I'm surprised to see all of the positive reviews here as my experience with Helix is nothing like…read moreit. Amy, the owner of Helix, is a terrible person. I have observed her, on multiple occasions, being rude, pushy, unprofessional, lying (to favor herself, at times even against her own staff), ageist, sexist, and racist. I have witnessed her making remarks that are discriminating against my coworkers before, for age and color of their skin. The staff and maintenance team are nice and I've had no issues there. They are actually pretty receptive and kind. The issue is Amy, and since she's the owner, who rules with an iron fist, everyone looks at her for answers and she has all final says. Therefore, even if you get a positive staff member at first- if Amy comes into it and is cranky, annoyed, or just doesn't like you - watch out. My impression is this company does okay in St. Louis because St. Louis doesn't have a big enough market, so people will take what they can get. The property's are "good enough"- although please note, Helix will cut corners on cost whenever possible. It's about the last buck for them and not about a joint investment in their leasers, properties, and profit.

He was extremely prompt in communicating with me and getting me the information I needed. We are living in the Soho Lofts building and we love it here!!! It is quiet, clean, safe, and it is obvious that management cares a lot about the tenants.

I used to be a maintenance supervisor over one of their properties and they start off letting you do good by helping as I was earning them five star reviews from the tenants who were management hurt due to poor management prior to me . The workload is extensive due to lack of proper management and they limit your spending because they're concerned about their bonuses at the end of the month so what maintenance needs can't be gotten because of corporate greed . They find a way to get you out of there when you do spend because they have already pre-spent their bonus money so they're counting on it and their bonus is far more important to them than their tenants because at the end of the day when they go home they don't have to look at their tenants . Once they lock you in to a lease you're in there and they don't care about you anymore because you're stuck and they know it . I'm telling you this from experience working with them because I tried to make it a better place for the tenants and a better place for the management normally my formula is a servant leader that provides great tenant retention as well as management satisfaction with my work but this only works when they allow it to . Money is more important to them than people just know that when you come here to look at these places when you look at all these reviews they're all true every one of them not only the ones here but the ones that are on Google those are all true and you can blame the office managers for that the district managers for that the corporate all the way up the ladder into Illinois red brick management is evil . Don't rent from any of these places they manage or you will be done the same way and they will just smile to your face and try to make you feel good about everything and then they will let you down and let you down hard .

I rent a loft from them and am anxiously waiting until my lease ends to move. One of the worst property management companies. The walls in Terrace lofts are paper thin. You can literally hear people's convos and smell any meal they cook. The elevators are always broken. The parking lot is shared with other buildings and hasn't been paved in God knows when. The downtown office staff are very condescending and have no knowledge of the properties they rent. Avoid renting from this company. Side note: they accept section 8 which is why their buildings are always ghetto and unkept.

Our goal is not to pressure sellers, but to provide a fair cash offer and a solution that works for their situation. Here are a few things that set us apart: • No fees or commissions – We cover all closing costs and title fees. • Sell on your timeline – You choose the closing date and we make it work. • No repairs or clean-up needed – We buy houses in any condition. • Transparent offers – We focus on win-win deals, not endless inspections or last-minute price reductions. • Local and experienced – As a St. Louis company, we care about our reputation and the people we work with. They "updated" this property with code violating "improvements". We have lived here for 1 year and unable to break lease although after finding a sublease they failed to comply with moving forward. They replaced the windows and failed to seal them- leading to this being the 6th time water has flood into the apartment, ruining furniture and electronics. When asked for maintenance... well we've yet to hear back. Unsealed windows has lead to outrageous utility bills as well. On top of that, it took 3 months for the "new" dishwasher to be fixed. They came in our apartment unannounced while we were running errands to fix a flooding problem happening in the apartment below. Our dog was inside and they left the front door cracked. Luckily he didn't get out. Do not recommend. Do not rent from them.

My wife and I was lucky to find a home acros the street from her mom, we gave the realtor over $1500 and patientl waited for the house to get done. After months had passed we notice the house was not getting worked on we called the office several times with no response, my wife and I took it upon ourselves and went to the office, Ken and Maria stated that their realtor had quit and took some of there money also, we provided them with the lease, Marie then went to the back to make a copy and we never seen that lease again. Being young and our lease was up at our current apartment we signed another lease that the created on the spot. We were promised again we would be able to move in soon, we checked on the house and it was being worked on. My wife and I get a call from my mother in law one night saying someone was taking the stove, refrigerator and dishwasher as she also called the police, Since Ken and Marie was out on vacation (enjoying our hard earned money) they called the maintenance guy to meet the police at the house just to find out it was the other maintenance guy who had broke into the home.. wait it gets better. We finally moved in and one day we had electricity surges blowing our tvs, games, fishtank ect since it was never an inspection done.. ( never apologized or compensation) wait it's more.. our ac unit went out and we waited months for them to fix it and when they did our dog of 10 years came up missing and was never found.. wait it's more.. they never did any repairs, paint, update anything due to we was renting to own. When we asked about the deed after 15 years of staying there Marie yelled in the phone and stated she would send the deed it's been 3 years and we have not heard from her we have moved and still goes to my mother n law house and the home is still unoccupied.... CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME, I REALLY WANT THE HOUSE I PAID FOR...
