People's reviews are hilarious!! They come once and don't get something on their sandwich and it's the end of the world!!! It's your responsibility to check your switch before you leave. I haven't had one wrong yet. First of all I've been to this Deli D probably 10 times. I frequent Deli D's literally all over town. Not like some people that claim they do, but don't leave Clovis or North Fresno!! This is one of the best Deli D's in town. Why? Because they give you tons of meat. That's how I judge them! I went to the Shaw and Armstrong location and will never again return! I was socially distancing myself and waiting in the corner for my food wearing my mask and minding my own business. A customer walked in and asked if he had to wear a mask in the establishment while looking at me. A woman whom I believe to be the manager and or the owner who was walking out the door looked at him and then me while laughing and said," NO, We don't do THAT here" all of the employees looked at me and laughed. I understand their is confusion about wearing masks and believe people have a right to wear or not to wear, but when it comes to FOOD it should NOT be a question. I was disrespected and laughed at. First time here. Not gonna lie... That was a great sandwich! I got the ham with sprouts and lots of other food fresh stuff! I am honestly very pleased with the sandwich. It was served up quickly and generously filled without being super sloppy. Had a Lipton sparking peach ice tea which I had never heard off. It was very tasty. I went to my favorite Deli D yesterday to grab lunch, my how things have changed. I've frequent this restaurant once or twice a week for the past two years. Ordered a Brocollie Cheese Bowl of Soup, the Cashier said "No Soups on Monday." So I ordered a Salad and waited for about 10 minutes and the cashier came over and asked what meat I would like in it? I Said, Ham. I noticed none of the regular staff was present. Upon delivery of the salad, I requested a knife as you can't cut the salad with a fork. Oh no Sir we don't have knives at this restaurant. So I calmly left with my Salad to go back to the office kitchen were we stock forks, knives and even spoons. What's happened to this franchise? This place is awful. When you tell them to make a wrap. They end up giving you stale wrap. It was hard. The fries were very salty. I never asked for season fries. This place shouLd put shut down. I don't come here often, but I needed my weekly deli in my diet, so I came to this establishment. I haven't had any problems with DD, unless you get delivery from them, so I had no real high expectations. No problems ordering, the snag only happened after I recieved the order. First, considering my particular sandwich was supposed to be cold, it sure felt like it had been sitting under the lamp a few seconds. The bread being slightly warm is one thing, the meat, veggies and cheese as well: No, just....no! I ended up asking for wax paper and take it to go. After letting it refrigerate for a while at home, it tasted better; but I never realized they put so much lettuce in their sandwiches. Seriously, half the sandwich was lettuce! It might have been the specific location I went to, but I ended up taking out half the lettucce before I was satisfied with my meal. Someone needs to be retrained over there and they definitely need to make sure their coolers or chillers are operating properly. read more

They completely mixed up two of the three sandwiches we ordered; used the wrong bread for the wrong sandwiches, included mayo on all sandwiches when we asked for none, included onions when asked for none, etc. I'm not sure why they couldn't follow the order as we were the only people who walked in and whose sandwiches were being prepared. It is clean and the servers were friendly on my visit I just don't care much for any Deli Delicious because of the bread...it is and was to hard...stale? Ordered the sandwich on white bread. As for the contents of the sandwich...it was OK, just need improvements on the bread. Also a bit expensive @ $6.50 for a small cold sandwich. The worker even wrote notes so that they could get the order right. When I picked up the order, it was completely wrong. They tried to fix, but it was still wrong. Some kid in back was signing like I was going to give him the golden ticket to go into the next round. The last in front of us ordered a medium sandwich on white bread. Girl at the register "we're out of medium white bread" then she ordered a chipotle chicken "we're out of chipotle" soooo much for my medium chipotle sandwich I always order. So I ended up ordering a small hot pastrami and Swiss which I have to admit was pretty good. Don't know if I would chose this DD again. Between the "kids" in back, the way they were acting, playing music very loud, dropping things and laughing like they were goofing off and the fact you could definitely tell there was no managers working, we will most likely go somewhere else next time or order to pick up. read more

Really disappointed at the lack of customer service at this Deli D location. Called about 7:45 pm to place an order and the phone rang with no pick up. Arrived at 7:50 pm and was greeted with an eye roll and a look at his watch and an exchange between 2 employees under their breath. Order my sandwich and as others start to walk in and order and those customers too get attitude. One of the employees joked that he would tell a customer he didn't speak English if someone ordered fries because he didn't want to turn on the fryer. My mother and I were not greeted by the employees, they were acting immature and goofing around with each other and what I assume is the manager. The manager comes up to take our order, no greeting, just staring at us, annoyed. After ordering, we sat and waited. I hope the owner/manager reads this! Worst service I've ever received at a Deli Delicious! I even witnessed it with another group of people. The employees tonight should seriously be Fired, I'm sorry, but how do you forget about people's orders! There's only a couple of us in there and we're each in couples. So really that's like no one. It's October 25, 2014 - 6pm. It started with us, we ordered beer batter fries and 2 sandwiches - we got it for there to eat inside. First it came to us to go, so that was annoying and they handed us a bag and pretty much were like okay bie. We looked inside the bag and took out our sandwiches and of course they forgot the fries. So we waited about 5 mins. Nothing... My fiancé went to the front and asked about the fries and they looked puzzled. They checked our transaction and were like oh yeah I guess they did order them. So another 5 mins pass. Still haven't dropped the fries into the fryer and the boy walks up and says oh sorry we forgot. We'll fix them right now. I don't get why they couldn't of just dropped them and then talked to us? So he walks in the back and rummages through stuff and finally we hear him drop the fries. A couple mins go by there finally done. And we get to finally eat our dinner we paid for. A couple of girls walk in and order and pay. then more people come in but separate orders which they got before the first couple who were there first plus they got there sandwiches super fast and way before those girls. The original girls who order looked at the people that came in after them because they hadn't even gotten there order yet. Turns out They didn't even make her order and it's been 20 minutes they completely forgot there order!!! One girl stands up and is contemplating with her friend on whether they should say something but by then there is no one to be found. And she's just standing there at the counter looking around like a lost dog. All the employees are in the back doing who knows what. My fiancé was watching and started feeling bad for her so he went to the side gate and yelled for them and the guy finally came up. My fiancé was still frustrated about our whole order and was getting even more upset because those two young girls. So he was like yeah those girls are embarrassed to say something, but I'm not. Have you made there order. It's been 20 mins since they've paid and you've made every persons sandwich except there's who's walked through that door. So he goes and checks the register and talks to the two girls who I guess are on sand which duty and they're like oh yeah we forgot.... Like seriously? You forgot. Then say sorry and offer free fries after it's been 20 mins and have no idea you skipped over a whole order? That sandwich should of been on the house for such poor service. You kids are so unprofessional and definitely too young and immature to be working together or even there since no one has a clue what's going on or what orders you need fulfill. There should be a manager on duty to watch you because it's ridiculous how oblivious you guys were. I go to the deli delicious on Herndon and clovis. All young guys and they're always on it and work hard. So really there's no excuse.
