When it comes to style, Pico Coffee is certainly up there. Who wouldn't want to patronize a small espresso stand situated on a idyllic European church square? There's something so quintessentially Europe about sipping a cappoccino under a line of oak trees as church bells chime overhead. It is for this reason that Pico Coffee has become a local landmark in the beautiful Agnesviertel of Köln.
But, when it comes to coffee, I'm afraid that Pico doesn't quite cut it. In terms of quality, you'd get about the same espresso as at a train station kiosk. In all fairness, that still much better than anything Starbucks throws at you. Regardless, Pico Coffee's main draw is the atmosphere of the Neusser Platz. If you want good coffee, go to one of the other amazing cafés in the Veedel.
