Surprisingly good ramen in Nice! Wasn't expecting to find such a tasty place, but we did. The…read moreprice is really worth it for lunch as we got a big bowl of ramen + gyoza or fried chicken. We each got the special so we were able to order fried chicken for one, and gyoza for the other. The broth was rich and full of flavor. The noodles seemed to be homemade, but not sure! The friend chicken was dark meat which i appreciated. You could see the kitchen from where you are seated, which is a good and bad thing. Good because you can see your meal being cooked, but bad because the airflow was horrible in here and extremely hot (we were SWEATING!). The owners were the ones cooking and were of Japanese descent. When we left, they extended a Japanese goodbye/greeting we have heard in other restaurants but can't remember what it means! The wait staff were French and extremely friendly and were able to communicate in French Or English. They allowed me to try out my French and answered my questions so that i could communicate even better. All in all a great spot with tasty food. If they had A/C then i would have given it a 5 star.

It was a group of 5 and we all mostly got something different to try. I got the spicy beef pho and was so so happy with my choice. It wasn't crazy spicy which I was happy about because I was able to add in spicy chili sauce they give to you on every table! You must get pho when you go to this place and don't even bother getting any appetizers because they were a little on the pricey side. Instead I got one pho for myself and then split a medium sized dish with one of my friends. We got the chicken curry. Don't remember the name of it exactly but it's another must have!! If you look at my picture I posted you can figure it out because the menu is all pictures which is nice considering I don't know must Vietnamese dishes names by heart.

The place was dirty, and they charged me 3 euros for tap water that tasted terrible. The food portions were small and didn't taste good. I've been to other Vietnamese restaurants in Nice, and this one was the worst. I don't get why it has good reviews. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone! I didn't take any pictures of the restaurant or dishes. The owner and his two friends were standing right behind my table, talking loudly in both French and Vietnamese. It was so uncomfortable. I couldn't finish my meal and just left halfway through.

You can't even find a single Cambodian restaurant in Chicago, and they have a fast food one here! No fair... My timing must have been just right as the owner walked in and left the door open for me to walk in, and I couldn't help but be overwhelmed with all the options. I got to talk with the owner who took is Cambodian in Khmer. She was a super sweet lady that also left Cambodia the same time my family did. She took pity on me with having just gotten into town and was pick pocketed the day before on the train on my way to Nice, and so I had some Kuy-teav on the house. It was pretty good for fast food. I really enjoyed the soup broth having good flavor even though the noodles and meat was reheated. It's a cool spot as there is a lounge area as well. If I was young this would be the late night spot after a fun night of clubbing. I wish I had thought of getting coffee here with the noodles and some jacquai. If I get a chance to come back though, I certainly will!

This is a smallish family-run spot that seats about 20-25 people. It reminded me of Vietnamese restaurants in NYC, simple decor and slightly sticky floors. When I was there it was slower with a few tables before 6pm, and several more people arrived, also mostly tourists since this is a few blocks from the Nice train station. I say people bc there were mostly single diners when I was there, maybe a couple parties of two. Thankfully the nice young woman (I believe the daughter) who took my order was fairly proficient in English and communication was smooth. Service was very prompt. She brought out prawn chips at the beginning of the meal and I ate one piece, it was crispy and savory. I was a little surprised she took the rest back without asking before the pho was served. According to a certain other app and what I saw other patrons ordering, the most popular items seem to be the pho (rice noodles in soup with beef), bun bo hue (rice noodles in soup with beef and pig trotter), marmite fruit de mer (seafood and rice casserole) and nem (fried spring rolls). I got the Grand Pho €12 which was slightly larger--it did come with a lot of noodles--and a single extra beef ball compared to the regular pho. The broth was tasty, and there were two types of beef cuts, one a thicker than I usually expect but both tasted fresh and tender. Pho was served with fresh mint leaves and raw bean sprouts, pretty typical. The prices are very fair for the location. The restroom is located to the back of the restaurant on the right. I wish them success!

Great meal in France!…read more This was a fantastic first dinner in Nice right off the main drag. We had reservation for 7pm and arrived a few minutes early. We waited a few minutes while they prepped our table and we were seated promptly. The vibe was cool, very French cafe feeling on the streets. The waiters were kind and attentive was you settled in. They patiently answered all our menu questions. We ordered the fois gras (because when in France), the duck and the octopus. All the food was excellent, the fois gras was perfect (although probably wouldn't order it again for ethical reasons). The octopus was absolutely perfect, very very easy to screw up, but they nailed it; every bit melting in our mouths. The duck breast was perfect, juicy and cooked to perfect. All the dishes were served with plenty of accompaniment. Great meal for a great French experience. Would highly recommend.

It happened to be happy hour so I was able to take advantage of some great drink deals. For my dinner, I ordered the duck with vegetables, potatoes, and added a side of ratatouille. It was all very good and the portions were large for the price. The orange sauce was unique and it seemed to have orange peels in it as well. While this might be more of a touristy spot with this location, it was a true French menu, which was my goal. The food and service were very good and I'll come back.
