You will not get a Michelin star level of service, the food will not be delicate and subtle, nor will it win awards and that's all a-ok with me! We were in this part of Paisley whilst I was getting a punctured fixed so I wasn't in the best of moods as it was, but isn't it amazing what a cheery welcome and a smile will do for your mood! It was mid-morning so we had the place to ourselves for a caffeine and breakfast, but I won't hesitate to pop in next time I'm in the area... in fact given how good some of the cakes on display looked I may even go out of my way to get some... er... cake research done. Our tea and coffee appeared swiftly, shortly followed by a breakfast rolls (bacon for Kirsty, sausage for me) which were just as quickly devoured! As far as breakfast rolls go they certainly hit the mark, and my coffee wasn't too bad at all, certainly better than I had expected! Definitely a wee hidden gem to have up your sleeve.

Nice cafe with really friendly owners and staff and food is always good. Will make something 'as…read moreyou like it' if they can e.g. leaving something you don't like out of a sandwich, etc. Would recommend their lentil soup.(..fab and really warming especially on a chilly day), the all day breakfast and empire biscuits, but everything I've had has been great! An excellent find and a short walk from the town centre/ town hall/ train station and Piazza Shopping Centre. Well worth a visit.

Prepare to wait in line to order food and drinks. Sat at table for over thirty minutes til we saw…read morethe small print on menu that said " you order your own food ". Food prices are typical raping at the airport. Gouge as much as you can out of trapped travelers On top of this they have a tip jar at the counter for when you order and pick up your own food!!!! Lmao Then you get to wait over 30 minutes for an order of pancakes. If you're in a hurry this place is a real bad choice You also have to wait for tables while people are sleeping at them and not eating!! BUT the pancakes were awesome

Wonders never cease. It seems like there IS an ok food option in Glasgow Airport (now that Eat is…read moregone) and it's Beardmore. I'd never tried here before but in the spirit of adventure came here for lunch. I got a southern fried chicken burger with chips and a glass of wine. Prices are v steep - nearly £12 for a chicken burger. Madness. Thankfully, it was damn good so I can deal with it. Presented on a tray with a bucket of fries, I was really impressed by the chips as they had a beautiful crunch (from reading Tracy W's review its because they're coated in flour) so not great if you're GF but otherwise delicious. The burger had a massive bit of chicken on it, very crumbed and a little dry but tasted totally great inside a soft brioche bun. I didn't like the sauce (BBQ gross) but once I added Tommy sauce it was great. Service is never going to be great at an airport pub. Slow and uncaring - the guy was even laughing about there being three delayed flights. Including mine. If I'd had an actual working knife I might have used it. Probably why they don't give you real knives. Apart from that, this is now my fav spot for food in the airport. Here's hoping it's good next time and my flight isn't delayed. Note: toilets inside the out as well as departure screens. Order at the bar.

Cardosi's Restaurant - The meal is great! It makes you feel you are in Italy during that time! And the price is fair. Have to go their again!

Having visited the restaurant for years, celebrating all manner of things with my family, I can honestly say I consider it to be Paisley's best restaurant. The staff are attentive, friendly, knowledgeable and they make each experience - always a culinary delight - truly excellent. American and Italian influences are married beautifully; the latter being (thankfully) far more prominent leaving the former as an interesting accent. The resultant atmosphere is inviting, warm, relaxed and a pleasure to dine in. The lighting in the back is perfect and really makes Cardosi's a great place for a special occasion whilst the booths are somewhat secluded and provide for an intimate retreat in which to enjoy an afternoon or evening with good company. The menu has developed over the years but some signature dishes remain popular with my family; the simple Penne Alfredo is pasta perfection and the goats' cheese bruschetta (one of the four or so bruschettas offered) is divine. Presentation is thoughtful and consistent no matter which service you're enjoying; this is a testament to the kitchen staff as dinner can be exceptionally busy. Value is excellent, especially at lunchtime when two courses can be had for £9.50. Evening and pre-theatre are very well priced and do not overly restrict the diner. The à la carte options can be a little pricey but I have yet to be anything less than impressed by the choices therefrom. Recently there have been a couple of duck dishes on both the evening and à la carte menus which have been superbly executed. The Coppa Scozia, which raises the humble vanilla ice cream to dizzying gastronomic heights with the addition of crumbled Scottish tablet and hot caramel sauce, stands out from the dessert menu (but is equally matched by the rich and decadent cheesecake). Heralded by many as Paisley's go-to place for any special occasion, Cardosi's is unrivalled in the town and can hold its own against many of the reputable Glasgow restaurants. Whether you go for lunch or dinner, with a crowd or your significant other, you can be sure you'll be enjoying the very best that Paisley has to offer in quality dining.
