If there is one thing I love in life, it's minor league baseball. And the lower the level you go, the better it gets. Why? That's easy. The prices go down and the seating availability goes way up. The deal here for us was booking same day front row seats next to the visiting dugout for a luscious 11am day game. If you would have taken away the school groups in attendance, maybe there would have been 200-300 there at best. At higher-level minor league stadiums (AAA or even AA) you usually get more personal or corporate season ticket sales which to the team means the seats are sold, but most of the year no one is using those seats. At the A ball level here, it's more of a free for all where if you come for the right games on the right days, you can have amazing seats and it's all up for grabs. As for the game itself, it was a 0-0 pitcher's duel until Delmarva brought in Edgar Portes and he coughed up a three-run bomb in the 7th and then another solo shot in the 8th. Delmarva's offense came up small and they didn't get a runner to third base until the 9th inning which is why they went down 5-0. A few random thoughts and observations: You can buy and print your tickets at home along with pre-paying the $5 parking charge or you can just show the PDF on your phone. Easy enough except the day of our game none of the staff had scanners and all they were doing was taking pictures of your phone screen with their personal phone to I guess show someone else later. So difficult and beautifully inefficient. I love it. You also could in theory park for free. If you drive down Hobbs Road past the main entrance/exit area for the parking lot, there is a small dirt road which I guess is supposed to be an overflow exit for busy game nights, but it's not patrolled, and you could drive up into the back of the main lot and no one would know. Prices are reasonable, the weather was great, the play on the field was as good as it gets for A ball and I don't care about overpriced crap minor league baseball cafeteria quality food. Stadium needs some tlc, but seats are all great, staff super friendly w kids, and kids' zone is fun. Stamp #4 in birdland passport. As an FYI- '...visit five of the six Orioles affiliated ballparks and have their passport marked with a 2017 stamp will receive a limited edition Orioles T-shirt (one per customer, per passport). I truly enjoy going to Shorebirds games. Before every game I go down to where little kids get autographs and just talk with some of the players. Also, I always have this lunchbox full of candy for the team. They really like it, some of them take a lot of candy. It is always a great time. I will admit, its not very safe, you do have to watch out for foul balls. My brother was hit in the arm, we always sit in the front row, and he did not break anything. But, if you go, you should watch for foul balls. read more

So this is on the stadium. Parking $4, close to stadium. But the food and drinks were more expensive than other minor league parks. Almost as much as major league parks. Absolutely no local craft beer selection. Pizza slices were better than expected. read more

Have been here for a game many time. This was my first game in my Birdland Passport baseball road trip. It is a great place to see a game. I like sitting up stairs due to I like the selection of food that is offered there. Has regular cast of beer selection, which will work just fine. Sherman (Shorebirds mascot) was all of the place before and during the game. They had fireworks after the game, which were good. The main exit out of the parking lot is closed during the fireworks, so you have to go down some back road to get back to Route 50. read more

A very fun and inexpensive way to have a family outing. The stadium is very nice and clean, and depending on how much you want to spend on tickets, has a wide assortment of seating options. Use the e-tickets option on your smart phone and save on printing out your tickets. (Just make sure the gate attendant uses their scanner to scan the bar codes on the phone, our attendant had no clue this was even a ticket option) Food is typical blah stadium food, nothing extra special. Parking is $3 so make sure you have cash when heading out. read more

Love the stadium. This particular game not so hot. The announcer is the best however the men who seat u r grouches & the young employees take their lead. It would help a lot to see folks who have smiles & seem happy to have jobs let alone excited for the game. A real downer atmosphere when u interact w staff ticket staff helpful & pleasant. If you are looking for a decent night out at the ball park with your little ones, going to a Shorebirds game is a good idea. The tickets are cheap, and the entertainment will keep everyone's attention. If I had one recommendation though it would be to eat before you get to the ball park. I ordered a hot sausage, and was served one with raw onions and peppers. Also tried a slice of pizza, and it just tasted like it sat from the day before. Other than the food though, it is a fun activity to go. read more

We've attended several of the Shorebirds' games and they're okay but nothing special. If you have small children (under 10yo), it can even be a less-than-desirable place to visit. The last game we attended was extremely crowded, rowdy, way too much beer being consumed, and the whole thing was poorly managed. The concession foods are truly awful. The team isn't bad and occasionally puts on a really good show. If you're looking for something to do outdoors and want to fritter away $60, I can think of quite a few other options that are better than attending a Shorebirds' game. read more

Was at Shorebirds game last night with friends from the community. Even though they lost, it was a nice evening. The stadium is small and cozy and the hot dogs and beer are good. They is a merry-go-round for kids. I recommend it for a good time. read more
