a detriment to overall continuity. -There was some miscommunication between the venue and milestone regarding where we could store our decor list items when we came for rehearsal. Instead of a private, indoor space as promised, we were told to keep all our delicate florals & decor items outside, overnight. we did not feel this was the fault of our coordinator but the venue, as they booked an event which required use of our promised space the day prior to our wedding, which is when we needed to drop everything off. Fortunately, Paige stepped up and offered solutions to either bring all the florals to Milestones' office and transport them herself the next day, or she return after the event ended and move the delicate items indoors. We really appreciated that she offered a resolution and accommodated us to ensure our items were stored safely. -As we were sent off prior to the end of our wedding, we were made aware by some members of our wedding party that some things weren't packed up as directed in our décor list. Some of the items which we wanted returned did not end up where they were directed to be placed. So, in essence, we are missing some items which we were hoping to keep. -We were made aware that an entire sheet cake wasn't put out and was almost left in the fridge. This was supposed to be served and/or packed up for us to take home. All in all, if we were to do it over again, we would still choose to work with Milestone. Their coordination services and resources were extremely helpful and relieved some of the stress involved with planning a wedding. If you follow their structure and timeline, and utilized their tools and resources, you will be set up for a successful event. The staff are knowledgeable and helpful. I would recommend their services to my friends and family. Thanks for helping us pull off an amazing day which we will remember forever.

Me and my husband got the middle-tier package, which did not include budget and vendor payments (note: this package excludes reminders to pay vendors as well). Echo's approach to wedding planning is methodical and well-organized. For instance, she created a dedicated folder where she would post/remove deliverables incrementally as we went through the process. That way, we did not feel overwhelmed since she already broke down the steps into smaller, manageable pieces. Or, another great example is organizing our email communications by different work streams so that we could easily refer to conversations by topic, and not lose track of items when discussing multiple vendors at once. Echo was always quick to reply on every communication platform. We trusted Echo not only for her planning skills, but also for her local knowledge of vendors. We followed her recommendations under the assumption that she would put together an excellent team to execute our vision. On the day of the wedding, they all worked together like a well-oiled machine. They say that something always goes wrong on your actual wedding day, but ours was had little/no stress. We initially spoke with several other planners, but after our first call with Kimberly, we knew we wanted her to be the one helping us plan our event this past October in Sonoma. We insisted that Kimberly was our go-to with ASE. ASE has several levels of planning packages depending on what you are looking for. My Husband and I decided to go with the partial planning package and it was the perfect balance for us. We are from the Chicagoland area so having a planner in California where we were getting married was essential. Kimberly is also well-connected in wine country/the wedding industry and has relationships with many of the vendors who ASE has worked with over the years. This is a major perk, since she was able to point us in the direction of some of the best vendors out there! We always felt like we were in the right hands and were provided high quality recommendations by Kimberly. Throughout the past year of planning with Kimberly she was always kind and had such a positive attitude. Aside from being our wedding planner, Kimberly felt like a friend. Not only did we hear from several of our vendors how much they loved working with Kimberly and how organized she was, even several of our friends asked who she was because they noticed how on top of everything she was at the wedding. Everyone tells you how stressful wedding planning can be, especially since our entire planning process was virtual and during covid, but ours was carefree and fun! You also hear "something is going to go wrong the day of" but my husband and I can say that our day was flawless. If something did go wrong, it was nothing made known or visible to either us or any of our guests. When my Husband and I returned to our hotel room at the end of that night, Kimberly and her assistant had already returned all our signs and personal belongings to our room. They laid out my veil on the bed with our welcome sign so beautifully (see pic). Although this was a small gesture, we felt it was so thoughtful to walk back to at the end of what was already the perfect day! One final touch if you will! I have said to my husband on numerous occasions recently that I wish our wedding planning wasn't over and how I want to experience our day all over again and he agrees! Thank you, Kimberly for helping make our wedding one we'll always treasure and never forget! It was more magical than we could have ever envisioned!

My 14 month engagement turned into 26 months and I cannot imagine having gone through the challenges the pandemic and wild fires presented without Kelly. In addition to her gorgeous work, creativity, and connections in the industry, she is as genuine as can be and truly wants the best for her brides, grooms and their families. Not only does Kelly want to make your wedding planning experience as easy and fun as possible, but she also does an incredible job of getting to know you and making the wedding extremely personal. She got to know my husband and me in addition to our story and overall vision for our special day/weekend. Kelly goes above and beyond. For example, Kelly knew mine and my husband's love for Crumbl cookies and it became a shared love between all of us. She had the great idea to pick up Crumbl catering for our Rehearsal Dinner, which was also my husband's birthday, because she knew how special that would be for us. This is just the smallest example of Kelly's thoughtfulness throughout the whole process. Our wedding planning process presented extreme challenges between having to postpone a full year due to the pandemic and having to find a new venue/caterer/other vendors after our original venue burned down, but Kelly had my back every step of the way. She worked tirelessly to give us the best options while still taking our budget and preferences into consideration. The day would not have been possible without her and we are forever grateful for her dedication, her hard work, and her genuine love for what she does. Three months later, anytime we see our friends and family, they still talk about how perfect and absolutely stunning our wedding day and weekend was. I knew our day would be special but it was beyond anything I could have ever dreamed of. Kelly and the ASE team went above and beyond in creating the most special, beautiful, personalized and intimate wedding for us and I will forever be grateful. I could go on for several more paragraphs, but in conclusion, if you are looking for a wedding planning team, you will be in the best hands with A Savvy Event!

By the time we hired Leslie, we had already selected our vendors and had a clear vision -- we mainly needed logistical coordination, vendor communication, and expert guidance to bring it all together. From early on, we were surprised by the lack of proactive recommendations and limited familiarity with Healdsburg and our venue, despite having been told otherwise. As time went on, communication became increasingly sparse, and it was difficult to get clarity on key details. At around four months out, vendors began reaching out to me directly for logistics since they weren't getting responses, which understandably made us anxious about how things would come together. When I raised my concerns and shared that we might need to go in a different direction, Leslie acknowledged that it hadn't been a perfect fit but seemed surprised by the decision. We ultimately made the very difficult choice to end our contract less than three months before our wedding and in hindsight, it was absolutely the right one. I share this not to bash Leslie, as she is genuinely kind and professional, but to provide transparency for couples who have high expectations of their planner's communication, organization, and local expertise.
