Cooking went from a hobby to a chore and it was wearing me down. I finally found Friend that Cooks online. It was everything I wanted it to be. Pha Le comes to my house every Tuesday, does all the grocery shopping, all the cooking, all the cleanup, and portions out all my meals. She has learned my favorites types of meat, favorites types of seasonings, and the perfect portion sizes. Incidentally she also makes the best pho I've ever had.... including the 14 days I spent in Vietnam. I'm moving to Colorado soon and won't be able to use her services, but I will definitely miss her. There's nothing like coming home to fresh, healthy, tasty food.

And most importantly, her cooking is excellent! uses a rainbow of vegetables every week, I love it! The FTC system is easy to navigate and totally customizable. It was totally worth the wait.

I had no idea what to expect other than hoping for as great of an experience as the reviews I read…read more I was a little apprehensive about it being at someone's home instead of a restaurant or business, but it was probably even better I set this up for a work team bonding event. We ended up being only 5 minutes late, but Chef Titik was so welcoming. The only thing should have been a disclosure about having pets and potential allergies. She made us a welcome drink which was very tasty. She told us a little about herself and experience as a chef. We learned so much inclusive of knife sharpening techniques to how to properly cut fruits and vegetables, putting together seasoning, tips and tricks, and some facts about food. She even took photos of us and shared them. She made us feel like family at home having us over for dinner helping cook. It was such a memorable experience and so unique and perfect for my team. We all love food and travel so this is definitely one for the books. We all had a blast and would highly recommend.

The front picture pays homage to our home country of Laos and everything was packaged well and neatly. The back had a QR code for people to find the reheating instructions of each meal you received. Food: Laap Gai (Lao Chicken Salad with Herbs)- 5/5 Flavorful and delicious. Had the aroma and fragrance of all of the correct herbs in this dish. Tasted like my family's cooking. Mok Gai (Steamed Chicken and Herbs in Banana Leaves) with Cabbage- 5/5 All of the flavors worked perfectly with each other and I paired it with homemade sticky rice to make it an even more authentic meal. Meat Sampler (Beef Jerky and Lao Sausage) with Jasmine Rice- 5/5 The flavors were so yummy! They each had their own personal flavor profile and each one was amazing on its own. Jeow Bong (Lao Dipping Sauce)- 10/5 Yes, a 10/5! Loved every bit of this sauce and dipped the meats and sticky rice in it, put it on my Jasmine rice, and ate it with my cabbage. It was just the perfect accompaniment to everything I ordered! This is a definite must-have!! All in all, they have found a lifetime customer in me. For someone who is missing homemade Lao foods but can't get to it where you are or just need a break in cooking, give them a try! It's cheaper and tastier than DoorDash!!

The food is delivered via FedEx. (It's even better if you also have the FedEx zoo for precise tracking and delivery)Frozen but still 5 stars. You order online and can select from delivery dates available in your area. (Also available for some local delivery or pickup but I live too far). The box arrived on time. It was well packaged with insulation and freezer pack. My food was still frozen. I also sent some to friends in the Boston area and their box arrived perfect to. It's really nice. All the entres are individually packed and LABELED in Laos and English. There is a QR code to link to the heating instructions. For the monthly special (Deep Fried Fish in a tomato sauce) they provide written instruction instructions. I signed up for the monthly subscription which include 3 meals which you can select yourself or let them choose. It's been a while so I picked my favorites- the sweet jerky meal, the pork noodles and the monthly special. As always it is fabulous. More to good news is that there are a number of lower carb options. You can get the jerky and spicy sausages without rice. Or the protein (chicken or fish ) steamed in banana leaves. Or the classic minced chicken salad. Or the spicy red curry. I was told that they specifically selected items that would travel and freeze well. They hit the mark. Over time I Have worked my way through almost the entire menu. I could personally vouch for other items that freeze and reheat well- sometimes better in the air fryer. So fingers crossed that we see the egg rolls and yellow potato curry on the menu soon. Would DEFINITELY RECOMMEND

What impressed us most was Frank and his team's expertise, professionalism, flexibility, and problem-solving abilities in managing large-scale sample preparation while seamlessly coordinating through the many complexities that come with a major industry event. We are incredibly grateful for their partnership and would highly recommend Gmarket Chefs to any company looking for a catering team that delivers not only excellent food, but also true operational support and collaboration at future trade shows.

I wanted to plan a birthday dinner at my home and hadn't worked with a private chef before, so I wasn't sure what to expect. The short of it is I was blown away by Frank and his team from start to finish!! Frank was very responsive after my first inquiry and subsequent (read: MANY) requests. He proposed an amazing menu while accommodating several severe allergy requests. I changed the number of guests several times, which he also just rolled with. And then (!), I realized I REQUESTED THE WRONG DATE. A major error on my part. I don't recommend doing that, but Frank was also somehow able to accommodate my date change. I was incredibly grateful for that!! The dinner itself with Chef Charley was INSANELY DELICIOUS. We had an amazing round of starters, followed by a multi-course dinner and dessert. Everything was just SO, SO good. So flavorful. Cooked just perfectly. And there was plenty of food for all of the guests. (I was worried that maybe there wouldn't be generously sized portions, but this was not the case whatsoever.) On top of that, Chef Charley himself was an awesome guy and I really enjoyed working with him. We spoke before the dinner to run through everything, he helped make the dinner layout look gorgeous with some extra props I wasn't even expecting, and his cleanup job was A+. Icing on the cake for an incredibly talented chef!!! I am truly looking forward to my next opportunity to work with Frank, Charley and their team again!

I came here with some of my trainees after a field trip to the Science and Industry museum. There were 12 adults and we spent about $300, which wasn't bad considering your meal comes with two sides and cornbread. I ordered the baked turkey wings with collard greens and white rice. It was so delicious! I couldn't eat it all because the portions were huge! A lot of my trainees needed to-go bags because it was so much food in those containers. The peach cobbler is amazing too! Not too peachy and not too much breading--a perfect combination. The chef was grateful for us coming in and talked to us too! The host was a sweet man and hooked some of my trainees with some sweet tea on the house. Just beautiful people bringing delicious food to Bronzeville.

2.5 stars. Lissen…read more.. it's overpriced. Food was decent enough, but at $30+, I was expecting more. So much more. Menu is written on a whiteboard which allows them to just erase the item when it sells out. But, a digital display would elevate the ambiance and lend a more polished feel. Details matter, especially when you're asking customers to pay premium prices. Customer service was really rocky to start, but the gentleman with the locs saw my face, heard my comment, and quickly adjusted. Much appreciated. Keep that same energy for ALL your customers. What we ate: Delicious: peach cobbler (fantastic!) Decent: short ribs, Mac n cheese, green beans, cornbread muffin Don't bother: collards, salmon One major gripe: at this price point, being served in takeout containers with plastic cutlery cheapens the experience. Invest in real plates and silverware -- your margins can surely support the upgrade. If you are going to automatically grat a dine-in check, then your patrons should sit at clean tables and be greeted by a smiling face. Neither of these were part of my experience. But I also didn't see the gratuity on my check. So, there's that. Clean tables and a warm greeting are basic expectations -- not bonuses -- especially if an automatic gratuity is being added to dine-in checks. (Although curiously, I didn't see this reflected on mine.) As for the $1 price tag on a small 16 oz bottle of water -- yes, you're making a solid markup. But why not reinvest a few cents more in a larger, sport-cap option? Small touches like that make a big difference in perceived value. The space was nearly empty during my visit, but I can imagine it picks up post-Sunday service. Still, the lack of energy in the room matched the food: fine, but not worth rushing back for. Nothing Would I return? Maybe. But I'm not in a hurry.
